We almost didn't come here because, who eats Mediterranean food in New Orleans? But the reviews sold it to us and boy am I glad we did. Their Kufta, the reason why you should go there, is one of its kind and just incredible. Their silky smooth Hummus works with everything. I had the Shakshouka which got the tomatoes part right, but the eggs were overcooked and solid on the inside, when they should have been runny. Otherwise, the fried cheese was so good, the hummus and feta was so good too, and GOD the home baked pita bread was just perfect. Great service considering it was only one server running the whole deal from pickups, serving tables and running the cash register. I must say the Mango juice tasted artificial, like it came from a box or a mix. Not fresh so steer away from that. The ice tea was meh too compared to most other restaurants in town, especially the way they sweetened it. That said, we had a hearty yet healthy brunch and were glad this was our last meal in New Orleans!

Best Mediterranean food in all of Louisiana. Fresh, tasty flavourful, it can be spicy and it can be savory. Stop here when you visit Louisiana its on Carondelet.

Homemade hummus! And that is just the beginning of our beautiful experience. The lamb kabob was tender and full of flavor ( not gamey at all). I asked for feta on my fries and even though this is not the norm for this particular place, they were very accommodating. The owner was sweet, pleasant, and philosophical. I actually learned something that I will take with me always on my life journey. To say this was" just another Mediterranean restaurant" would be a disservice to society. I love this restaurant for the food and the love. (Written by James wife)

Great hidden gem. Everything was delicious. Huge portions for a great price. Was so much food couldn't finish everything even though I did my best to try because everything was so good. Highly recommend. Great vegetarian selection.

Olive is a great place for vegetarians like me. They have a tasty variety for meatless meals and also a relaxed comforting dinning area. Nothing super fancy but very grounded and I really enjoyed my dinner here. Sadly there is no Wi-Fi for customers. Maybe that comes next but thanks for the nice Vegetarian Platter.

Absolutely delicious! I had the Greek Salad and Hummus with Peppers for lunch, it was so tasty, the vinaigrette was amazing, and the hummus was just perfect. Staff were nice and friendly. I visited during a week day and parking wasn’t difficult to find. 10/10⭐️

Officially my new middle eastern eats spot. This was first time I came by here that I was able to get a seat. Last two times the place was packed. Ordered gyro plate. There is a broad choice of 2 sides to choose from, that come with this plate. I chose the hummus and salad. Fresh food and perfectly seasoned. It was delicious! Hami waited on me and spoke we had a nice chat as well. It is truly appreciated when the service is so warm and welcoming. I love the wall with pictures and booth seating. Everything in the restaurant was clean including the bathroom ! Want to try Shwarma next time !

Plenty of vegetarian options and everything was super fresh. You won't be disappointed if you enjoy Mediterranean & Lebanese food 😋 We had the hummus, veggie grape leaves, salad, and lamb & chicken kababs. The restaurant was slammed with customers and the manager and kitchen staff did an amazing job keeping up how many people were coming through the door. Extremely reasonably priced! This is one of the best things you can do for your body fter a weekend on Bourbon St.

Had an amazing lamb burger along with another amazing chicken and lamb dish that included an eggplant infused side. The bread was super fresh. Also had traditional middle eastern tea that included rose water. The owner operators have great rapport with customers and are a pleasure to talk to. I highly recommend this convenient restaurant.

I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant! From the delicious food to the amazing service- this place deserves a 15 star rating. Absolutely delicious, fresh, homemade Mediterranean food that is made with so much passion it makes the food taste even better than can be be described. Not to mention, Rafael and his partner are the most caring, passionate owners my husband and I have met. They genuinely care about each customer and have so much pride and passion in their restaurant you can taste the passion in their food. Cannot recommend highly enough- I will absolutely tell everyone I know to visit when coming to NOLA! We will absolutely be back!

We came here twice for dinner during our stay in New Orleans! We needed something fresh from our Cajun food fixes and this hit the spot. Great pricing for lots of food. Our server, Hanni, was very kind, helpful and the service was fairly quick. You can dine-in or take out. 10/10 recommend if you need some greens and delicious Middle Eastern food 👌🏼👌🏼

First of all….. the owner (I assumed he was) was such a nice man with us, really polite and friendly. The food really good, we loved all we ordered, had no issues at all, as a vegetarian has variety of options and have outside tables too. Sadly was our last night at NOLA but totally without a doubt would come here again. Worth it 100%.

Ok... Here's the deal. Cancel your current dinner plans and come here. You will have one of THE BEST Mediterranean food dishes that you have/have not ever tried. I chose to have the chicken shawarma plate. There was so much flavor in everything. And as wife states "the smoothest hummus" she's ever eaten. Establishment is very clean and simple with very friendly staff. Food came out pretty quick and hot. This place deserves your business

My family is of Middle Eastern decent. I've tried Middle Eastern food in many different countries but this shakshuka was probably the best. Hummus was good too. Vegetables were super fresh! The price for such a huge meal was extremely good as well (best bang for your buck in New Orleans for sure!). If you like Middle Eastern cuisine, stop looking, this is THE place.

This mediterranean restaurant is a gem in nola. I never thought I'd go to New Orleans and get mediterranean food, but this restaurant has great reviews and they are all justified! The owner is also the server and he's very nice. The food is just delicious! Very recommended. I came back twice during our short visit which says a lot.

