I live around the area for many years. But this is the first time I come to this place (shame on me haha). I chose the bar counter seat to get closer to action of the staff and that electrifying vibes. It is a Thursday night, right after the Covid restriction on alcohol serving hour is lifted. It’s jam-packed as in all the tables are occupied. The sign that says last orders at 11.30pm brings hope and also mixed feelings at the same time (hope there will not be a need to revert 🤞🏻). The pizza is by far the best I have had. The range of not so common beer and cider brings some elements of surprise. To top it all is the oldies songs. Listening to Air Supply “Even the nights are better since I found you” and Michael Jackson “Beat it” while sipping the beer feels like weekend has just been brought forward. TGIF tomorrow.

A good selection of British and European beers on offer as well as the larger variety of ciders. Really nice food available too if you're into your 'pub grub'. The bangers and mash had a fittingly appley taste, a lovely homey dish. The fish and chips were served with a peppery curry sauce and were equally enjoyed. There's been a convivial atmosphere each time I've visited, the staff are nice and the prices are impressive - even moreso when you discover there's no 'plus plus'.

Plenty selections of cider (both tapped & bottled) & beer at very affordable prices. Staff r friendly n services reminded me those bars in UK. Food r fine too. A good venue to chill up, not too noisy n mostly mature customers. It opens quite later till 1am.

Stood outside for a good 10 minutes before the staff noticed us despite us waving our hands trying to get their attention. Perfectly understandable because they were busy. The staff led us to a corner of the counter bar, but we prefer to sit on the other side because the staff was having his meal in front of us, dirty dishes were also left in front of us. We walked over to the other side of the counter bar to ask if we can sit over there, the staff in grey shouted at us rudely - totally uncalled for.

Love the people there, thrs a huge variety on the drinks as well. Food are affordable and they give a generous portion compared to normal bar, been there quite a few times yet never finished one platter of fries

Offers cider, craft beer and pub grub. Out in the east coast. Good bus connections back to the CBD. Go with friends.

As the name says, this bar is famous for it’s variety of craft ciders, at a friendly price too. No GST and service charge! The are regular promo deals that they update on the board. The bar also serves a pretty long list of imported bottled beers. Food is pretty good, you have your regular fried bar food e.g. chicken wings, fries and banh mi. The staff are quite chill and friendly.

A great place to chill. However there’s no TV. Sometimes the ciders they list on the blackboard (offer) are just cheaper cans which you can find at supermarkets that are also on offer. I would suggest them to sell better beers on tap too though.. they lack stout beers too. Would be happy to have Guinness on the menu. Try the bucket of chips! It’s worth it.

Walked along Joo Chiat. Made time for it to see all the shops. A unique experience. Gentrification in progress. This place will boom. A new Holland Village in the east or even better. See classic building designs with artistic graffiti walls. Make a pit stop at The Cider Pit. A relaxed ambience and casual place for cold ciders. A perfect place for a thirst quenching drink on a hot Joo Chiat Road walk.

Visited for the first time here. Was walking past and just walked in. Was suggested the King Goblin, staff said it was a good beer, and yes fully agree, an excellent beer, can make a trip for this alone. Otherwise prices and the atmosphere should bring you here. Cheers

A local institution with a huge selection of British ales and ciders, affordable prices, and friendly staff. Perfect place to unwind, chill, and watch the world go by. Highly recommended!

Great place to hang out for a couple of drinks and bar snack at Joo Chiat. This place will definitely impress you with their interesting European decor and bustling cheerful vibe at night. It can easily make you feel like being in an English pub almost. As the name suggests, they offer a wide range of cider, so be sure to try one bottle there. The friendly staff can even recommend which one to try if you have no idea yet. We had toffee flavour cider as per staff's recommendation. They can be full since early in the evening, so some waiting time may be expected.

A very rustic place for a causal drink. There are some craft beers you can try here. You can grab some finger food to eat, no main course. Can be a good place to catch up with a friend on Friday evening.

Chill atmosphere! Came for dinner and drinks and had a great time. Had the black pepper Lamb burger and Hawaiian Pork burger and both were delicious. Lager and Cider on tap were great too. Highly recommended for a chill time of conversations over drinks.

A 'spit and sawdust' type venue of the sort rarely seen in Singapore and justly popular. Well-priced and decent selection of beers and ciders, friendly enough staff. It's a bit of a trek if you're staying central or west but well worth the journey.

Can here for a TGIF drink. Busiest bar around the area within 100m. Had the signature snakebite (beer mixed with cider), I liked it as it was slightly on the sweet side. 1 litre, $20. Also ordered the calamari trio as the night’s bar snack for us. Will be back to try the burgers and other beers!

Best... bar....Evan. Good music. Awesome set of locals. Incredibly friendly bartenders. Make this the afternoon stop for your Singapore outing. Amazing selection of cider. Get the Brothers Toffee Apple or Showerings Triple Vintage.

I’m here for the juicy burger patties, chef used to be in the Alexandra coffeeshop. Made from minced Australian striploin. Each patty grilled like how the chef wants it. I hear it even goes well with peanut butter. My beef salad had a whole patty over a bed of generous salad dressed Asian style , citrusy, with slices of orange, uplifting complement to the meat. Take time to savour each bite of the juicy patty done just right. Kudos to the chef! MBG for the juicy patties. PS. Chips were crispy on the outside fluffy inside…

They gave a wide range of beers and ciders. Most of 5he food only available from Wednesday to Sunday. We only had fish and chips and I must say the chips are one of the best in town..

Good place to grab a pint and some grub. Wait staff need to look less at the phones and more at customers. Didn't eat anything there but the food they brought out looked tasty.

I wouldn't come here specifically for the food, but the beers on tab are pretty decent!

A cozy spot that serves good basic burgers! I had their signature beef burger and while it was nothing too mind-blowing, the signature sauce was delicious and the patty was juicy and charred beautifully at the sides! Definitely satisfied my burger craving and would I would recommend a visit if you’re in the area. Would appreciate if waitstaff were more attentive as it took awhile before someone attended to and took our order.

Good range of beers although only one lager which was disappointing. More for the ale brigade than lager ones. Nice atmosphere though.

Didn't get to try the food, but saw another table's wings and fries and they looked GREAT. Love the very classic bar vibes! Craft beer selection's on the just okay side for my liking, but it IS called the Cider Pit, not Beer Pit. Prices were surprisingly good for the country we find ourselves in.

Been here for years, great atmosphere, good drinks, awesome staff at the bar, however the food quality have dropped really badly by “The Bargers” I ordered a simple basket of fries this time, and this is the quantity I am getting. Extremely inconsistent.

Very casual neighbourhood bar. They have quite a good selection of British ales and ciders. The ales and ciders on tap come in 3 sizes: half pint, full pint, stein. So you can order half pints to taste a few varieties. They even sell pork scratchings. There's no air conditioning but it's usually cool in the evenings.

Very affordable prices for drinks, the bar food wasn’t that great. Nice ambience but service varied between different waitresses. Had my order messed up by the waitress taking my order.

It's all about UK ciders, but in the bottled selection I found something that had a hint of French and Asturian ciders. Most of the waiters don't really know what they're selling, but they're helpful getting the knowledgeable person to your table of you ask for an advice. I tried some dinner for that didn't get me excited, but it's not for the food that you should go there.

Great selection of ciders on tap but beers on tap are quite limited. Good variety of bottled beers on the other hand. Happy hour prices all day long though! Prices are nett. ($10-$12 for 500ml pint) Awesome place to hang out for a pocket-friendly drink or two!
