A very warm atmosphere. Good and smiley services. Garlic shrimps are fantastic. Also the oil from them with bread are delicious. Breaded Steak with fried eggs also are a good choice. Paella with seafood, check for it Grilled octopus is really special Mix croquettes, a smart idea for starting the meal The spot is wright in the downtown. Go for it.

The meat was ok, nothing exceptional. Their beef was not greatly tender, much on the tougher side, sometimes hard to chew on. Their choice of menu is good, they have many types of meat available. Thumbs up for their beef empanadas, they're greatly tasty. Now on the disappointments side. I was disappointed the bread I asked for to eat my meat never ever came. The first time I asked for it -once my order already came, they told me to wait a bit as they were cooking the bread, and that it would arrive warm. Guess what, it never came. So I had to eat my meat without bread eventually. A real pity. Then, the wines they have are insanely expensive. We're talking 20-30€ a bottle...

This place has some coolness in it. It’s very fancy but at the same time cozy. I had a slice of meat and it was perfectly cooked. It didn’t like the paprika on my potatoes chips though, it was not noted on the menu. However, I’ve experienced a great dinner.

Outstanding service in this Tapas restaurant just off the main street. Food was excellent. Service was attentive & friendly. Nice size portions & very reasonable prices. Couldn't fault the place.

Great food, but the waiters weren't interested in talking our drink order during the 30 minutes we waited for our friends to arrive. Had to ask several times for one dish to served - in the end we were done eating and then we last this was finally served. After getting the menu for dessert we actvily had to ask the waiter to take our dessert order.

Helena tapas was an alright restaurant. Their tapas are pretty good, and priced fairly. Their entrecote was not great‐ the meat wasn't cooked evenly, with some bits being medium while others were well done. Service was quick and efficient throughout, yet not impersonal. Drinks were good too. Might be worth a visit, if there is no wait.

We have been there twice, first at lunch time and we have seafood paella with sangria and everything was delicious, so at night time, we decided to come back and try tapas, and everything was delicious, specially the tortilla (potato omelette). Very friendly staff and great service

We went twice to this lovely restaurant because of the nice atmosphere, super friendly staff, great drinks (especially the Aperol) and the great variety of food and tapas!

Greatl food, prices are not a rip-off.

Accomplished cooking and high calibre staff. Pork stew was super tender and flavoursome. Prawns pil pil had chilli oil had just the right amount of heat. Russian salad was tasty and well-presented. Grilled squid was perfectly cooked. Really nice surprise to find this authentic place in a high-tourist area.

Very good tasting food with good service and freindly staff

Really lovely place to eat dinner at, the paella was really good. Especially the seafood paella was very flavorful and tasty. We also had some street performances, which helped build a lovely atmosphere. Not to forget Helena was really professional and she was such a good host plus the service was really nice.

Very close to the busiest streets, but tucked away to offer a much more peaceful setting. Service is great, while food is awesome. Tried several tapas and not one did disappoint. Andaluzian stew, garlic shrimp are a must. We drank white vine, again, good choice. Creme brulee was great as well.

Shrimp (missed a bit salt, but crazy good), tataki (a bit too much salt), ribs (perfection!!), pipirrana (delicious!), paella - everything was extremely tasty! My favorite place in Malaga so far! Sangria was amazing too! Tortilla was in my opinion a bit too dry, but my friend loved it! Atmosphere and location 5 stars. Service impeccable! Thank you all! <3

This is a review for going twice. I gave them the benefit of the doubt from going the first time and went the second for my Birthday do. It's such a shame I can't give a higher score, in fact I am being kind with this review as I am tempted to give less. I went having booked a table in advance that I wanted. The table was taken and we had another table which I didn't want. An hour later we got our table. The food isn't special either, the Carrillada wasn't succulent like it should be... I could have cooked it better... the salmon rolls are worth having, but there is not a lot of cooking needed! And we waited both times to be served drinks, and many times even forgotten about. In fact the first timeour whole order was forgotten and three tables served before us! It's such a shame to invite Spanish friends to a Spanish restaurant and the service and food is poor. Its sad. If you care about the restaurant more it will do well. But not like this... Good luck. I don't recommend going and I won't be going again. You have no system!

It has nice interior decor, but food is just ok. We were here for tapas, there was no wait. We had the empanadas, meat balls, ham, and sardine and nothing was impressive. The complimentary olives were the highlight of the meal, if you like olives.

Overlay the place is nice and food is good, but staff barley speak English, we made a request and than we were forgotten.. but I would highly recommend in terms of food quality and the look. The toilet needs some attention, was blocked, bit dirty and no toilet paper.

Looking for a place for paella. Found Helena's and it was a fabulous choice. They were also able to help with gluten free options. Fabulous wait staff. Fresh and tasty food. Biggest langoustines I've seen in Spain this trip!! Great sangria. Definitely recommend and would return. Also it was a great location because it was just far enough off the busy part of the strip that you could enjoy lunch without the hectic tourists. We ate outside but the inside looked beautiful as well.
