I have been training with Stephen for just over 3 months now and have signed up for the next full year, because I am amazed at what I have been able to accomplish in such a short amount of time, and want to keep a great thing going! I was originally referred by my brother, who has been powerlifting training with him for years. In just 3 months, I am stronger than I have ever been in my life, lifting more than I ever have in the 3 main lifts (squat, bench, deadlift) and lifting more in accessory work, while recovering from a hamstring injury (torn hamstring). I am pain-free, feel great, have more energy. I have tried other programs in the past, as well as wasted a bunch of time self-programming, and have never gotten these kinds of results. If you need help, are injured, or just want to get stronger or back into lifting, please do yourself a favour and reach out to Stephen. It will be one of the best decisions you ever make! I am so grateful for my new-found strength and to be pain-free! I feel unstoppable! Thank you, Stephen!

Having Stephen as my trainer has been a life changer for me. The studio itself is always super clean and I love the open concept (very spacious) with the garage door open to the back. Stephen is extremely knowledgable, motivating, understanding, patient and does whatever he can to adjust his schedule to yours and find out what workouts work best for you. I was set up with two apps, one for diet and one for training at home, which has been very helpful. He is also available to message if you have any questions or concerns. After 20 sessions I have seen a huge difference in my appearance, overall health and attitude. I cannot thank Stephen enough.

Stephen helped me virtually with some running injuries. For me, three qualities are very important in a physiotherapist - being a good listener, showing empathy, and extensive knowledge about biomechanics, injuries, rehab etc. Stephen ticked all three boxes. His approach is holistic, which is really important, and I felt he really understood my situation, helped by extensive experience and great technical knowledge, which you can see from his content on social media. I warmly recommend him.

I came to Stephen to see if he could help me heal some chronic injuries from marathon training. I’ve had these injuries for 3+ years, have seen every kind of western medicine doc you can imagine. I decided to work with Stephen based on a glowing referral from my acupuncturist. It’s now been a few months and working with Stephen has been great! He takes the time to really understand my injuries and what we can do together to get me stronger and to hopefully heal them. He thinks differently than any doctor or PT I’ve seen. His own personal story and healing process lends itself to helping me get to where I want to be. He curates a workout plan just for me each week. He’s always there whenever I’ve had any questions or needed a hype man to get through some workouts. I’ve worked long and hard to build a team of people to help me get back to running, and Stephen is definitely one of them!

I have been training with Stephen Strumos for about eight weeks now. I've never had personal training or lifted weights before. Stephen is professional and incredibly knowledgeable. He takes extra time to explain everything and ensure my safety. He also makes me feel accomplished. He is patiently and supportively coaching and pushing me to do more than I thought I could do. Since starting I have noticed a remarkable difference in the way I feel physically and mentally which has been very motivating. I am also having a lot of fun. I highly recommend Stephen if you are considering a trainer. You would be very lucky to work with him.

Coach Stephen is fantastic! He is so personable and caters my goals as an individual. I had a lower back injury and he was responsible for helping me understand the step by step process in getting better and now I’m hitting all time PRs again! What differentiates him from other coaches is his patience with the educational process. He is the man!

I have signed up to Coach Stephen's fitness program and am beyond grateful that I did! This is not the first program that I have been apart of and honestly with all the other programs I started to lose motivation and ended up wasting my money. Coach Stephen does an amazing job holding you accountable and keeping you motivated to continue to do the workout program. Another thing that I really enjoyed was that the program he created was tailored for my exact goals. If there was anything I was not able to perform he would find alternative exercises and change it up almost immediately to keep me satisfied. There was great customer service and coach Stephen was always around to answer any of my questions. His program also tracks your nutrition from the application he uses to make sure you are on track with your goals. Overall, I recommend this program to anyone who wants to get their fitness goals and needs a trainer to help keep them motivated!

I was looking for guidance and felt like the ones at the gym wouldn't be there for me. Thankfully I remembered I know Coach Strumos. He knows everything to know about fitness and getting in shape, he cares about who he's working with, and wants you to achieve your goals as much as you do. If you want 100% dedication and results, Coach Strumos is the first person you should call.

