The menu has a veggie, a meat and a fish option, which is nice. The food was very good but portions are a bit too small, especially if you take the vegetarian menu - which was not really filling. The staff is very friendly and will explain the dishes to you. They have nice cocktails and a good selection of bio wines.

super glad that they retained my reservation even though i went in 45min late due to train delays. tried to call them earlier to explain but they could not understand me when i was explaining in english. the place was almost full when we arrived. although the inside seats were quite warm due to the summer heat, it was after sunset so it was starting to cool down. reservations surely needed at this place looking at how full they were. outdoor seats looked great with the evening breeze. service was nice and they tried very hard to explain to us the menu in english. each person had to order a set menu and they dont allow sharing. the 3-course set menu was nice and we enjoyed the dinner. chef came out to greet us and he was from africa previously hence the fusion cuisine. there was also mini dishes in between the courses. definitely worth a try!

I learnt about this place some months back being a place where African flavors have been put into French cuisines, and it turned absolutely true when we visited Petit Ogre for lunch today, The food was awesome with a set menu, having options of vegetarian, fish and meat, The chef had taken pains to design each cuisine which was unique in taste, flavor and presentation, We ordered a red wine from France of 2017 and though it was expensive, it was very good, We left the place with good memory, I recommend that people who like fine dining should definitely visit the place once, Although it was expensive, but it was worth once in a while to taste such food,

This was the first meal I had in France and this restaurant set the bar very high for the remainder of my visit. The food is excellent and creative. There is a great display of technique but the use of various spices and flavours not traditional to French cuisine is thoughtfully used. The service was attentive and helpful. I would definitely come back.

Petit Ogre is a cozy and elegant place that offers a fusion of African and European cuisine, with fresh and homemade products. The restaurant has a friendly staff, including the chef who often comes to greet the guests. Excellent quality, creativity and presentation of the dishes, as well as the service and atmosphere.

Petit Ogre should be renamed Little Jewel, super French African contemporary fusion. Great menu with special taster of 2 starters, 2 mains and a desert (suitably reduced sized portions). Good choice for vegetarians too. Worth a visit.

Best food we had in Lyon. Very kindly sat us and served us despite it being close to their close. Went above and beyond in helping us understand the menu and picking wines. Again, best food. Highly recommend if you're anywhere in the area, or to make a special trip for!
