What a beautiful place, lovely trees and interesting bats. We went on a Saturday and lots of people were getting married. Great to see. I had to pick up a few bottles or rubbish, keep the park clean, please, there is enough rubbish around without ruining this spot.

You can circumnavigate the whole area in 10 minutes, but whatever you see is beautiful and maintained. Some large trees, a small lake, a few flower beds and a ton of birds screaming. But that's it. My only complaint, is not regarding the size, but the maintainers could at least put some boards against the trees to tell the visitors about their breed, history and interesting facts. There's nothing really to read. Overall, it's quite good compared to usual parks.

Since 1885 this botanical garden survived in the old center of Maputo. Massive tall tropical trees provide shade. There is a small pond and the trails through divers vegetation are well maintained. Birds and bats have chosen the garden to be their home. It is a very tranquil place, excellent for a walk in the morning. Hardly suitable for running as the garden is rather small. Small but lovely gardens - really, more of a park than a botanical garden. Well-kept, with a gateman to maintain order. Quiet, with benches and lawns. Lovely trees, flowers, and a very visible bat colony. Recommended.

Very beautiful park. On the weekends you can see couples celebrating their marriage, there is a place that you can see bats. You can sit and relax. There is also a tennis court.

Very nice place, based close to tennis courts. You can breath clean air in the middle of the town. Some trees are hundreds years old.

Nice spot to visit in Maputo. The place is very convenient for study, reading a book, or quiet chill with friends. The WiFi is gratis but only working in certain areas on the day we visit. The entrance is well designed with a statue of the 1st President of Mozambique. Nice spot for pics as well.

My family and I love visiting these gardens. If you follow the path when you enter, it brings you to a fun little playground which is good for little kids. In the lower corner of the park just below the playground, there is also a little pond with Tilapia and Catfish which you can feed if you take some old bread or crackers. If you go on the weekend, be prepared to contend with a large number of bridal parties who come to take photos. They tend to stay towards the entrance, however, so if you venture in a bit deeper you can get past them.

A nice place to spend a day or afternoon alone or with someone. Rounded with green plants, this is a big botanic garden within the city's boundaries.

Incredibly beautiful and worth a visit. The gardens are well maintained and it is an oasis in the middle of the city. The bats were a surprise and the wedding parties contributed to a vibrant visit.

It's a beautiful garden, with a vast diversity of plants/trees. It's quiet and nice to ambient to read/study or just relax. I don't give it five stars because there are a lot of mosquito like insects after 4-5pm, which sting and irritate the skin, making it very ichy. It also doesn't have shade in many of the benches provided by the park.

This place is beautiful, I've seen it before and after it's remodeling and the difference is like heaven and earth. They have an information desk, a green house and free Wi-Fi. This garden is peaceful, clean, with plenty of places do seat and have a great time and best of all well protected.

πŸ‘ The Costa de Sol beach area is very unique in that it offers a very large flat area for enjoying the beach at low tide. Families with little children can enjoy very safe water play without the risk of tidal undercurrents. It is also a wonderful location for playing sport.