I've been a client for 12 weeks because I needed help rehabbing a chronic injury that I had 10 years ago. In those 3 months I learned when to push and when to "leave something in the tank", which would have probably prevented the injury in the first place. Pain is at an all time low right now and hopefully what I have learnt it will help me to progress without re-aggravating it.

After just a short few months training with Coach Stephen, I'm now back-squatting my old 1RM for reps! 💪🏽😁 Coach really pays meticulous attention to the details and always goes the extra mile to ensure that his clients are comfortable and happy with their programming. I had my doubts about online coaching before, but now my perspectives have been completely changed, and I feel stronger and faster than I ever have in my life. 💯

I started working with Stephen to get rid of my chronic back pain. I have my sessions with him over the zoom from US. Throughout the process I also got so much stronger. I’m so thankful to Stephen that I’m able to keep up with the physical demands of 2 small children. I never looked this fit and that strong in my life. He is so professional, detail oriented and a true pleasure to work with.

I started working with Stephen, about two year post-fracture of distal humerus. Due to nature of my work, I also had occasional back pain and neck pain. Stephen is different than your regular trainer because of: 1. His diagnostic ability: He understands anatomy of human body. The depth of his understanding is enforced not by the job requirements but by pure interest. In order to pin point pain and the cause, he may ask the client to do exercises and watch them and then suggest corrective movements based on those. As the client, I appreciate his work and attention to detail only after the corrective moves start to feel better and his explains what the issue was and why the treatments worked. This brings me to the next point. 2. Communication Ability: Stephen has extensive knowledge in the field AND is willing to answer any questions you have and more. People say if you give a hungry man a fish, you feed him for a day, but if you teach him how to fish, you feed him for a lifetime. Stephen's coaching teaches you fishing in my opinion (i.e. you have a basic understanding of how to put together workouts after working with him for some time). This is of course self-paced depending on the extent your curiosity and wanting to learn. 3. Myth-busting Ability: We often see how when something is deemed beneficial or harmful in the fitness world, everybody jumps on that bandwagon. However, Stephen does research before doing so. In a lot of cases, the majority opinion is wrong. For instance, knee over toes when squatting is bad, back bending during deadlifts is bad, etc. Stephen has the knowledge to tell you how these common notions came about and when they are applicable. He also knows when it's okay and even beneficial to override these public rules of thumb. Overall, having Stephen gets rid of all the excuses/concerns which are obstacles in reaching your goals and you can get there if you are willing to put in the work. So if you are looking for a trainer because you are dealing with pain/injury or are tired of fishing out the true bits of info from fitness media, then your search is over. You have found the perfect guy!

I've been working virtually with Stephen for a few months now, trying to get rid of the remnants of pain from a herniated disc. I tried other PTs plus steroid injections and nothing helped alleviate my pain as much as sticking with the workouts that Stephen has provided. As a remote customer, Stephen updates my workouts via the Trainerize app which is extremely helpful with instructions and videos of each movement. If I am uncertain, I send Stephen a video of myself and he gives me feedback. We have also spoken on the phone several times to check in. I believe you really get back what you put into this program. The more questions, communication, videos, the more confident I am that I'm doing the movements correctly and am on the path to a fully pain free life! Definitely recommend Strumos Fitness virtual PT for anyone who is not local to the gym.

I've really enjoyed working with Stephen the last 3 months. As someone with medical issues and things to work around I was nervous about working with a coach I couldn't see or see me. Thankfully it's never been an issue. He understood all of my concerns and I can see how each exercise is meant for me. He makes modifications when needed and the custom program is really working. I like having the flexibility to workout on my own schedule and having the accountability of a personal trainer. Happy to recommend.

