Oh such a lovely place. The scenery! We had an intimate birthday lunch for my daughter and we loved their service. The lady who took our reservation lovely, polite and made sure everything we wanted was in place. Our waiter paid attention to detail and the food was just excellent. Keep up the standard.Highly recommended!

The botanical gardens are breathtaking and could spend hours exploring. The greenhouses have some truly stunning specimens and the house gardens themselves are great for a leisurely stroll. The food and drink items on the menu are overpriced but satisfying. Definitely one of my favourite places to explore

Nice place to hang out especially with your loved one. We fell in love with the coffee, the front desk staff #Ngoni are so welcoming and made the short visit worth the while. The garden is very beautiful with nice views. We even got to buy flowers for our garden from the nursery they are very affordable. The botanical garden is so natural and beautiful. Nice place to relax

While I was not a sleepover quest. I did have the distinct pleasure of Sunday lunch and afternoon in the breath taking beauty of the gardens. The staff went out of their way to attend to us.

A hidden gem ! We've been meaning to visit for so long and finally did it. Beautiful buildings and gardens. Interesting history. Do buy the brochure to find out more. Fantastic walks through the botanical gardens and outside. Good value for money. Great destination for both self catering and for eating in the hotel, or a mixture of both so an easy option from a planning perspective. And great spa ! Do plan this into your visit. We spoiled ourselves and had a massage each every day.

Very disappointed. Normally received two Trout plus seasons vegetables, was asked what section of ONE fish I would like when cut in half Poorly??? Poorly stocked bar for the second visit in ten days although we had attended a private function which had been planned days in advance. Very over priced for local drinks $4 usd for a 300ml can. Not impressed I'm afraid.

A must see place if you're ever traveling in this area and want something you and your family will talk about forever. Beautiful place for pictures , lunch, hiking and they also have a botanical garden you "WON'T" be disappointed with mark my words.. Most definitely will be coming back sometime in the near future and keep up the fantastic work team.

Absolutely loved this place. The gardens are spectacular and the hotel has been was so tastefully preserved. Such friendly staff and we had a very privileged tour of the orchids by head gardner, Nicholas. What a jolly, friendly and informative gentleman. Thank you Nicholas

Had a delicious lunch. The place is immaculate. The gardens are stunning and the orchid collection is absolutely incredible. Peter walked us through the orchid collection and nursery, that him and his father before him helped to nurture. The dedication and love for his work really shone through his explanations. Highlight of my trip.

An old habitat with a fantastic flower and tree garden that is well cared for. It is situated in the woods and the air is fresh. There are nice houses that are well equipped to use as lodges. Food is prepared while you wait. It is not crowded and this is good for those who want a family retetreat outing. Its all beautiful for an eye that knows beauty. There is a small cocktail bar with almost all types of beverages. A swimming pool. A large snooker table, A family size sitting and dining room. Good terrain for early morning or evening walk or jog. WiFi is available but limited cellphone network.

Made an afternoon visit for lunch on the terrace/veranda. We had sirloin steak with chips, vegetable quiche, and finished off with a chocolate gâteau & icecream and coffee. All very good. Could not fault the service either even though there was only one waiter. Unfortunately it started raining so we were not able to fully explore the extensive gardens. Definitely worth a second visit & maybe even an overnight stay.

Exquisitely tucked in the plush, regenerative forest and home to some of the rarest orchids. This is a must visit for the nature lover. Refurbished, renewed and refocussed meet today's hotel, spa and conferencing needs. What a place to be!

Worth the visit. Food is great, service great ambience in the main lodge area is great. However our room needs an upgrade from the 60s to modern, removes the carpet and put in wood laminate flooring and a jet master to warm up room in winter.
