universal continues to not Mandate people wearing masks and people that are friends with the owners act like they don’t have to follow the rules, because they were told they don’t have too! Groups of 15-20 people playing basketball without masks on and the owner says nothing and just turns a blind eye to it. Not an establishment that should even be operating anymore because they do not follow Covid guidelines. Barely any members wipe down machines.

I have been going to this gym for over a year, and although they employee some great people (Asher, Thomas, Stacy, John... just to name a few) they are very money hungry and do not care about you as a member. I chose to pay extra for the boxing program, which really bothered me because of how expensive the base price was already for the gym. But I enjoyed it that much, that I was willing to pay an extra $40 a month for it. Throughout the year, there have been many ups and downs with the program, including a lot of turnover with trainers. Myself and about 15 others have stuck through all of it and continued to pay our monthly fee, even when we had coaches quit in the middle of classes, or had coaches that just plain were not good coaches. Now the gym decided to take away unlimited boxing, and offer 2 days of week circuit training for the same price! And if we want to do any more, they want us to pay more. I understand this is a business, but they (Sheldon, and the other decision makers) never even had the decency to come to the long- term members who have been with the program, to ask for our opinions, to inform us, to explain it to us, or to even ask if we were willing to do it. This tells me: THEY JUST DON'T CARE. They sent an evasive email acting as if we would be getting a deal of a lifetime, going from unlimited boxing down to two days a week. Very disappointing. I hope they learn that treating their members like this will only leave a very bad taste in their mouths. UFC gym... here I Come! 🥊

They’re actively putting their customers in danger and blatantly breaking the law. Take your business elsewhere.

Went to the gym three days last week two days this week People Walking in the gym without masks on and I counted 30 people not wearing any masks at all and groups of 15 to 20 people playing basketball Honestly I’m disgusted by the lack of management and people not taking the action to prevent COVID-19 from spreading You could care less about your members and more about the money in your pockets

Front desk does not relate to working out. Seems like guests are more interested in socializing. Complained to front desk about person coughing every 5 seconds while working out, another time while someone more interested in playing music from her phone, forcing me to listen while working out, NOTHING DONE!

Who's watching the kids in the warm pool. I cant believe staff allow parents to drop off their young kids in the therapy pool and they misbehave, throw things and jump over top of you when you are trying to exercise. Lifeguards dont correct the issue.

I would never consider leaving my kids in the hands of their staff in the kid zone. I took my daughter and stayed with her to watch and play with her. But other parents left their children their so they could use the gym and other facilities available. The staff responsible for those children are severely inadequate. They weren't paying any attention to them. More than once I had to keep a close eye on kids playing near mine as they were getting into things and climbing in things that children who could barely walk had no business climbing on. There is no way I would considering trusting my kids to their staff

I wanted to join a gym and called this place to see what they had to offer and what their prices were. The person on the phone told me someone would call me back. That was 4 days ago. I guess they aren't interested in getting new members. I called two other gyms in the area and they immediately told me their prices, offered me a tour, and gave me a guest pass. It's a shame they don't have the same level of customer service as other gyms in the area.

12/10/2019 I have really bad experience with their billing system. I froze my membership and their system reactived my account automatically after 6 months without notifying me and automatically charged all members under my account without giving me a notice in advance. I didn’t receive any receipt prior or after the charge. I won’t realize I am being charged unless I check my credit card activity. Universal athletic club refused to refund me the charges by saying that I should be responsible for that as an adult and that it was not their policy to notify me the frozen period was ending and auto charge started. I was so disappointed that a community service provider took their advantage of having the so-called “policy” to play the “cheating games”. Also, I called to terminate my membership on the bill date. The bill was charged that date without refunding. The billing office won’t help customer to get their refund. I have to rely on credit card company to help me to refund the unfair charges. 12/12/2019 Response to the owner’s reply: Again, I didn’t receive any email notifying me the end of frozen period while kept receiving ads from Universal athletic club. The auto email sending system might not work as what you expected, or I might be actually left out from that system. I just don’t want to pay a penny if it is an unfair charge. Also, I didn’t intend to have the service that’s why I froze the membership. The reason I chose to froze the membership was because there was a $150 termination fee and a large fee to rejoin the membership. I am at such a huge disadvantage. I could not find another business like Universal athletic club that designs the business in such a clever way that retain some customers not with its good service but with its “money power”. The 6-month frozen period itself is an unfair structure as well that it only benefits the business owner, but hurts the customer.

