Overall a very mediocre place. I would not personally go again. The food was very bland and quite unseasoned and low quality. It tasted like it was reheated rather than cooked for our order. On top of that we had to wait ages for it to arrive. 45 mins to be more precise. The tea wasn’t one of the best we had in Morroco either. The place itself is a mix of modern and old style and doesn’t have much taste in terms of decor or atmosphere. They sell it to be more than it is. The service was okey, but we had to call staff over every time as no one would come and check on us on their own unfortunately. They accept card so the payment process was quite easy. The total for out food was 400-500 dirham and I had a massive belly ache after for the rest of the day. I’m assuming the food was not fresh at all. Also, it had no spice or taste to it either. I wouldn’t recommend going there. If you want to have some nice food in Morroco go further from the centre. Your chances are better of eating something authentic and delicious.

Just go somewhere else. This is a place where you just pay extra for the location. Service was bad. Nobody will even notice you. I ordered light tea withour mint they gave me the heaviest tea with mint i had so far in Morocco. I ordered water at room temperature gave me freezing water. Even the nice view of the market i didnt get it so i dont know what I am paying for

!!!!! Best view and restaurant for ♿ and other reduced mobility persons! Elevator direct to the spectacular 2 terraces! Thank you so much, Argana restaurant team! I made a reservation for a specific time and the table with the "best view"...We were not sure, if this will be possible ...but what else can I say...: Trust this team :-) My daughter and I had a wonderful evening with really good food and this wonderful view! Magic Marrakesh! ...by the way...Absolut clean restrooms, also for ♿ ! This is quite unique in the old Medina...

Nice coffee shop with a good view - just a fan is missing due to the heat. All in all it’s nice to relax there.

We were here yesterday and we ordered 6 lamb tagines and 1 cheese burger and mojitos, pina colados. The lamb was tender and succulent cooked to perfection. The service was really good. Lovely people and lovely atmosphere overlooking the jma Al fanaa. The door host was really kind. One of our friends shoe broke and upon realising he immediately sent somone out to have it fixed on the spot. Thank you for a memorable evening.

Very touristy but worth it for the view of the square. Perhaps better for an afternoon drink rather than dinner. Although the food is nice it’s at the higher end of what you expect to pay in Marrakech and the portions are small (make sure you order a side with the tagine)

It is a good place for having a panoramic view of Jamaa lefna square, the prices are not so expensive, I forgot about the prices but we took mojhito for 39 dh (3.9$)

One star for the hot chocolate plus one for the view. Cheesecake tastes like rubber, so sent back. Didn’t charge us but very grumpy manager. Don’t bother.

Dinner at sunset. Front row table. Obviously you get a great view of the square. The service was very good. The staff very friendly. We shared dishes Tapas style. Veg couscous, mixed grill meat, mixed grill vegetables, salad, etc. Nice enough. Stopped by in the afternoon to make reservation and requested specific table. End table to the left as you enter.

If you’re looking for a panoramic view of Jemaa el-Fnaa this is the place. You can enjoy the afternoon tea and watch the sunset. But the food is NOT recommended and the service is VERY BAD. It took us for a while until the waiter serve us. We ordered the smoke salmon spaghetti and beef burger. The salmon is not fresh and the burger is very dry. We could enjoy our food, we just wasted our money. Also, the price is expensive, you find better restaurants around old Madina with that kind of prices.

We went for 3 days for dinner. It really I can say, depends which waiter is serving you. One day we got menus in 5 min, other 2 days in 25 min. Place was busy like usual. All 3 days was different waiter serving us. We went for 3 days for dinner. Nice clean interior, food is good, just the Tagine and couscous is lacking Spices and salt. But the Mixed grill meat was delicious. Pasta Bolognese, had too much Garlic on top I think, just I don't know is the way like that here, but yeah, way to much. Nice desert, also the small cookies on ground floor. But I would come back again.

I don't recommend eating ice cream inside. If you eat inside, you pay 49 dirhams for two scoops, and if you go outside, you pay 20 dirhams. This restaurant is not fair and if you have the choice choose another one. Here I felt stolen!

The food was lovely, as was the presentation, as our first time eating Moroccan cuisine. We ordered the lamb couscous, avocado and shrimp salad, the beef tajine and three drinks. Our server was super friendly, and he offered to take a picture for us in front of the spectacular view of the nighttime Marrakesh. We had a window seat, an open air balcony enjoying our food along with the view.

Overrated. We had drinks and some dessert, just a break. We had a table at the second floor, the airco is not working properly. Salade Niçoise was not Niçoise but some tuna, ansjovis with veggies. The mojito were ok. To be honest 400dh is too much. Thanks to the tourism the prices are to high. Although the service was very good, but yet I will not come back.

Overall, it is a decent place, not too extravagant or grand. We opted to visit considering it has one of the best views of the market from the roof. It is an extremely busy place, and thus, food quality and service reflect the sluggishness in quality. You will be all right if you are not expecting much.

Great flavorful food and absolutely excellent service. The tagine was so tasty especially the chicken. They have 3 floors but views are great from the terrace. The orange juice is freshly squeezed and tastes like heaven. Menus are confusing so note that there are certain things only offered at certain times (ex crepes only during breakfast). Overall, absolutely recommend this place!

A three-storey place with a view of the main square of Marrakech. Very good coffee. Cookies are even better. In my opinion cheap!

