😠 Horrible school. It looks pretty and is painted and described as a wonderful and healthy environment even though I would describe it as anything but that. This is excellent school and great place for kids. It is also the only public international School around. They are part of the UWC/Atlantic College group and the offer education for 4 years all the way through to IB. A very global village of kids from all over.

I prefer an international school for my children and in general the UWC has good teachers, but the management shows in many things no accountability, especially during covid, etc. One of my kids had barely any (online) school during all the months the school was closed. A few short YouTube videos a week and saw her own teacher only online for 3 minutes online in all these months (But still paying the full tuition fee and basically no delivery) . Also, very difficult to communicate with teachers, everything through email or through the reception. It looks all very intimate at the first few times but overtime you notice the distance between teachers and parents is very big. A beautiful school with good teachers but cannot recommend this school for many things, some mentioned above.

Deteriorated in the last years. The current top leadership team is poor and sometimes 'the mission' seems more important than the kids.

Fantastic facility and surrounding environment. Also not to far from the Maastricht center.

My years at UWCM were truly the best years of my life. I was there from 12-16 years old and not only did I learn so much, but I also made so many friends from all around the world and had a great time in general.

Horrible school. It looks pretty and is painted and described as a wonderful and healthy environment even though I would describe it as anything but that. The "headmaster's: favourite way of solving things is to send a student to the counselor and put the blame on the student. The headmaster has done nothing to solve the problems that this school has. If there is ever an issue the headmaster sits everyone down for 2 hours and gives a very boring presentation which solves nothing.

Main teachers of teachers body are Dutch - rather limited international experience. Not selective - but also not pushing for performance : Dutch “ approach” 5.5 (=6) is sufficient. This school classified the presence of many languages as a specialty …,,.. though it’s inherent to being an international school. Arriving with a British Curriculum education your child will likely be well ahead in sciences ( our daughter didn’t learn anything new in mathematics during 1st year at uwc. Despite UWC part of local educational organisation where “ sister school” (Porta Mosana ) provides challenging extra curricular activities for (highly) gifted scholars ( unlike UWC) , UWC wasn’t willing to provide “okay for participation” info to Porta Mosana despite having provided uwc with psychological test report. As consequences we had not choice but to relocate to avoid our daughter to be further damaged by uwc education.

I used to go here from year 1-6 it was amazing, and fun, and the teacher's were nice, but on the year i left, they changed leadership, and everything went wrong.
