So far I’ve managed to live my life with no major parking problems, be it NCP or any other provider. Well this was until I one day decided to use this car park. We got fined after PAYING FOR PARKING and when we appealed they told us we paid for another parking which is basically the side of their car park. Was the appeal accepted? Nope. Still made us pay the fine, so they raked in the parking fee we paid for something we didn’t use and the fine for this one. Their appeals team is a disgrace as it is, starting with the fact that you can’t call them, they only respond to emails. Then after providing evidence of paying for parking they reject your appeal. Disgusting, the worst experience I’ve ever had with a “service provider “ (not much service putting some yellow cordoning up and a camera only to check number plates and nothing else). I know this review won’t do the company any damage, but at least I can warn people of the dangers of parking here. Please read the numbers when paying as one of the meters is for the cordoned parking and the other is for the street. Don’t get caught on this (intentional) technicality.

I Parked under the trees shown in the photo and paid at the payment machine in the picture, apparently this isn't for this car park and am now being chased for a £100 fine. Please don't be ripped off by this scam as I and numerous other reviewers have been. The car park is also full of potholes and is a disgrace to NCP. Shame on them!

Parking in Manchester is always expensive. A couple of options in the area. This open NCP one is ok. Gets full quickly at busy times. Pay on the NCP app to make things a little easier, though this car park does not support their number recognition option so make sure you start a session manually within the app.

This'll give the flat earthers a heart attack, could have been an off-road experience, For the price you pay to park it should be flatter than an Olympic bowling green, nothing a few tons of self leveler wouldn't solve , it's a convenient place to park in an interesting part of Manchester close to canal Street,

Absolutely horrible experience! I parked my car, immediately paid at the machine that was situated 2 meters from my car(!!!) and displayed the ticket. Now I have received a fine as apparently I paid at SIP machine not NCP. How is that even possible that SIP (different parking company) has a machine inside of NCP parking? Simply to mislead and scam the customer. I tried to appeal this fine, of course as many people before in these reviews, I too have been unsuccessful. I feel so mistreated and a victim of a scam. I will notify the Manchester City council of this horrible practice. Shame NCP.

It's a Scam car park! If I could I would put 0 stars.Parked, paid at machine and in few weeks received Parking Charge Notice, appealed with NCP and they rejected my appeal taking in consideration I have Saved Ticket, appealed with POPLA and again it was unsuccessful! The reason is: that on the NCP CAR Park is different company payment machinery situated!!! All car park has fence and on inside of this car park you pay for different car park and after on top 100£ fee from NCP! Brilliant 👏

I would AVOID this car park. As mentioned in many other reviews there are misleading parking signs in the corner of this car park and it isn't a safe place to leave your car. I parked here for two days and paid via the sign that says pay here. I was therefore shocked to receive a £100.00 parking fine weeks later, luckily I had screen shots of the payment board next to my car and also the payment receipt. I sent this to NCP and they replied with 'this is SIPS and not our sign' . I have argued with them as the SIPS parking sign shouldn't be in their car park. Obviously their reply. 'not interested pay' in a nutshell. Park elsewhere as people have mentioned cars getting broke into here too.

Beware you only have 5 mins to get a ticket or you'll receive a fine in the post.

Very small spaces and tight corners to get around it - don't park a long car or a wide car. Even though the park was convenient to where I wanted to be, it wasn't convenient to get into to or to use. I won't use it again

Awful management. Paid for parking and was well within the time purchased when I left, but still got a parking ticket. Notice was sent a month later after I had recycled my paid stump so I can't prove it and now have to pay. Avoid this car park

Although the parking is already expensive here (£7.95 for overnight parking at 1830, but under £5 for 1 hour at the same time - NO 2 Hour option), it turns out that this car park is even worse value when - as I already knew - the Chinatown Manchester City Council Car Park (ex NCP) just 1 minute away on Faulkner St, costs just £5.70 for 2 hours (the time I would be staying for). Positive aspects of this car park (there are few) is the relatively large number of spaces, and the convenient location for The Gay Village & The National Express Coach Station across the road.

Stay away, they're is no signage to state if you pay first or pay when you leave. If you are late then that's a fine and they're is no way yo pay for the time missed. There is no clear signage to state that anpr cameras are in use, so use that to your advantage

Penalty parking scam. I received two parking notices even though I've paid and left before the time was up. Do not recommend. Will not use ever again.

Be aware of car park payment at this car park as there is a separated car park called SPI right next to it. Don't pay at the wrong machine.

Avoid to park at this carpark/NCP. Paid by NCP app for evening rate £8.95 but somehow they charged me £27.95 (charged hourly). Sent a refund form for more than a week but no reply. Contacted through online web chat, no response. Shame! (I wish I can give zero star)

Misleading signage and multiple meters not for this car park. Parking fine, wont be paying. Predatory of behalf of NCP and SiP.

It is a SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! TRAP for PENALTY CHARGE!! DAYLIGHT ROBBERY!!!DON'T PARK there!! I tried all payment methods posted on the signage, but none of it can process with the payment, as such I decided to leave for other carparks, after they send me a fine for 100pounds just for the time I stayed for attempts of payment! and declined my appeal!

I parked here for the first time as a newcomer to Manchester, AND WHAT A MASSIVE MISTAKE that was. The signage was extremely confusing, and I was lead to understand that I could pay as I left, I sat and checked the FAQ on the NCP website and it assured me that I could pay when I left by paying into the future for the number of hours you stayed. I did that and got a £100 fine. Very predatory, they always reject appeals, won't park there again.

NCP has done it again, not only is parking enormously overpriced but, in Manchester, where the only way to pay is by app, the NCP app doesn't work with up to date android phones! Well done! Congratulations. NCP have been a woeful, greedy company my whole adult life , I'm glad to see NCP are sticking to it's commitment to give its customers the worst possible experience for the most amount of money possible. Also, just a little aside, as you're probably aware, the NCP app on Google play has received 1.3 stars... thats very difficult to do, real effort has to be expended in order to achieve that. Well done. NCP must be very proud.

Awful experience, payment machine out of service, downloaded the NCP app but it wouldn't accept any of my debit cards, so gave up after 20 minutes. I can't log in using my desktop browser, tried doing a password reset, but no emails have been received. I'm now on hold to NCP customer service, only been 15 minutes so far. Given the size of the company you would expect they would be able to get their technology sorted.

Very handy but the NCP paying app needs to be more user friendly and especially when paying for multiple cars!... took 30 mins to down load and sort out.... and we had to help other customers out because they too were finding it difficult

It's not a pleasant place to park your car and is extremely expensive.

A secured car park located at the heart of Manchester City. Its a walking distance to the coach station (national express) and also a close proximity to the Polish consulate in Manchester.

Maybe not a beautiful place. But nearly constantly there's a spot to leave the car.

Full of nails, potholes and crackheads & homeless. Ridiculously expensive and no security. In the middle of several bars so not a good place to leave ur car when things get messy. Staff at NCP are amazing tho

This is a SCAM car park. There are ticket machines in this car park, that are not applicable for this car park. There are two car parks in the same lot. Both are operated by NCP. If you pay at the wrong machine, you will be fined. I parked, diligently paid (the machine says NCP on it), and then got a £100 fine. Appealed (still had my receipt and evidence). Rejected. It's a total scam.

The payment method is unclear and can easily be misled. Please be careful.Heavy loss of money😭
