Nice place for taking photos in lyon

One of the prettiest sites in Lyon to just sit and admire throughout the day and night. You can either sit around the fountain itself and enjoy it, or at the bar across the way and sip on a coffee or beer and take it all in. This is one of the most simple, yet detailed fountains in the city.

Gorgeous Square dominated by a stunning fountain in the middle of the square. It takes its name from the Jacobins religious preachers of the Order of Saint Dominic. If you read up the history of this Square (created in 1556) it had gone through several names and it's fascinating. There are several buildings here of interests like at number 1 built in 1860 and number 4 is painter Paul Borel's house. Most of the buildings around this square speak of wealth and decadent making this UNESCO World Heritage site a must visit place in Lyon.

Great location to grab a beer, wine or coffee and people watch. Waiter is engaging. The toilet is disgusting, no seat.

Nice square, beautiful fountain, plenty of shops, and close to Bellecour. Nothing to complain about here.

The old opera house is always worthy of a visit, especially during the light festival

An Awesome laid back square at the heart of the city. With a water fountain and benches of seating. A great place to relax with an ice cream for example after hours of sightseeing or shopping. A cool breeze comes due to its presence between the two rivers: Soane and Rhone

Nicely located but súper expensive and dishonest. After charging 20 euros for two cappuccinos and 2 grape juices (half glass), they wanted to keep the cash we payed, without giving us the cashier’s receipt. Watch out for the rip-off .. 😡

My favourite square in Lyon. A bit hidden from the busy main pedestrian street, nice and calm. Beautiful architecture, great photo op, some good cafes and bars nearby, shopping street as well. Should not be missed when strolling through the city

Small square with an interesting fountain in the middle. It is a bit hidden from tourist paths, so it is not as crowded as the other plazas/squares in Lyon. It actually feels quite relaxing to sit in one of the few benches around (there might be a need for a few more). Shame we didn’t get to see it at night, as you can see that it looks lovely with the lights on.

The only reason I don't give it full marks its because it only consists of a fountain and 2 or 3 benches, having said that, it is beautiful and makes up for a great place to admire the artistry of the fountain itself and take some photos. It has many shops and restaurants nearby, but beware of the prices as they are mostly luxurious brands or high end restaurants except for a few ones. Must see landmark.

The best place to have lunch or drink in lyon specially when weather is nice

Tranquil square a bit tucked away from most tourists paths but right under your nose. Beautiful fountain square with plenty of restaurants and cafes around, and very close to one of the major shopping districts. Spend time over here, you won't regret it!

Beautiful space to sit and relax in Lyon. It's especially beautiful at night and a great way to appreciate a bit of silence as well as the hum of the city in the distance.

Very expensive and quantity is very less. We just ordered two glass kf orange juice which they charged us for 12£ and the glasses were of small size Nd not filled completely. Highly dissapoint with the quantity of what we got and in that amount. They are looting us
