An experience I won't be quick to forget. The hotel is clean, serene,beautiful and with good food and wonderful attentive staff

This hotel is a true reflection of Nigeria's endemic corruption and incompetence. I arrived at this hotel with my wife and daughter with a confirmed reservation for 4nights which was charged at N110,000. Upon arrival I was told my reservation had been cancelled because of the PDP Primaries and their rate had increased since when I made my booking, therefore I would need to add an additional N40,000 a night to get a room, so I requested to speak to the Manager, but was told the manager wasn't available , so the receptionist decided to call the owner, who refused to speak with me but asked the receptionist to give us another room which lacks the facilities in our booked room. After protesting for over 2hrs and my wife and daughter were now fatigued and hungry due to the long flight, so I decided to stay just for the night. My troubles was heightened in the room due to very poor and shabby amenities, the hot water was not running, the furnishing was poor and unkempt. We tried to use the complimentary tea and coffee but no milk, when we called receptionist to request for milk 🥛 we were told we have to pay N1000. The following morning we requested for our complimentary breakfast as indicated in my reservation confirmation, but to the greatest shock the receptionist told me breakfast is not included in my reservation, I proceeded to show them the confirmation which clearly stated breakfast included. She claimed it wasn't showing on her system and insisted I have to pay. All efforts to speak with a manager or supervisor fell on deaf ears. My family and I was so traumatized we left to eat breakfast outside the hotel and checked out immediately. At this stage, I broke down in tears and cried for my beloved country, this hotel and it's management is a reflection of leadership failure at all level. Endemic corruption, immediate gratification, exploitation and greed. This hotel is charging for services they do not provide, the swimming pool we were told was under renovation, but wasn't mentioned in their website, the room they offered has no Jacuzzi as advertised, but was made to pay the same amount for a shabby amenities and services. The failure of the Nigerian Tourist board or the organisation responsible for vetting and grading hotels have not only failed in their duties, but have contributed to the scamming of tourists and Nigerians in the diaspora. If me a proud Nigerian could be scammed like this in my own country, imagine what foreigners coming to Nigeria experience. All the poor services from health, transportation, hospitality, security and crime is a perfect mirror reflection of our grossly incompetent leadership and unless the citizens choose to take their country back, we are heading for an inevitable destruction as a people.

It's a beautiful place. The pool side is also great. But the parking spaces are limited.

The rooms are nice but the customer service is so horrible. I couldn’t get in at 3 AM in the morning when I came from the club, because the main entrance was locked up with a metal chain and lock!!!They were all sleeping on the couches and watching me especially a worker named John, but he didn’t come to the rescue. Instead, he had me sitting out in the rain looking desperate to get in! (B/c he was so tired) The person named James help me and he came to the rescue and unlock the rope. I’ll never go back!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would only go to the summer set directly access from Hilton they were so nice and welcoming there. They are so ghetto, trashy, and disgusting at this one. One hour I was standing outside In rain, they don’t care about you here! Please run far away from this one!!!

I visited the Escape house spa located on the ground floor of the hotel. The ambiance was so good. The service at the spa was excellent.

Great location in the heart of Maitama. The lounge was made available for an event for 40people. It was a bit tight but an overall nice experience. Food was tasty and fresh.

The food was nice and on time. It had a lot of privacy which was appreciated and the ambience was to die for. Most of the staff were really helpful and polite, HOWEVER a particular staff kept hitting on me Even when I told him off, Everytime he delivered a meal or service he would keep insisting I gave my number or we saw on the side and it used to take ages before he left.

My experience here was pleasant. It's biggest score is that it is central and accessible. The service was okay, the staff are polite and the amenities work. Land mass wise, it's not as big and spacious as other upscale hotels in the neighborhood, but it's neither as expensive. It gets by with a mid-sized swimming pool and just about enough parking spots. In terms of security, I did not get that sense of overwhelming presence; which one might consider to be a plus or minus. Overall, I'd use it another time if the situation warrants it.

When you know a hangout spot is good, is if it's child friendly. Great place to have fun with your family...

There are two Summerset Hotels off Usuma Street, Maitama, and easily mistaken for each other. This one is located at No. 73 Usuma Street and doesn’t have a rooftop, while the other is located at No. 34 Usuma Street and features a rooftop restaurant and cigar lounge. We love how cute and welcoming they both are. No. 73 has a lovely fountain at the entrance that ushers you in and a Grand Piano at the entrance, which you can play if you have the skill. The interior is neat with good furnishing and deco. There’s a restaurant at the ground floor and a swimming pool at the back (undergoing renovations during our visit). The parking space isn’t so big. I’m confused at the reviews people have left. Downstairs area is nice. The cleanliness of the rooms are a different observation I feel disgusted staying here. I never care to leave a review but I had to leave a review for this disgrace. Room smelled like pee, not one but many I went to check. ( using dirty rags or mops to clean), stains on my sheets, and ac was blowing hot air. I will never stay here again. Secondly the food service was a zero. First order they brought me food with bugs in the food and plate. Second time cold food, and incorrect food. Then I order honey glazed Ribs and received prob the nastiest ribs I have had in Nigeria. Also serves cold. After 2 and half hours later they finally wanted to make me something else I opted for the easiest thing spaghetti. Disgusting I couldn’t even eat it went to bed hungry. Tried again for breakfast they asked me if I wanted fluffy pancakes I said yes. Just for me to receive heavy flavorless pancakes. I’m tired hot and hungry. Thanks I’m never coming back

I dislike this simply because the path to the continental is slippery people may Fall and died.

Rooms are neat and clean. Check -in process are like a five star hotel. Food is good specially breakfast is awesome. Staff are friendly and welcoming nature.

Stayed here multiple times and I love my stays, almost feels like there’s not enough time to really explore each time. The Scandinavian style interior looks warm and cozy. The staff are also warm and very ready to help. Pool on the first floor and a rooftop view that’s amazing for sunset and sunrise watching. The food is decent and the neighborhood is good.

Home away from home Summer set is fantastic

A nice hotel with a great appeal to spend a holiday at. There is an easy entrance provision for handicapped persons both at the gate and the main entrance. The packing space isn't wide enough but just good enough for early birds.

I would start by saying that the hotel staff are quite dedicated and hardworking. However, the facilities need improvement. I stayed in this hotel in 2010 and enjoyed it. That's why I chose to revisit it in June 2021. Sadly, this time around I wasn't too impressed. The towels were too old and raggedy. Some of the bed linen smelt quite stale. Plus, there was a poolside club or something like that next to mu room whose music was too loud for me in the evenings. The WI-FI was very also unreliable. It was completely down the last night I stayed there. On the bright side, the food (especially chicken peppersoup) is quite good, but the presentation perhaps could be better.

Vacation was indeed fun fill with Summerset continental hotel.

Very important to note that there are 2 of this hotel on this same street. This is Summerset 1 the second one further down the street, so confirm which if you're visiting. Both have limited parking but good ambiance inside.

I go there for the barbeque cat fish, their sauce is nice and the strawberry smoothie too

Amazing hotel...every inch is an awesome wonder..

Call me a foodie, but since the first time I ate the Seafood Okra here, I have always gone back for more. Cozy rooms, nice ambiance, you get value for your money with no regrets. It's a 5/5 for me.

The place has great rooms and a serene internal ambience. It is sandwiched between a string of zenith banks and located opposite a chain of stores and a Kilimanjaro outlet. My thing is, the room I stayed in didn't have enough free sockets, and I'm hoping this is something that can be remedied if you ask for an extension box or so. In all essential regards though, it's a great hotel and definitely worth the price.
