An eczema like rash presented on my arms and face and just to be sure I went to get checked out. The doctor walked in, looked at the rash and immediately started writing a prescription without even saying a word. I began to share some medical history with him and he shook his head telling me those things I mentioned aren’t related as he walked away. He went right into the next patient and I stood by the nurses station so I could ask questions. Am I contagious? What could this be? Am I able to go into work (I work in childcare), and is what he prescribed safe to use with the current medication I am on. His annoyance was apparent once he saw I was still there. But I asked anyways because I needed answers which he gave my shaking his head. Thank God the pharmacist was able to provide me with more clarity on what could be happening. I had to go see another doctor who was much more thorough and caring with providing me with definitive answers about what was happening in my body. The male doctor at the office is RUSHING through these visits as if his goal is “to see the most patients”. He doesn’t seem to care about the patients well - being and certainly doesn’t take the time to correctly assess you to make sure he’s providing you with correct information. DO NOT GO HERE. You’ll leave more confused and worried then when you went in.

These doctors don't really care about your well being, they're just trying to get paid. While you're waiting, you can hear them talking forever to each other about random stuff just wasting everyone's time. When they come to see you they barely do a proper checkup and again, do the bare minimum to speed things up so they can go back to talking or see the next patient. I had a severely sprained ankle for which I was simply told to take Advil, no x-ray no ultrasound not even a check to see if my foot was alright. From now on I only go to my family doctor and I highly recommend others to as well. Walk-in clinics have essentially become scam centers for incompetent doctors to rip off innocent patients.

This is definitely my go-to because it's open almost everyday of the year. Go early if you want to wait less. They also have a quick strep test whereas most other clinics require you to wait 2 days for results.

The assistance or student people that come in and take your assessment, the way that they speak about Patients is disgusting. I overheard 3 of them speaking and could not believe what they were saying. That it totally unacceptable when you are expecting the patients to be respectable and they are rude as ever… the one in the lilac hijab to the right of the one in the middle. She should not work with helping anyone. Very disgusting.

This place should NOT be call an 'Urgent Care Center'. I went on Tuesday as my ear had bled badly on my Pellow that night as I accidentally pocked a Q-tip after a shower. I saw Dr. Taghaddos. Not sure if the 'Dr' should be in front of his name. This guy looked at my ear for about 3 SECONDS, and said it ear wax!!! I tried to say my pillow has a lot of blood and he did NOT want to listen. He said EAR WAX, put olive oil or miniral oil and come back next week and he will flush it out. WHAT!!! I tried to tell him that my ear and jaw area is hurting and I think its getting infected. I could not finish as he left the room. When I Walking out the room the young guy that escorted me in said bye, and the doctor was standing there and I said, 'doctor I have blood' I could not even finish the sentence and he said this in an angry voice " I AM NOT TELL YOU AGAIN, IT'S EAR WAX". Thanks to God I got an appointment with another walk in clinic and that doctor said there is a lot of dried blood and gave me the appropriate antibiotic drops. I am adding a picture of my pillow. I don't know what the owners of this place are hiring or doing but this will NOT be my last choice EVER!!! I told the other doctor what happened and he was surprised. Good luck if anyone ever goes!! What the other reviews are saying is correct. They just want you health card number. I am planning to complain to the health department also. I guess he does not know the difference between blood and ear wax!!

I went here for back pain & abdomen pain 2 times. I was misdiagnosed both time and the male doctor Dr. Taghaddos guessed the wrong illness. First visit he said I might kidney stones and asked me to get an ultrasound done which he filled out the forms wrong. I had to go back to get the form fixed. Then a few months later I had the same symptoms and he said it is gal bladder issue which is wrong again. Both times he made me worry and I even quit my recent new job thinking I had gal bladder issues which cause my abdomen and back pain. He did not even exam me physically or check anything. I went to another family doctor a few days later in North York and she was way more thorough by doing a full physical exam on me. She told me it was just normal back pain, abdomen pain where I only need to go for physiotherapy, massages and do exercises etc to help relieve the pain. There was nothing wrong internal like no gal bladder, no kidney stones etc. Now I feel much better. Do not go to this clinic & trust the male doctor's diagnosis here. The male doctor here is not thorough at all, only does quick chat or examination etc. He will guess your diagnosis wrong most likely because he is doing such a rush job. Go to a real family doctor that doesn't do a rush job or go to emergency at Markham Stouffville Hospital instead. The doctors at emergency is much better and will do a blood test on you to rule out potential issues or at least do a thorough physical exam on you. I agree with all the bad and negative feedback. I had the same bad experience as everyone else giving these reviews here.