Universal is the most expensive gym in Lancaster (was quoted $180 a month (with two of those 12 months at $270), plus a $300 enrollment fee for two adults and a one and a half year old. I would have potentially considered paying for a more high end service but as I asked questions, the salesman was so rude and that surprises me coming from a company that prides themselves on “caring for their customer”. All that to say, for how much they are charging, their customer service and equipment does not match up with their pricing.

I want to start off by saying that this review is only a perspective in an opinion from one person. I give it to stars because overall the gym is amazing. It’s very spacious. It has lots of room even when it’s packed there’s still enough equipment and machines to get your workout done. Everyone here is really nice right off the bat. very informative, however, when it gets to refunding and payments, they tend to leave some important information out. I don’t know if it’s on purpose or anything but it’s very frustrating especially with how expensive universal is. Basically I got to the point where the membership that I had was a bit too much $ for me and I lowered it down to the $50 biweekly. Money started to get tight for me so I decided to go to a different gym. It’s $150 to buy out of your membership at uv within a year but they have the option to freeze your account. They told me that I can freeze it for six months and in six months I can see if I wanna work out here again I figured that’s great. It gives me time to work out somewhere a bit cheaper and still not spend $150 to buy out of a place that I really do enjoy. when I froze my account they were still charging me for two weeks after. When I called and mentioned this, he threaten to hang up on me because apparently I was swearing at him… in reality, the only swear word I said was universal is very “fucking” expensive, which it is and I wasn’t yelling at him at all. Like at all. Anyways, eventually, I got the call saying my refund is on its way, and they finally officially froze my account. They failed to mention to me that there’s a five dollar freeze fee. I’m guessing every week or something.. I figured oh my gosh why would they leave that out after everything that I mentioned why would they leave that out? It just seems very money money hungry to me rather than actually trying to help me complete my goals. I’m glad I tried it and realized all of this, but I do regret ever spending money here. Crunch is amazing. Training and classes for 30$ a month rather than 120$ BI weekly.

Major pros- Nice facility, pool, multiple classes included, kids gymnasium, smoothie and food bar, friendly staff, and location (for me). The cons- The gym equipment is okay but a bit outdated. But the biggest con is the PRICE. It is more than double that of Spooky Nook. For me and my daughter it would cost over $140/ month at Universal :-o Not to mention a $200 enrollment fee! (lot of money just to add my information in the system). I read another review complaining about the price. And the counter was that the membership offers a lot of perks. Its true the membership does offer a lot. But for me personally, I go to the gym for the free weights, machines, and for my child to to be in the daycare facility. I don't need or want spin classes, yoga , or any type of other fitness training. Universal should charge a lower price. Then if you want to add classes and other perks, then you could pay extra. Think its wrong to charge one large price for things I'll never want to use. Just my opinion.

I have worked at this gym, And Went here for 4 years. I have never seen a gym have such good customer retention. Rick who is the owner is Absolutely the best. Management is on point. People spend sometimes up to 4 hours here, Which in The gym business is unheard of. They could bump up their membership prices , And I would still go!!! And for the post Down Below slamming the kid Zone, Obviously haven't been to many gyms. I have been to every big and small name brand gyms over the last 14 years. Me my wife have 3 beautiful children who absolutely beg to go to the kids club Because of the great staff and kid area there. Universal athletic club kid zone is the best I have ever heard of or been to myself.

