I
never
thought
I
would
be
stepping
foot
into
a
gym
before
the
sun
rises.
But
most
mornings
I
do
just
that
–
because
I’m
excited
and
anxious
to
see
what’s
in
store.
Coming
from
a
traditional
(school)
gym
where
I
often
planned
my
workouts
around
what
equipment
was
available
and
loafed
around
between
sets,
the
programming
and
variety
of
equipment
at
UV
has
allowed
me
to
develop
a
daily
routine
and
see
progress.
The
community
is
heart
of
UV.
We’re
just
everyday
people
who
are
looking
to
improve
our
physical
fitness
and
have
a
grand
old
time
while
doing
it
and
becoming
the
closest
of
friends.
It
doesn’t
matter
if
you
were
sculpted
from
Zeus’
himself
or
feel
like
Jabba
the
Hutt
–
the
workouts
are
scaled
to
what
you
find
challenging.
This
is
what
keeps
us
coming
back
every
day
and
sticking
around
way
after
class
has
ended.
The
staff
is
incredibly
adept
at
understanding
each
member’s
physical
capabilities.
During
my
first
trial
class,
Fergus
immediately
noticed
my
underdeveloped
mobility
/
flexibility
and
suggested
I
leave
my
Romaleos
behind
until
we
saw
an
improvement
with
ankle
flexibility.
This
is
something
I
have
committed
to
addressing
each
day
(with
his
guidance)
through
specific
pre/post
workout
stretches
and
ROMWOD
(aka
aggressive
yoga).
That
being
said,
the
staff
treats
everyone
with
the
same
level
of
attentiveness
and
enthusiasm,
regardless
of
your
relation
to
them
(e.g.
fiancé,
share
the
same
weird
accent,
first
time
drop-in).
Finally,
Fergus
is
always
finding
ways
to
improve
the
gym.
He
pays
attention
to
what
the
members
want
and
tries
his
best
to
make
it
happen
(i.e.
more
rollers,
voting
on
new
cardio
equipment,
new
class
times
based
on
demand,
tailored
post-workout
stretches).