I went to this clinic in hopes to avoid a lengthy wait at the hospital but I regret it. I was there in the morning with a swollen face and ear. I thought it was an allergic reaction but allergy meds weren’t helping so I thought I had a severe ear infection. Doctor spent all of 2 minutes with me, didn’t look in my ear and just said ya it’s an allergic reaction and prescribed me meds. I got the meds and nothing was working. I was there first thing in the morning and by the end of that day, my face had doubled in size and I was in horrible pain. I ended up at the hospital and the doctor instantly looked at me and said you have a severe infection and required antibiotics, an anti inflammatory and a steroid to take down the pain and swelling. I was literally injected with all three prior to leaving the hospital because I was in such bad shape. I was totally misdiagnosed at this urgent care. Do not go here. The doctor is clearly not qualified to do his job and they spend no time with you. The front staff are nice but what does that matter if the doctor can’t even diagnose you properly. This clinic should be shut down considering all the reviews have similar complaints. They should be reported to public health for their incompetence. For anyone who would like to place a complaint, you can do so here: https://www.health.gov.on.ca/en/pro/programs/emergency_health/complaints_investigations.aspx

First time here was good, quick in and out.. Today there was a Asian nurse working who is extremely rude. She asked a few redundant questions that would've been on the doctors notes I thought would have been crossed reference. We are still waiting 30 mins later for the doctor to come check us while everyone else behind us in queue line already left. Just because she's having a bad day she needs to waste our time and not send the doctor? 🤷🏻‍♂️ As soon as I went out to the front desk asking what's wrong and if there is even a queue the doctor came to see us as it he did not even know we was there. The only thing that saved this review with a extra star 🌟 is Doctor Sherifein.. He is very courteous, quick and knowledgeable..

My pregnant wife has been coughing nonstop for past week and was afraid it might do harm to baby so we went here. Waiting over an hour and finally doctor comes in, checks on her for 45 seconds and tells her to just go home and rest and come back in A WEEK if it continues. I went to another walk in clinic the next day cause I really wanted to make sure there’s nothing going on and I didn’t trust the doctors advice. Thankfully, the other doctor said it was a mild virus and knew she had a bit of asthma so he prescribed her a puffer for emergency use. Honestly, the clinic is understaffed and I understand the doctor has a lot of patients to get through but still put a bit more care into your patients. But yeah it must be exhausting in there. Don’t go here if you looking for some quality care.

There is an empathetic aspect to health care and Dr.Taghaddos disregards it. Multiple reviews have already shared a similar experience: - I was not able to explain my sickness symptoms and experience (constantly interrupted and talked over) - After having my sickness disregarded, I explained that I am concerned for my health, and I was then rushed out of the room and told that I can not receive any treatments I highly encourage patients to seek a different doctor when visiting this clinic or to go to a different clinic in general, as your consultation with Dr.Taghaddos will be of no benefit to you and a waste of time

I have never written a bad review on here before but I really feel like I need to share my one and only experience at this clinic. I went here because I had fallen and needed x-rays to make sure nothing was broken. To my surprise, the male doc working at the time told me nothing was broken just by looking at me and said I didn't need x-rays. I had to push him to get them and as he wrote out the paper for them, told me to be careful because x-rays cause cancer... I have never felt more patronized and uncomfortable by a "medical professional" before.

Terrible experience. You will be seen more quickly than at other walk-in clinics but that's because the doctor will maybe give you 30 seconds and will have one foot out of the curtain the whole time. I was basically cut off mid-sentence two of the visits . Nobody ever took a full history of my symptoms or the treatments we tried. Nobody took a timeline. I went back finally to get my results, which were inconclusive, the doctor told me to drink cranberry juice and go home. Absolutely no treatment plan was provided. No pain management was provided. Just go home and suffer and go to an ER if it's bad again. Which it will be, because I still had an active infection that they were unable or unwilling to treat. Go anywhere else.

Front desk staff is great. Wait time and doctor is horrible!! Waited a good 30-45min to have this male dr see my baby girl (9month - fever, coughing, runny nose) for 10 seconds! Legit just listened to her lungs and looked at her ears. Didn't bother checking anything else. We were dismissed. I had to find him to ask if I should be concerned of her hacking cough. She lost her voice. Don't bother going here if you can get in to see your GP or pediatrician.

I've had to visit this clinic many times over the years, and I often go outta my way to go. My experience is different than what many have written. Wait times are pretty reasonable considering it is a walk in, and it's always busy. The staff are friendly, and all the doctors I've had have been helpful, listen to my concerns, and prescribed medication as necessary. I highly recommend this clinic.

The worst urgent care clinic possible. Horrible staff and horrible doctor. They have countless patients coming in every few minutes and they have 1 doctor to attend them all. The wait time is absolutely ridiculous, patients are in so much pain and they have to spend a minimum of 1 hour in the waiting room only for the doctor to spend about 2 minutes looking at them. The doctor they currently have working is in such a hurry to get out of the room. He barely spends any time looking at the patient, so it doesn’t even make sense as to why the line isn’t progressing. They have so many highschool students working the front desk and no actual nurse working the front desk. I just don’t understand how 1 doctor could be working on Christmas weekend. Horrible clinic.