I joined Universal athletic club about four months ago and I have not looked back. After struggling with a lack of motivation athletic wise I jumped between planet fitness formula and crunch but still never managed to find motivation to keep going. When I moved to the area awhile ago, my friends have been going to Universal but I just never really wanted to join because of the cost. After joining I will say that I regret not sure any sooner because for the cost you get so much more at this gym then I found it any other gym in the whole US to be honest. When I first came I was greeted by the very friendly staff and was actually given a 20 minute tour in depth, which I thought was phenomenal. I chose to sign up for the upgraded membership which actually allows me to bring a guest every single day for free as well as towel service and use of the Hydro massage beds. The gym has two saunas a eucalyptus steam room as well as a studio for almost anything you could think of exercise wise. This place is insanely huge. One of the coolest parts about this gym is the hydraulic machines which is pretty cool tech. I also find it sick that I can get a whole milkshake or a smoothie and sandwich made at the gym right after my workout. So far I’ve lost about 7 pounds which is 12% of my goal but that is much more progress that I’ve made in the last multiple years so I hope to continue to come here and work out with my friends to lose weight. If you want to join a gym with a great environment with friendly smiling staff, I think you should check this place out it’s pretty cool. 😎

As a gym it's nice and most people are kind. But in my first couple months trying out classes an instructor was very unkind to me. I went to CORE and afterwards she said "looking at your body this might not be the class for you. Maybe try bodypump 3xs a week." 🧐🤔 Sorry but that was rude considering I'm 5'3 160lbs and just had a baby. I was extremely discouraged and having been back to that class since.

It is getting more and more over-crowded all the time. The parking lot has been expanded to accommodate more members and another open house/membership drive is under way. The ladies locker rooms are not adequate in size and a good number of the lockers are rented leaving even fewer lockers available for those who don't choose to pay a monthly fee to have one. As far as clubs go it's no better than any of the others.

Having belonged to numerous gyms over the last decade or so, Universal is by far the best (in almost every way). Pros: - It's cheaper than other gyms (for most people this is the most important) - It's kept insanely well clean (you'd think the place had just been built) - The machines and weights are regularly upgraded to the newer models (they do keep a few of the older models around for the older customers who can't quite figure new tech) - The staff/workers are very polite and friendly - The trainers and classes are amazing (you'll actually want to take them) - If you wish to leave them gym it's as simple as telling them you want your membership cancelled, then it's done with (not like most gyms that literally won't let you leave/quit due to a "legal agreement". - The pool is perfect for both avid swimmers and families just wishing to relax (swimming lanes and a "free to do what you want" area. - If you have kids (I don't but I take care of my friends kids while she's at work sometimes) Universal has an area just for kids as well as programs and exercise lessons (Plus they do birthday parties) - The Locker rooms/sauna/showers are really nice and aesthetically pleasing Cons: - The locker rooms are bit too small for the number of members they have - The parking lot is way to small for the number of members (if you go in the morning 8-12am or around dinner time 5-8pm, chances are you'll have to park on the grass or a nearby parking lot)

I recently found out that this gym is ending their contract with silver sneakers which provides free gym memberships to the elderly & people with disabilities who are on Medicare. People who have Medicare are living off of meager monthly payments from social security. They pay for their health insurance. On top of that they’re penalized if we save money. They’re forced to pay out of pocket for vision, dental & hearing aid services as coverage sucks for that. They also have to pay for prescriptions. They have to pay a copay for procedures, hospital stays & doctor visits. This gym is offering a “reduced rate” of $50 a month for people currently on silver sneakers. To think that people living off of social security payments have an extra $50 a month to go to a gym is mind blowing & insulting. This gym is beyond greedy. With the rise in food & housing prices & inflation having people choosing between food & rent even more than ever it’s a sin to expect people to pay for a service that was free because your gym isn’t making enough money by your CEO’s standards. Apparently being the most expensive gym in this area still isn’t enough for some people. Basically their CEO decided he wanted a second yacht so we have to pay for it. I will NOT be going here again.

Realized that i was tricked by one year contract when trying to terminate the membership. I was told that i could cancel membership anytime but didn’t tell me there would be termination fees. Nobody would want to simply terminate the membership since there was a huge amount of $ for one time initial payment. But it’s worth terminating coz the fees are more than monthly membership fees.