As a client of Stephen’s, I can say without any reservations whatsoever, that if you suffer from chronic pain or injuries, Coach Stephen at Fit Studios has the expertise to transform your daily routines into pain-free days, where strength is readily available and physical limitations are never a concern as you go between tasks. I started working with Stephen in September 2020, 3 months after breaking my left wrist and right elbow. Due to the extent of my injuries, I had to get surgery, with a metal plate and screws in each arm. Once my casts were removed, I religiously followed my physiotherapy routine for a couple of months, but I still had chronic pain and was struggling with simple tasks such as holding a coffee cup in one hand. Prior to my injuries I regularly worked out in the gym and enjoyed weightlifting. I was devastated as I thought I’d never be able to get back to my normal daily tasks, let alone where I was, fitness-wise, before breaking my arms. As I dismayed over accepting a future filled with chronic pain and physical limits, came the revelation of working with Coach Stephen (as a birthday gift from my little sister). Even though I was skeptical at first, I soon realized that I needed the guidance of someone like Stephen, who is truly a master of his craft and knows how to design specific workout routines focused on strengthening the muscle groups around my injury sites, as well as building my overall strength. I am now the strongest I have ever been in my life. I deadlift more than my own weight, do exercises such as push ups and pull ups without any discomfort in my arms, and I go through my days without any pain or physical limitations caused by my injuries. After learning the value of an intelligently-designed workout routine, I referred my mom, who has had chronic back pain for years, to work with Stephen as well. In just a few months, I started seeing a big change in my mom, who at the age of 61, is now as agile and strong as most 30-year-olds. Working with Stephen was our last hope as we had spent many years attending appointments with chiropractors, specialists, spinal surgeons, and even completed an extensive treatment plan at a pain clinic, without getting any long term results. My mom has now gone from constantly taking pain medication and being on bedrest for a few days, every month or so, to working out 4-5 times a week and not needing any meds for her back pain. This is a miracle indeed. Coach Stephen’s ability to understand the specific needs of his clients and the nature of their injuries, together with his vast knowledge of exercises meant to strengthen specific muscle and joint structures, is a remarkable combination that can assist any person journey into the most physically capable and the strongest version of themselves possible. Mobility, strength and being pain-free are the best gifts and reward anyone can ask for. In addition to all of that, Stephen is just a sweet and kind person, which makes working with him an absolute pleasure. I am forever grateful to Coach Stephen for the strength he has introduced into my life and have no hesitation to recommend him to anyone who wants to be stronger and pain free.

I just completed a 30 day personal training program with Stephen and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone else looking to work on their personal fitness, whether your goals relate to strength, injury recovery, or weight loss. My personal goal was to rehab my body after suffering a knee injury, multiple surgeries, and a really tough recovery about 2 years ago. I met Stephen at Fit Studios and loved his classes there, so when he announced he was doing personal training I immediately signed up. We went through an initial consultation where I explained to him the nature of my injuries and what I was looking for. I found him really knowledgeable about rehabbing from injury, which is the main component I was looking for in a personal trainer. Together we decided that my goals were to increase range, stability, and strength. Stephen quickly came up with a tailored program to reflect these goals. My favourite part about the program was the mobility exercises he included. I saw a significant difference from beginning to end in my stability and strength, especially on my bad leg. These were exercises I would never have thought to incorporate on my own, and I wouldn't have known where to look online. We went through some of the workouts together on zoom during which he adjusted or talked me through the exercises I had some difficulties with. For example, after seeing that I was hip dominant on my squats he adapted the squatting exercises over the video and even threw in some extra exercises in the program to target my technique. Now when I do squats I feel like I'm actually targeting the areas I'm supposed to be and my bottom half feels much stronger than before. Stephen checked in personally on me after the workouts to make sure my knee was feeling okay. We also tried adding in some running (which I haven't done properly in 2 years) and he trained me the week before about things to look out for, and adapted my program for the week to ensure that I don't put myself in a position where I could get injured. The nutritional factor was really helpful in getting me to stay at a consistent weight and to incorporate more nutrients and proteins which I really needed. I'm extremely happy with the results I got with him just after one month. I feel stronger, more energetic, more stable, and more flexible. Thanks Stephen!!

Just finished up my program that was setup by Stephen. He is a very knowledgeable, professional and comfortable personal trainer. Was at a road block with my own training and took his advice with how to overcome it. Overall I achieved my goals and would highly recommend if you are a results oriented person. You only get the results you want with the effort you put in and the right guidance. Thanks again Stephen!