I came to this walk in as nothing else was open. Everyone was nice and courteous. However the DR advised I had a virus so nothing they could do. I saw my family dr 2 days later as my symptoms were the same or worse. Turns out I had double ear infection and throat infection and needed antibiotics along with some other prescriptions for pain.

If you need help, Markham Stouffville Urgent Care Clinic is the place to go! The reception ALWAYS provides me with accurate/honest information. They never fail to be compassionate with me and the doctors, no matter the circumstances, will always be there to provide the best medical care possible! The negative reviews are from peevish people who clearly think this clinic is meant to only serve them! Anyone with an actual chronic condition understands how much this clinic has to deal with, yet they still strive to provide the best care to their ability! If you are in need of medical care, this clinic is the right choice!

Went here for a sports injury. I don't usually go to this urgent care clinic but my usual clinic was closed. The injury is pretty severe as I can't walk, drive, or sleep. My entire hamstring is bruised, black and blue from a strain. The first visit to get my requisition for imaging, the doctor mocked me when I explained what happened. Me: I was running trying to catch a ball when I stepped in a hole and... Doctor (interrupting and mocking): You fell in a hole buddy?!? For my second visit, to get my results, another doctor was backing out of the room as I asked questions about symptoms I was having. I wanted to make sure that they are consistent with the diagnosis. The "if it continues in 4-6 weeks you can follow up with your doctor" answer is very annoying since I have not fully explained my symptoms. I don't want to wait a month and a half to find out that something has gone undiagnosed because the doctor was not listening or didn't hear the entire story. I must have spent less than 5 min total with both doctors. Neither doctor has physically seen how my hamstring looks, listened to the full list of symptoms I've been having, or shown any empathy. More, if the results of my ultrasound were negative for tears etc. I'd have loved to simply have received a phone call. Like I said, it hurts to drive, and so travelling to the clinic is onerous. I don't see why I needed to come for a second visit just to be rushed out. Physical activity is a part of my job, and how I manage mental health. I can't afford such a flippant diagnosis, so I will be getting a third opinion from a doctor who will hopefully listen to the whole story. I was at least able to get my requisition for imaging. Front end staff was great, facility is in decent shape and clean. 2 stars

We have been here 3 weekends in a row for our kids and the wait has been much shorter than the hospital ER or other walk ins. Yes, the doctors were quick, but still polite and correct in their diagnosis. I didn't mind because I didn't have much to say or ask either. I had done my research on Google prior to arriving. I was just glad that this place was open on a Sunday so we could get the required prescriptions for our children and help them feel better sooner rather than later.

eye was itchy when I woke up in the morning and got a bit swollen in the afternoon. I felt so blessed that there's a walk in clinic open until 8pm in my neighbourhood, so that I was able to see the doctor immediately at night and get the prescribe eye cream right away. The only thing that I wasn't happy about is the doctor was in a rush to see next client so he didn't let me know what's happened to my eye. He just quickly used the light to check my eye, said, "your eye has a mild infection, put this cream on." and was rush to leave. so I don't know what kind of infection it was and if it's contagious.

There’s many negative reviews on here but from my experience I was looked after very well with Dr. Babak Sharifian. I have never had such patient centred care and continuity of care until I came across this doctor. After not having a GP for almost 3 years, I had a very detailed general check up. He listened to my every concern and my long list of family history. He sent me for blood test and ECG. He followed up with additional blood tests and ultrasounds. Once that came back abnormal, he told me I would have to see a specialist. He promised me to rush my referral and I was able to talk to my specialist within a week. If you need care, please go here and request to see Dr. Babak Sharifian. The other doctor… Dr. Taghaddos will NOT give you the time of day no matter what concern you have. I have seen him twice and both times he was with me for less than 3 minutes! I would have docked a star but I don’t want to because 5 stars reflects Dr. Sharifian’s beside manner and knowledge in medicine.

Pure gross experience. My mother went to get an X-ray of her injured foot, and went to this clinic after to get results. It was a busy clinic, and she went to the desk to ask about how long it would possibly be. The nice secretary was going to let her know there wasn’t a wait time but a rude employee who wasn’t even involved started directly yelling at her and screaming about how there was no wait times. She continued to yell even after my mother asked her not to yell and mentioned it was rude. Never letting her go to this trash clinic. The employee should be fired, they yelled at a pregnant women ahead in line saying they didn’t care she was in pain and to “do whatever you want”. This person should not be allowed to work in the medical field if you don’t even give a care about your patients. The employee was a medium hight, white, brown-haired women. Fire her. Never go to this clinic.