I love going to Universal. I've truly benefited from their thrive program. Kelly and Michael are the best at keeping you accountable and motivated. I've also worked with their nutritionist and not only lost an incredible amount of body fat, I walked away with a true understanding of nutrition when it comes to MY body. There are other gyms in the area, but nothing can compare to the environment and benefits provided at universal. My Dad has even began to go(silver sneakers). He went from being sedentary to going five times a week and mentally and physically showing how good the programs have been treating him. There is never pressure to upgrade(although the upgrades to membership are too tier). Membership services are so accommodating and the from the desk crew are so sweet. I also recommend looking into the myzone belts they sale. Such a great motivator!

After two decades as a gym member, UAC stands out as the best. Despite the initial distance, I now willingly drive the extra miles because UAC prioritizes its members like no other gym. What sets UAC apart is its super capable and friendly staff, creating a community atmosphere. The upgraded equipment reflects their commitment to staying ahead in the fitness industry. Notably, UAC excels in maintaining a pristine environment, underlining their dedication to member health and safety. In essence, UAC goes beyond being just a gym; it's a haven for fitness enthusiasts, offering a welcoming community, top-notch equipment, and an unwavering commitment to cleanliness. The decision to travel the extra distance has proven to be more than worthwhile, as UAC consistently exceeds my expectations as a member.

There are so many options for working out that I think anyone would find what they're looking for. The pool is great. I love the Kidz Klub. My toddler has a lot of fun playing there with other kids while I exercise, and the staff are great. There are a lot of free group classes if that's something that interests you. The smoothies in the cafe are great.

I live right next-door to Universal fitness. I would love to be a member, but they have priced themselves out of the reasonably priced health club market. Many of their existing members are grandfathered into their old monthly prices - my neighbor pays less than $30 every 2 weeks - ,whereas any new prospective members are presented with a membership cost structure nearly twice that. So disappointing. I am shocked that they are able to sell memberships at $52 billed every 14 days. Ouch. If they ever want to revisit their cost structure, I would be interested. By the way, everyone has been so nice, but they were not forthcoming on the huge disparity between the new membership costs and those of the existing members.

Well worth the money, there is something for everyone at Universal. If you have a goal, they will help you achieve it. If you don't know the way to achieve your goal, they will show you the way, you just have to work for it. It is your workout, they will help you make the most of it.

My partner and I signed up right at the start of the year and have been enjoying membership at UAC. The group classes are great, and my partner really enjoyed his twice a week Thrive class. All of the staff were friendly and lovely, and make an effort to remember your name and greet you. We found out this month that we would be moving cross country due to a job change. When we initially mentioned having to cancel, we were told that the $150 cancellation fee would be waived as we are moving out of state. However, when we actually called to cancel, we were told no, and that they would be charging the fee after all. It’s not the end of the world, but it’s frustrating to be hearing different things from staff. It just leaves a bit of a sour taste in my mouth to end the membership like this.

PROS: Great facility with everything you could possibly need. The amount of squat racks and free weights is amazing. They have so many rooms for you to use, to include studios. I never used any of the trainers but there are all types available. I preferred this gym over all the others because of the facility. They do military discounts too! If you're a family looking for a long term gym, it's great! CONS: the buyout fee. I'm moving and there's no logical reason for me to keep my membership anymore. I went to cancel and they told me I was in a year binding membership and could either continue to pay till my contract was up, or pay a buyout fee of $150. Nothing I can do about it, just wished I'd read it more carefully. LA fitness lets you cancel on the spot, in less five min and no fee. Parking gets really crazy around 6pm everyday and weekends. I've had to drive around the lot multiple times to find a parking spot relatively close. When it rains, the facility gets super humid and the ceiling starts to leak. I've had water drip on me while working out on the main floor and the speed training room. If you're someone who works out on their own and doesn't do much else at the gym, then it's maybe better to get a membership somewhere else. The facility is nice and has lots of amenities but I use the machines, lift, run and then I leave. Never really used anything outside of the main floor and the speed room. If you're simple and busy, this gym is a little expensive.