Pretty good food. Likes the hummus the salad and the chicken and kafta kabob. Oddly they don’t serve their meals with rice which I was not expecting as rice is pretty standard with Middle Eastern dishes and the guys running the place seemed Middle Eastern. Overall good food, good prices and good service considering how busy they were. Just order rice on the side if you do come here.

The food was really, really good. The biryani rice and vegetables were so light and flavorful, the Tabouleh salad was absolutely tasty and thank you for having veggie grape leaves. The food did not beat the incredible service. Hands down a wonderful experience!

Had a decent meal here. The prices are very good. The gyro plate was very good and the meat for it was perfect. What really took the night however was the baclava. This place was good but I wouldn’t say it was mind blowing.

Wonderful food. We ordered Chicken kufta, Falafel and Baklava. The chicken was juicy and delicious. The vegetables in the salad were crisp and fresh. Falafel was exceptional. Baklava was taste wise okay, but a little hard and slightly burnt on the edges.

We stopped in for a healthy option in New Orleans and we’re so happy with our meal! We shared the chicken shawarma plate that came with hummus, pita and a fresh salad. We added a side of rice. It was the perfect amount to share for lunch and our bellies feel great! The service was great and attentive. Good clean atmosphere and clean bathroom. We’ll probably be back when we want something fresh and delicious. Also enjoyed the remix music that was playing :D

Olive is a fantastic Mediterranean/Lebanese Restaurant located in New Orlean’s Central Business District. During lunchtime, I got the half Chicken/half Beef Kebab Plate which included Hummus, Pita, and Salad. I also got a side of rice. Everything was spectacular from the high quality and delicious food to the quick and attentive service. I highly recommend! Food 5/5 Customer Service 5/5

Seeking the best Lebanese / Mediterranean food in Nola?! THIS. IS. IT!!! Exceptional service; like lightning. Food; incredible, crisp, fresh, and truly marvelous. The seared lean meats are grilled perfection, hummus, and olive oils luxurious, with prices so affordable you will over tip the servers and order lunch for tomorrow.

This restaurant blew my expectations out of the water! So fresh and with delicious depth of flavor. The raw veggies were crisp, the hummus wasn’t overly citrus and was creamy, the bread was perfect. I wish I could eat the Greek salad every day for the rest of my life! The server was fantastic - patient, helpful & great sense of humor! We even got some baklava to go. I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re visiting! They don’t serve alcohol though x( meal could’ve been complete with a glass of red wine. So instead we walked to W.I.N.O for some wine samplings after dinner! Also highly recommend, Lol.

Small place. Server was running dining room single-handedly. Was affable, but could not give correct service due to volume of guests eating in dining room. Food was very flavorful and healthy. No free refills on hot tea. Decor was sparse, leading to a cold feeling.

A great vegetarian meal! The hummus was wonderfully creamy and the zater bread was spiced and oiled to perfection. Would definitely recommend for anyone who is vegetarian or vegan. Their meat options also looked tasty. The staff was very friendly and helpful!

Olive has the best Mediterranean food I've had. Everything made from scratch with fresh ingredients. They also have the best hummus. The rating still doesn't do it justice. You cannot go wrong here. This time I got the shakshuka. The desserts are also light and insanely delicious! Olive is a must-visit in New Orleans!

If I could give this place ze when stars I would solely because of the service . I ordered a sweet tea and didn’t like it so I ordered a sprite instead when our food arrived . The waiter had a long talk with the table next to us but I was thirsty and simply gestured to him that I needed him when he was done . He looked at me almost annoyed still standing in front of the other table and said “what do you need “ and I answered “uh just some tzatziki sauce oh and that sprite “ he answered “okay and you want me to stop talking to my table to go get you a sprite or something ?” And I instantly started crying . Had a terrible day at work , my mom and I were the only black customers . It was total silence as he confronted us or whatever he called himself doing . I mean I balled . I just felt so embarrassed and typically whenever I’ve gestured I need a server they tell me “one minute I’ll be right with you “ I worked as a server and did this all the time I was never so rude . The service was horrible and when I asked him why he was so rude cause I served before and he didn’t have to try and make it seem like I was an aggressor as a black woman he said “I’m the owner and now I’m a racist ? Because you’re black ? Shame on you “ and I told him “no shame on you for treating women like that in general “ . Also , the food was subpar for the service to be so bad . I asked for the sprite and got a sprite back with seasoning in it lol literally had black specks in it so I remained thirsty and I asked for my lamb chops to be well done and then were bleeding . Still tipped because maybe he was overwhelmed from a busy day idk ? But I was too and I’m the paying customer . It was very unprovoked and we felt singled out . The owner is now lying and saying it was me who was rude I didn’t shout for my drink or even speak in a derogatory tone or come off aggressive but because I am a black woman ofcourse I am racial profiled as aggressive. He is lying and saying I yelled when in all actuality he look over at me infront of the other table , rolled his eyes and asked what I need so that I said it out loud and still did not say it loud and he made me repeat myself then corrected my prenunciation . I wasn’t asking for just a drink I was asking for sauce . We are female doctors and don’t tolerate this kind of mistreatment from men , especially not a server . I used to serve myself . If a customer gestures that they need me and I’m busy I say “one moment and I’ll be right with you” . He even answered rudely “DO YOU WANT ME TO STOP WHAT IM DOING TO GET YOU YOUR SPRITE OR SOMETHING ??” He yelled at me and I instantly started crying because I’ve never been so demeaned . I had no other way of viewing it besides blatant prejudice as we live in the south where we are mistreated very often by all ethnic groups . This place is no place for black people who don’t want to be projected onto . I will tell everyone I know in the city