I went there on Thanksgiving. There was many doctors working so I was seen within 20 minutes. The service was very fast, as was the interaction with the doctor. The interaction felt very rushed, but I got an answer and didn’t wait long for it. The staff there was fine, but this black nurse who’s name I didn’t catch was unbelievably sweet, professional, caring. She made the experience worth it.

In total my visit took 1.5 hours, not that bad for a walk-in? Went on Wednesday morning at around 10 AM. I just needed an Ear Flush and a lot of time was spent just waiting for the Dr. Once he came in our talk was super quick which was fine since I already knew what I wanted and it was confirmed that it wasn't an ear infection just wax buildup. Staff were polite, felt bad for the receptionist cause when I came out to pay the ear flush fee (just $30 per ear) she was doing double duty by also being the person to call out names and bring them to the rooms, so bumped up the rating to 5. Anyways come here if you know exactly what you want or you know what the problem is (or at least have a very good idea). Clinic seems to be designed for relativity quick service, they want people in-and-out. If you're looking for something very thorough this might not be for you

Not sure why people are giving bad reviews, it’s URGENT care not a doctor’s office. My son had an allergic reaction which we never experienced, The male doctor gave us quick and accurate diagnosis. Also wait time is faster than anything — in and out within 30minutes.

Waited for a follow up while I heard 3 other patients, prior to me in line, receive their check up, then follow up, as I still had to wait for my own. Walked out of the room after waiting a whole half hour to receive my strep results as it seemed the staff were more concerned with complaining about disorganization than checking up on a patient that should have been dismissed long ago. Absolute mess of a clinic and should only be visited if the only option (which it seems to be amidst the covid disaster).

Deana, a new young receptionist gave me the wrong info over the phone, denied me access to health care and was very immature and rude. I was trying to get through to the phone lines all day. She never answers the phone. When she picked up I asked her if the doctor could give me a call later because I had covid. She told me rudely that doctors don’t call patients. Then she started talking about some medical note on my file before even getting my full name and proper info. She did not verify patient information first. She breached privacy and confidentiality. Very rude and unprofessional.

I recently visited this clinic and saw Dr. Sharifian. He was absolutely amazing. He was extremely patient and knowledgeable. He made sure I was comfortable at all times, before my procedure and took the upmost care. I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Sharifian if you plan to visit this clinic.

Had good experience here in the past, but today I called ahead because I am showing covid positive on tests, though health811 told me that if my fever is below 100.4F I am not infectious, though I may show positive on rapid tests for up to 3 months. But I need to see a doctor due to length of my illness, I called and explained this, and was told that I would be able to be seen, as long as I wear a mask. Drove out 30min to see them, because everywhere else I checked would not see me in person, and when I got there I was told that I will not be seen at all, and that I would need to leave. I do not mind not being seen because I am covid positive, but being told I would be seen, and then being refused when I show up is beyond frustrating. Please, please, please be on the same page in the future.

Nurse Alexys and Dr. Sharifian were incredible tonight. Greatest clinic experience. Alexys was very kind and gentle. Even though it was crazy busy she was calm and made my boyfriend and I feel like her biggest priority which can be hard to find with some clinics. Dr Sharifian listened to all our concerns and helped more than we anticipated. You guys were a great duo to deal with. I can’t thank you enough.

DO NOT GO HERE. absolute garbage. The front desk staff are nice enough, the wait is fine and expected of any walk in clinics. But the doctor is terrible. Brought my 7 month old baby who was feverish, coughing, not drinking milk, and was obviously unwell. The doctor spent a few seconds to listen to lungs, looked at ears and then spent one more second to look at the throat. He was so fast I don't think he could have possibly actually looked at the throat. The next day we went to my baby's pediatrician who is an angel... She heard wheezing in the lungs, a little faster than usual heartbeat and tested for strep throat, which was positive. If the garbage doctor even spent a few more seconds on his patients and actually looked with his eyes, maybe he would also have thought to test for strep. He told me I didn't need to go back unless my baby was having difficulty breathing and lips turning blue. For real??? If his lips were turning blue I would be calling an ambulance!

They say it’s first come first serve. I arrived before opening and they let countless people that were behind me go first. Finally I overheard another waiting patient complaining that he was there before the others being let in, I heard them apologize and admit that they misplaced his printed off form and that he can go next. I too then checked to see what was the hold up, and they admitted they had left my printed form in the printer so I was overlooked. Is it that hard to take a printed sheet and attach it to a clipboard to maintain the proper order for patients being seen? These teenagers running the front desk are disorganized and immature, I wouldn’t trust them to run a drive-thru at McDonald’s. The nurse and doctor were professional and fast, the kids at the front should be fired.