My experience with Universal was a great one. The ONLY con of this gym is that it can be on the expensive side. However, the price is well worth it if you actually go to the gym every day. [What do I get?] Universal Athletic Center (UAC) offers a large number of classes with your membership. It also offers a large number of exercise machines, freeweights and slightly more exotic equipment (sleds, punching bags, medicine balls, ropes, etc.) However, there is no strongman equipment as of this review. There is also a registered dietician on site as well as a salon and a nice food bar. The hydro massage units cost extra to use, but are extremely nice to have. [How is the staff?] In my experience, the staff at Universal is it's strongest selling point. Alison and Beth were great to me as were the rest of the staff. I was able to change memberships when I needed to and they were great about me cancelling when I had to move out of the area. [Is the gym worth it?] I would say that UAC is 100% worth it. The gym is huge, the classes are great and the equipment is well maintained and seems quite clean. The only con is that the gym can be expensive and charges biweekly. If you use the gym then this is definitely worth it. If you want something to help convince you go to the gym then this will be a great excuse for you. I miss UAC and haven't really seen too many other gyms that offer as much as it does. I highly recommend UAC.

Terrible customer service experience. They are very helpful for enrollment, but once comes the time to cancel the service it involves a lot missed communication, unclear rules, and the only one that lost in the end is the customer. So frustrating! I paid for the cancelation fee plus a whole month of "notice period" that I was not clearly informed about, so I did not use the club for the last days period that I paid for. I dont recommend this place for whom wants to avoid extra stress.

Applied for a 3 day trial to check out the gym facilities and customer service. I made the mistake of using my out of state address as “sales guy Greg” immediately was dismissive saying it only only applies to Lancaster residents. He rudely/condescendingly tore up my free trial request paper just to prove his point that I was not eligible. I grew up here and rave about the charm and community values of inclusiveness to my southern friends. Please explain to me how one can try out this facility and not face such exclusionary culture that I experienced? Thanks

I originally gave Universal 5 stars but after spending 5 months here I think 3 stars is more accurate...it's a 5 star facility as far as the equipment and footprint. The staff is also friendly and helpful. However, there seems to be a "disconnect" between feedback and action...for example, theft is a MAJOR issue and they refuse to address it despite suggestions on multiple occasions. I've briefly left equipment and even a new pair of sneakers in the aquatic area for less than 5 minutes only to have them stolen. Their "lost and found" in this area is not secure, so there's no place to store lost items. I do have a locker for ultra valuable items but who steals sneakers? A secondary issue (mostly out of their control) is the amount of people that spend time staring at their cell phones while using equipment. I have a hard time understanding why cell phones are needed in gyms, unless you're a doctor of lawyer but to each their own I guess! All this said, my experience at Universal is "mixed". Perhaps they should increase the price even more to prevent people from using it who choose to actively steal for side hustle...?

Group classes are super fun! I signed up the 14 days for $14 to get a taste and it went so well. The gym is big - it has a huge main floor with equipments, many many studios, a swimming pool, and places that I might have missed. Troy gave me a walk through of everything. He is super nice and helpful. I feel welcomed every time I go. I decided to get the membership after 14 days of trail. I think it's worth the money. If you are unsure like I was before, do the 14 days and there is no obligation to sign up after that. And talk to Troy, he is awesome :)

Universal is hands down the best gym in Lancaster. I have Healthways so I can go to a few of the gyms around here for free, but I choose to pay for a membership and go to Universal instead every single time. I've been going to UAC for a while and I cannot express how much I love it. I see a few of the reviews here say they are not following proper Covid guidelines, and this simply is not true. Throughout all of Covid I have felt safe and clean at UAC, and I have seen members and workers cleaning the equipment like crazy. They have spray bottles all over the place, along with sanitizer wipes and hand sanitizer. If you are choosing to come to a gym during Covid then you must realize that it is a choice YOU are making. The workers at UAC have provided me with a mask when I forgot one and I have heard them remind others to keep theirs on. Unfortunately it is on us (the members) to follow the rules when a staff member is not in view. Lets stop bashing this incredible fitness facility and remember who's in charge of their own masks - the members. I assure you they are doing their absolute best, and this is one of the cleanest places you'll find in all of Lancaster.

