My daughter booked parkcity for 3 nights but tried in vain to cancel 1 night due to flight changes. Parkcity would not answer her texts or emails or calls. Arriving there reception said it was policy not to make changes. The rooms were tiny. Smelled of damp and odours coming from the shower drains. The noise from traffic was horrific during the night as its right next to a busy main road. Anyone who books parkcity after reading this must be mad as its the worst place I have ever stayed in. Out of 10. -9. I think the tower of London would be a better option. In order to post this I had to give a star rating. It does not rate even 1 star.

My husband and my brother went to stay there. They have sent me photos of the room (see attached). Its horrendous. Don't even think about going there. Its unfit for humans and we will be contacting trading standards regarding the condition of the room. They would not even give one star for the hotel. The beds look like they have been through floods, the walls are dirty, the fire alarm has been blocked by a carrier bag and there is obvious signs of vandalism in the room. It should be shut down!!

One of the worst hotels Iā€™ve ever been to in England. Itā€™s all started when we arrived and realised that there is no car park and the area around is looking very poor and grim. When we came to the reception there was no one there, we tried to call the phone and no one replied, however, after some time the member of staff arrived and gave us the keys and explained that the parking is free anywhere outside. Surrounding cars had plastic trim removed and signs of being vandalisedā€¦ it is definitely unsafe to leave a nice car on the street. -Our room was at the 3rd floor and there was no lift to take our luggage upstairs. In the room for two we found only one cup, one towel and one small pack of gel shower, although there were two of us. No presence of promised iron as well. -Another drawback is that the shower handle was stuck at hot temperature and we struggled to turn it to cold. The shower cabin was extremely small as well. -The window view was to the park full of screaming kids who did not let us sleep later on, also the roof below us (can see on the picture) was full of cigarettes and we could smell weed. Later at night some people from the floor below started to smoke weed and that horrible smell kept us awake, of course we contacted the member of staff and he said that there was no one in the hotel even though we heard a TV and people talking at the floor below us. We were desperate to leave this place but unfortunately thereā€™re no options at midnight around this area. And we had not been offered to change our room. So I would never recommend anyone coming here, all or most of the positives reviews are fake.

Well where do we start stayed 2 nights bathroom was disgusting see pics, bed bugs in bed seen them on our second day lucky we where leaving that day only two hand towels and one of them looked horrible and discoloured no room service to clean room after our first night stay. Floor laminated and not clean, free WiFi advertised not Ā£5 per stay you have to pay, no TV remote in room bathroom mouldy and not clean plastic bottle behind the sink and very dusty there. Hardly seen the staff around the building during our stay sadly we won't be staying here again.

Booked for 1 night to attend a gig at the Etihad stadium. The hotel cancelled on us on arrival and were not going to offer another room. Spoke to manager who then suddenly had a room for us. There was no toilet roll or towels not even a bin in the room. Pictures on website are not the true look of this hotel. I'd personally class this has an hostel. Cobwebs all around the room, chewing gum stuck to the carpet and mould in the bathroom. Stunk of weed throughout the building Will not be returning especially the price they charge for a night.

Absolute disgrace of an hotel. But what can you really expect for Ā£25 a night. Dirty, quirky floors, beds not clean, blinds fell off in the middle of the night. We could not get out of there quick enough. Had to check in at EasyHotel instead, much nicer and not that much pricier. DO NOT GO unless you absolutely have to.

This is a totally newly refurbished hotel, every room now comes with newly built en-suite bathroom and all furnitures and interiors are brand new. The bed are very good quality, firm for a good night sleep and it comes with rain shower as standard with some units equipped with bath tub. I loved the bed and it is clean facing the huge park at the back.

I got scammed and lied to. Hotel took my money and locked up their doors before my arrival stating it is permanently closed since covid. I found out this was not the case by booking.com and that the hotel is functioning as normal. The hotel lied to me took my money and REFUSE TO REFUND me. I rang them up multiple times for 2 weeks straight and each time i was told a different story, extremely frustrating. They told me to ring booking.com so i did but booking.com told me that the hotel stated that i did not arrive which was false and the hotel denied when i questioned them about this even though i had proof of an email sent to me by the hotel saying the booking is cancelled (it was without my consent & i was still charged full price) still dont have a refund. AVOIDDDD!!! It was not an issue with booking.com stop lying again. Absolutely ridiculous. Pls be aware of this hotel guys! The price is not even worth it at all there are plenty of other options. Literally put me through a lot of stress and made me feel inhumane

I arrived and they misgendered me 3 times :( I identify as they/them and I'm a queer transgender non-binary straight leaning gay male.. the rooms were dirty and staff were rude and the bed sheets were moth eaten and as hard as cardboard. I felt like I was urban exploring an abandoned building.

