Bistro-style
restaurant
in
the
center
of
Maastricht
with
Lyon
vibes
(hence
the
name
"bouchon").
We
started
with
oysters,
beef
tartare
and
escargots
in
butter,
all
good
tastes.
Next,
we
both
had
bavette
which
was
very
tender
and
tasty.
We
then
shared
a
cheese
platter
(Touraine
goat,
morbier,
époisses
and
bleu
d'Auvergne
;
one
of
the
better
cheese
platters
we
had
in
a
while)
and
shared
a
creme
brulee
that
was
very
well
done.
Our
food
was
accompanied
with
a
carafe
of
marsanne
(Yves
Guilleron)
and
a
carafe
of
loup
du
Ventoux
southern
côtes-du-rhône,
both
good
wines
for
their
price.
All
in
all
a
great
experience!
The
only
thing
would
be
the
service,
you
don't
have
a
personal
waiter
which
means
you
need
to
ask
around
a
lot
and
you're
not
paid
attention
to
very
carefully,
especially
when
it
gets
busy.
And
of
course
because
it
tastes
so
good,
it
gets
busy
so
be
sure
to
reserve!
(About
12
people
in
small
groups
were
turned
away
while
we
ate
here).