The place is ok. I think the 1 star reviews a bit dramatic and the 5 stars certainly arent warranted. Sharon Hurst works at the place and gave a 5 star review, perhaps it was getting close to evaluation time ? Nice family atmosphere...some outdated equipment but overall its a decent value. If you don't have a family there are better places in the area to go

Universal Athletic Club is a treasure for anyone interested in impacting the quality of their fitness. The facility is state-of-the-art & the staff is populated by committed professionals. The culture of the club is welcoming & encouraging. For those who are starting a wellness journey, as well as those who are well established in their fitness, UAC supports all comers. I feel fortunate to have such a high quality facility available. My promise is that you will whole heartedly agree. If you are in the process of searching out a gym, I invite you to see for yourself what the value and opportunity is at Universal.

I can't believe we have a gym of this caliber in Lancaster! Amazing and CLEAN facilities. Tons of space. Fantastic classes...but mostly, I am so impressed with the customer service and genuine care of the employees. Grateful to have this club in my town.

I love going to Universal gym. I am involved in the Thrive program and Elisse is a wonderful coach. I enjoy the convenience of the spa and salon. Emily Wenger gives a wonderful massage. Power plate classes are a great addition to Universal.

I'm 67 and recently underwent a bone marrow transplant. I needed to completely rebuild my strength. My physical trainer understood my situation, and got me set up on a program that is slowly bringing my body back to where it was earlier this year.

I’m so glad I decided to switch gyms to UAC! The price is worth everything they have to offer and I love how spacious and clean it is! The staff is also really nice and welcoming!

Our family is getting a lot of value from our membership at universal athletic club. We love having a place for the kids to go in the cold winter months including the pool and kids club. I highly recommend this fitness club if you’re in the local area.

Great place to work out and very friendly staff. Lots of different equipment options and everything is always very clean. The only downside is that it can get very busy during the common exercise times.

Great gym, up to date equipment, newly refreshed weight room and basketball court. A tad pricey but for any weightlifter you can't beat it in the area

I’ve been at Universal for over 15 years. The quality of the club cannot be beat. The friendly staff, variety of programs and cleanliness of the club is amazing. I’ve been training with Asher for two years and he is awesome. He is a terrific coach who is motivating and personal. He corrects form and modifies workouts to your needs.

I have been a member of Universal for 3 years and participate in the Thrive program with Kelly. The trainers keep me accountable for my fitness program which has kept me going, even during the pandemic. They’ve even provided online zoom classes when cases are high, and I am uncomfortable going to the gym in person. Universal’s staff is always professional, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Thanks, Universal, for turning my fitness around so that I am profoundly more fit than I have been in years.

Best fitness center, gym and aquatic center in Lancaster county. Highest quality & variety of equipment; cleanest & best maintained facilities; most friendly & helpful employees; and enormous selection of classes, programs and amenities. Easy 5 stars and well deserved.

First I have to say I travel for work and have joined gyms in about 6 different states. Universal is by far the best. At first the size is overwhelming, but you soon realize it has everything you need and the environment is motivating and supportive. The staff is great the teachers are really on point.

Would be a 5 Star gym if it was a little more affordable. Facilities are great. Plenty of equipment, group classes are great and nice pool. I will say even though it's much higher priced to belong, so far it has been worth it. Became in better shape in 6 months here than I was in 8 years at Planet Fitness

I have been a member of UAC since Oct 2016 and I absolutely love it! Everyone from the front desk, to guest services, trainers, instructors, maintenance staff are welcoming, friendly, encouraging and supportive. I've been members at other gyms, but none of them measure up to what UAC has to offer and that's pretty much EVERYTHING! You could literally stay there if they had rooms🤔that might be next, lol! My goal was to create and maintain a healthier lifestyle. UAC helped me attain that by offering services like weigh way less and I also take group fitness classes!