Stephen is a book of knowledge when it comes to fitness training. He has a deep understanding of body mechanics and is able to cater each fitness session to your specific needs. Stephen is very disciplined and methodical in his approaches as a trainer and coach and has a vast inventory of techniques in his arsenal that he can use on his clients to overcome any physical limiting factor or to help achieve their goals quicker. He choreographs each session in detail ahead of time and is always prepared to adapt to the workout based on his observations of your progress. You can ask him as many questions and you like about means, methods and techniques and he’s not only capable but happy to answer them. His acumen for fitness, specifically strength training and rehabilitation, are top notch!

Since day one, Stephen has been nothing short of patient and supportive as he's guided me through working on my health goals. Although I'm someone who uses a mobility aid and have limited physical abilities, he's been able to work around my challenges and create a plan that helps to keep me healthy and as active as possible. He's also incredibly knowledgeable about fitness and how adaptable the human body really is, and is great at helping you recognize your own potential. I'd recommend him to anyone no matter how small or large their fitness and health goals are!

Stephen definitely surprised me with the results I am seeing. So be prepared to be surprised and blown away. Stephen is very goal oriented, you set a reasonable goal and he’ll get you there. Stephen is also very understanding and flexible. I am a mom of two boys, work full-time, and constantly juggling tasks. I never thought working with a trainer would fit my schedule, but to my surprise, it did. I started working with Stephen 22 month postpartum. I used to be a runner and wanted to get back into running again without pain. Stephen focuses on the root cause of pain and issues and works on an strategy to fix it for good. I am so happy that I can now go out and enjoy a run and not be in pain.

Stephen has been my personal trainer for three months now. Over these months the knowledge and understanding I have gained has been incredible. I went to Stephen with the goal of getting stronger. With his guidance and knowledge I have already made major improvements in not only my strength but my form and understanding of how to train effectively yet safely. I can squat and deadlift more than I weigh! I wish I would have started sooner. If you are thinking about starting your fitness journey but are unsure where to start, I highly recommend Stephen and the services that he offers.

While there is certainly no lack of gyms or fitness clubs in the city, my choice is FitStudios. The facility is clean and has a high ceiling which allows good air flow throughout. A good variety of fitness equipments is also readily available. However, what really stands out is the open space area that has been put aside for athletic conditioning and performance training. I ruptured my achilles tendon a few months ago in a tournament. The injury gave meaning to the phrase “a chain is only as strong as its weakest link”. Hence, I wanted a club that could provide the necessary space for agility exercises that encourage my body to develop balance and flexibility. FitStudios has the type of space I am looking for. In addition, I decided to work with Stephen Strumos, a certified trainer at the studio. Stephen is very approachable and willing to take the time to understand my challenge and needs. After going through the initial assessment, Stephen came up with a workout regimen that are very practical and helpful. Most valuable of all, Stephen would help push my limit to improve my stamina. Even my physiotherapist noticed the difference in my progress after only a few sessions with Stephen. I highly recommended FitStudios and Stephen.

Stephen, is a very well educated trainer. His background in powerlifting, and building a pain free body have truly taken my fitness to the next level. At first I was worried that Stephen would be just like every other trainer I've worked with, but he continued to hold me accountable and meet me where I was at. This helped me to build trust and get back to doing the things I love without pain! If you're thinking about working with Stephen, don't wait.

Strumos Fitness is an excellent personal training gym. It is small, clean, and private that feels more personal. It is never overcrowded which is nice. Stephen is exceptional and takes an interest in you no matter what your age or level of fitness you are at. I'm in my 80s myself and Stephen is professional and patient in his work with me. It's great training and I have a good time working with him. I highly recommend him.

Stephen reached out to me on Instagram, and would occasionally offer me advice about my training. After seeing his Instagram page and chatting with him, it became clear that he was exactly the coach I needed. He created a program specifically tailored to my wants and needs and if anything needed to be adjusted he would do so accordingly based on my feedback. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable of fitness (with his physiotherapy degree and powerlifting background) but He’s also extremely good at maintaining good communication and making sure he’s updated on how you’re doing with your progress. If you’re looking for someone to help you achieve your strength goals, rehabilitate an injury or just maintain good overall health and fitness than I couldn’t recommend Stephen more. Definitely a 5 star review from me.