Itā€™s awful, the manager is very very aggressive and the place is vile, filthy and stinks. Donā€™t spend your money here

If only I could give this place Zero stars. I don't know how it hasn't been shut down. The smell was disgusting. I've never seen carpet as filthy as that on the stairs. The walls were absolutely COVERED in mould and mildew. The shared bathroom had cracked and broken tiles, there was urine all over the toilet and nothing to wash or dry your hands with. The fire door didn't even close. It felt really unsafe, I kept most of my belongings in my car. Awful.

Frankly speaking, I'm not even sure why it's called a Hotel. So yeah I know I was not going into the most expensive and posh hotels, but really there was no standard here whatsoever at all that I even consider this a hotel. I've been to other 'budget' hotels in the past as all and never was the experience so bad. There was no bin in the room, or the washroom. The door to the washroom did not even close. The bed was super uncomfortable, with two different pillows altogether. There was no way to contact the reception but to go there physically. There was no remote for the TV. There was zero concept of room service, so I found my room as it is the way I had left it when I came back at night. I had to pay 5Ā£ extra for using WiFi (like wow). Definitely not coming back.

The room was small but cosy - it also was cheap so it's okay. It seemed clean and taken care of. The bathrooms were okay as well. Just really busy, as there were a lot of people. What really bothered me was that people who were also staying there seemed to never sleep. It was very noisy the whole night. The park behind the hotel seemed kinda shady so we left immediately. But it's really easy and quick to get to the city so that was a plus.

Turn up with my 5 children and was told that my room would be locked by staff when I went out. Before leaving I asked how I would go about opening it.. Was told the lock was broken and couldn't be locked! Unacceptable and should have had a temporary padlock or such like attached. No valuables left and we went to visit family. One Mattress beyond uncomfortable. Broken bed, see pic. Was given an extra duvet to go over the mattress. Trouble broke out at 1am, our door was continuously knocked by three burley men! Staff weren't any help and he locked himself in his room. Bad experience. The building is run down and needs attention. The only positives, bedding was clean and the floor in our room was clean and clean hand towels provided. Our door locked once in our room, thank goodness with the inconsiderate men shouting about their missing mobile phone. Didn't sleep much on our last night at all. Wouldn't recommend until it's had a shake up. The building has a lot of potential but a lot of extra maintenance and staff training needed. 3 stars!, I would give it 1 star at most. No black out blinds or curtains and outside light shone brighter than daylight, thank goodness for an eye mask. Beautiful woodland park near by, stay near in a different hotel and well worth a visit :-) I don't agree with hate but two stars would be too many. Please read reviews before staying.

Staff are proper friendly, chilled and always up for a chat. Was made to feel very welcome and relaxed. Quite limited facilities but provided all the basics and the beds were perfectly comfortable and rooms small but clean. Not too far out that it was a problem to get in and out of town, a short taxi or tram away. Perfect for a place to crash for the weekend if you're out and about in Manchester as the prices are decent! Would stay here again, thanks!

Absolutely poor customer service, cancelled our booking to accommodate another when we were 30 mins away from Manchester then blamed booking.com when we could see the booking was still valid on our app, leaving us all so anxious being young women! Itā€™s so unacceptable and the gentleman was very rude! Be careful booking here if you are travelling far.

AVOID this hotel, absolutely the worse service ever. Receptionist not professional at ALL. I asked for his role he said he was a receptionist and then i asked for a manager because i was lied to that the hotel is closed but payment still went through. He then said he doesnā€™t know who owns the hotel and who the manger was and after arguing for 10mins he said he is the manager of the hotel. Never in my life have i been treated like this. SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE and the place really stank of sweat and weed. Best part of it was to leave!

When arriving I rang the bell and no one came to the door. When I got the number off of this website and rang it they let me in! When walking through to the check in desk there was things under the stairs and looked cluttered. The hall ways walking to the rooms was well presented but itā€™s a shame the room didnā€™t look the same. It was small, bits of paint coming off the walls, tiles on the bath room floor was coming up, outside looked run down and not looked after, my car was left parked round the back near the park (which it states there is parking). The pictures on the website look nothing like the rooms when you get there. Even though the price was reasonable I expected a lot better than what it was!

Excellent customer service, very helpful and polite staff. Would've felt more comfortable with a higher standard of cleaning and better maintenance as there were signs of damp in spite of what appeared to be a recent redecoration. The room unfortunately overlooked the rear of the building which was littered with cigarette butts and fast food packaging.
