Amazing restaurant! All the courses we ordered were phenomenal! Especially the butternut cream sup and the Creme Brulee. The service was perfect! Fine dining at it's best!

Good restaurant that is very visible as you venture through the area. They feature many of the traditional dishes that are worth trying out.

We had dinner at Christmas night. We really enjoyed our time there. The staff is really kind and helpful. The food is exceptional!! We absolutely loved everything. PS. Nice touch with the train going around the hall. It offers some history behind it.

Das Essen war sehr gut, da kann man nichts sagen. Das anbieten ok, nicht toll, die Stühle viel zu klein und unbequem. Aber das große Manko war der Service. Das war leider gar nichts. Obwohl wir eine große Gruppe waren, die ggf interessant für den Umsatz sind war die Bewirtung einfach unterdurchschnittlich. Service wird hier ganz klein geschrieben. Es war nicht möglich Folgegetränke zu bestellen, das Personal hatte einfach keinen Bock. Völlige Ignoranz. Ein absolutes No Go im Service. Obwohl das Essen sehr gut war würde ich nie wieder das Restaurant besuchen oder eine Empfehlung aussprechen. Der Service war leider super schlecht.

EDIT I always go to l’Est whenever I come back home to Lyon. But when I went for Christmas dinner there with my friends, the food was really disappointing, I was actually really surprised. I had the perfect egg with pumpkin mousseline, it was okay but quite heavy. Then the steak tartare, which I always order, I had it in summer and it was delicious. But this time it felt completely flat, no taste whatsoever, as if it was only mixed with Tabasco (which I asked not to put in), no mustard, no oil. Just really cold meat. I was so disappointed. My friends’ dishes were okay, the lamb was nice and juicy, but the calf liver was so pink, almost raw that my friend felt a bit sick eating it all, as the piece was huge. We waited a long time to get the bill as no one was coming to us, and I told them about my feedback on the tartare which she said she will let the kitchen know. But I’m not even sure if that was the case. Not sure if I’ll go there again if this is the quality that’s provided on a big night such as Christmas night. PREVIOUSLY As always, one of my favorite restaurant in Lyon! I love the environment, the food is delicious and the service is impeccable! The brioche bread was so good with the foie gras and I was very happy with my scallop and pumpkin risotto! Definitely recommend!

This is excellent French dinning. Meals are well balanced, appropriately portioned and delicious. The staff is fast and extremely professional, they even helped I English if we didn't understand the French terms. This place keep the legacy of Chef Paul strong.

luxury food diffrent taste unique dishes but the waiter told me the chef has a michelin star but when I checked the website of resturant they didnt mention that price: $$$

Enjoyed the food , service, location but I expected more creativity with the menu . But i will back to try again .

This was our first meal in Lyon and we love it. It was a recommendation form a local, French cuisine. There are many location but this one was the best! The building is beautiful and private free parking. Food was delicious only one thing there are not many vegetarian options :/

Fantastic food. The beef fillet and Iberian pluma were the stand out dishes for me. Cozy dining setting. Although staff attention was divided across multiple tables, the waiter were very friendly and hospitable.

This place came highly recommended. From the minute we checked in to leaving the service was great. Very attentive to detail. The food was very nice, hitting all the points, from taste to presentation. Highly recommend!

Our first evening here tonight and it was marvellous. Great food, great service, great atmosphere, great value for money. What more could you want?

Great location and vibe with the open kitchen. Good value for such refined food. Only 4 stars as service could have been more professional. Very good selection of wines (local or not). Poulet Bresse was perfectly roasted and served with a light and tasty sauce. The Poulet Bresse with morille cream is apparently far superior. Will have to come back.

A magical place, an open kitchen with new staff all concentrated, a wonderful lunch, it was a fantastic experience, the food, the employees, all scool service, very good. But I can't leave here without a very important point; For us Portuguese / Latinos coffee is very important!!! the espresso was very bad, sorry but the coffee should improve after such a good meal the coffee has to be just as good. I highly recommend this experience. It was a great pity for me that on the 12th I didn't arrive in time for lunch at the SUD, next time

Service was great coming from trainee staff. Food was good. I had the fixed menu for 2 courses, was heaps of food and very tasty.

I came from Canada with my boyfriend's family from Mexico, and to start with the server was horrible. She gave menus to everyone but me! It was not until my boyfriend gave his menu that the server gave him a menu. We ordered and 40 mi later with no food on the table they told one of our party members that they were out of the item he asked, 40 min later! The bread was gross!!!!! Like hello we are in France! Bread is supposed to be good!!!! Food arrived 1 hr and 30 min after we ordered! I wouldn't recommend it. It is ashamed because we were so excited to dine here