They've thought of everything. The warming pool has allowed me to postpone knee replacement indefinitely. Clean, open feeling, hi speed wi-fi, ... they even have a little bridge game on Monday afternoons.

Friendly and helpful staff members make Universal my top pick for an all out fitness center. This is a excellent place, there’s something for everyone at Universal Athletic Club. The cost is very affordable considering what you get with their memberships. Also very clean and neat (not your typical gym).

For over 8 years, Universal Athletic Club has been my choice for my fitness needs and I love it here! All of the fitness instructors are top notch and so is the facility. Over 7 years ago I met Kelly (😍), a fitness instructor and Thrive trainer and she has made a huge difference in my life. Between Zumba, Thrive and Body Flow, I never get bored with my workouts. There is something for everyone here!

Its a very nice gym but the price is a little high about $150 it's not your "Budget" gym there is a lot of gyms around like Planet Fitness but this gym is worth the price for me its very spread out and the pool is nice of taking long strokes or just swiming, and the kidz Club is nice its worth it if you have kids.

I read some awful reviews in regards to covid regulations. I must say I was nervous as well and expecting the worse. I went to universal twice in the last week and saw everyone wearing masks, signs encouraging members to wear masks, hand sanitizer stations, plexiglass, rerouting stairs so you go down one stairwell and go up the other in a different location, staff wiping down equipment, classes making sure people are 6ft apart and I have heard members encouraging other members to wear a mask and to use hand sanitizer. In reality it's truethat this is all based on the honor system. This place can remind you about the rules all day and night long but it's up to you to follow them. It's up to you to use good judgement about covid. This place is doing their best like everywhere else.

Love doing TBS 3 days a week with Asher. I have been doing this program for the last two years and it’s kept me incredibly consistent. The motivation to take a break in the day makes my workday more productive. Thanks Asher for keeping me accountable as well as reaching my goals.

  • 5/5 Madison B. 2 years ago on Google
Asher is the bomb! He keeps me accountable and is motivating in class to help me reach my goals. His upbeat, positive attitude keeps the whole class going. Highly recommend using Asher as your trainer!

This "club" is a joke. It's 4 to 5 times as expensive as eSporta or anytime fitness for relatively the same quality experience in equipment and facilities!! It's twice as expensive as Spooky Nook!!! which has 80,000 SQ feet and an obstacle course plus everything else you could ever want. And it's almost as expensive as lifetime fitness which has 5 times the facilities that this place offers and that's not even counting Lifetimes state of the art equipment or giant outdoor pool. The staff here is rude and pushy. Why would anyone ever go here????? Do they not know they are getting robbed blind????????

Sports performance is the best program around. Charlie and Matt are the best trainers you can have. That pain is worth the gain.

Universal is a great local club. It is very clean, has all the greatest equipment and offers a lot of services. I am taking Thrive with Kelly Drexler. She is very good at individualizing the workouts for me. When I am away, she even texts me workouts to do while on vacation. She is great. Looking forward to continuing our membership.

This is a great gym! It is well maintained and has the best community of people. I love all of the group fitness classes. I have been doing the Thrive program with Kelly since I joined the gym. I love the program. Kelly is a great trainer and personalizes workouts to fit the needs of her clients. She has a passion for what she does and it shows. Kelly also went above and beyond to keep her clients motivated and active during the gym being closed for Covid. Thanks for helping me survive the shut down!

Excellent facility and staff - at all levels. A constant hub of activity involving all ages at multiple levels of fitness challenges. The trainers are diverse in approach and methodology, so it is easy to find the right one for you in order to inspire you to want to exercise. Kelly Drexler is one such talented, dedicated, knowledgeable and enthusiastic trainer who offers many different types and levels of training so that you can find that exercise match for your specific needs and personality. I recommend Universal most highly. ( I have been active in exercise and athletics for over 50 years, including Collegiate competition, high school coaching , and marathon and triathlon competitions)