If you want to avoid the being hassled by stall holders at the night markets but still want authentic food. This is the place for with a view for you! Exceptional service from start to finish, tasty food, ordered lamb tagine, beef tanjir, chicken burgers and fries, variety of mojitos, desserts were amazing too! Would definitely recommend.

I wouldn't recommend the tajine there specialy the meatballs one, the worse tajine for my whole experience in Morroco, same time the most expensive compared to the rest I tried. I was told that they may use different herbs, which make sense but doesn't make me feel better that we left 3 times more money and I left mine dish. The bread also was not so good, tea as well ( only compare taste of same food and drinks to the other places where we tried) 😕Anyway the watter was extremely polite and I can say anything bad about service.

Food: went for a simple dessert to take a break while walking through the Medina. Ordered an ice dessert, tiramisu, crème brulee and salade nicoise. The salad is not what I am used to. Maybe it is made different in Marrakech style but for me it was too cold and not made with fresh herbs. So the salad gets a 2/10. Ice dessert: the sorbet was too frozen but the rest was okay. I give it a 4/10. The crème brulee was actually pretty good. It had a Moroccan touch to it. 7/10. My sister did not enjoy her tiramisu but I did. The raw egg taste was still somewhat noticeable but surprisingly not disturbing. I am aware that it’s not even close to the original tiramisu recipe or taste but I enjoyed it. 5/10 (but do not order if you expect the italian recipe). Furthermore the price: not worth it, considering some houseworkers earn only 150 dirham per day. The quality is not worth the price. Atmosphere: the foremost advantage is the location. It provides you the the oppurtunity to escape the busy Djemaa Lfna. Service: waiter was friendly and helpful. Tip: if you really want to enjoy something Beldi - meaning traditional - go to one of Riads hidden within the old medina. Conclusion: good enough for a quick stop and a drink but don’t expect too much.

Wow, just WOW! This place is amazing. After staying for a few days in Marrakech, I stopped by Argana after a long, hot day. I was instantly greeted with smiles and treated as family. My waiter, Nourrdine, was very kind, attentive, and respectful. He even helped me take a beautiful photo as a memento after seeing me struggle taking selfies for awhile 😂 I ordered a fresh orange juice, the Moroccan salad, and two large bottles of water. Everything was delicious! Also, I came here at night during the festival of arts, and the view was incredible. An unforgettable experience! Thank you/merci/shukran a thousand times, Argana!!

  • 4/5 Anonymous 4 years ago on Google
Traditional Moroccan food but a little more upscale for moreocan standards. Still cheap by North American standards. Like 200 cad will feed 7 people generously with mint tea, meals and some desert. Nice view overlooking the square, if you get a spot next to the edge. Food and service is good. The assorted veggie entrées is good and has quite a variety. If I would suggest anything, it would also be the chicken tanjine, the mixed meat dish and the pastilla. The salad is really nothing great, skip that one.

While the dinner fell short in flavor, the redeeming factor was the captivating view from the first level of the restaurant adding a pleasant ambiance to the overall experience

Nice views from terrace. Attentive staff. Great food presentation. Unfortunately lamb was overcooked in my dish (lamb chops) and my friend's couscous tagine.

Great views of the sunset and the square from the balcony. Food was great and reasonable. We had starters and mains which all arrived together - but we were at a window table, which are quick to turn around

Great location, great food. Servers were very polite. We had an unfortunate incident and team handled very professionally. Working in hospitality industry, I apreciate little gestures and genuine recovery efforts. Menu has a lot to offer. From fresh pressed juice to Moroccan to French Cuisine. Very modern setup and comfortable seating throughout. We had lunch and it seeös like we made the best choice compared to other restaurants in the area.

One of the most popular restaurants in the Jemaa el-Fnaa market. The food was great and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The Argana has amazing views of the market and it's a perfect place to relax and unwind with a delicious meal after a long day of shopping in the market.

Our local guide sent us here because we desperately wanted Italian food. This is not an Italian restaurant but it serves pastas and there’s a killer view from the terrace and the staff are helpful. Since it was right at the square, I really thought it would be costly but we averaged around €15 with desert and drinks on top of the main course. Will definitely come back here again!

Alert this is a tourist trap 🚨🚨 I went there with a visiting friend for the first time in marrakesh, we ordered a vegan tajin and a lamb tajin and we tried the sweet pastilla, The food was horrible badly cooked, the olives tasted moldy and the salad was very bitter, and the vegan tajin was half cooked, and the whole thing was way too overpriced. We notified the waiter and we got to talk to one of the managers about the bad food and there reaction was very rude and mean mettrait if you do t like don’t eat it, we spent in total 60 euros and we didn’t eat almost anything of the 2 meals at all. Avoid the place at all cost this is clearly not a serious business.

I have never been more compelled to write review than for this restaurant. And it is while I am still eating here. The service is atrocious. For example - I am a diabetic, I never ever in my life have ordered a regular coke. I ordered a Coke Zero and was given a regular coke. I drank one sip and knew it was wrong. My blood sugar will jump to a high I was not expecting. I told my server, and he made a face and then sighed and brought over a zero coke. The food service past that point was as if I am eating for free on the house. And they treat solo diners very bad. You are important if you are in a group or with someone else. As tables emptied I asked to be moved three times. Three times they told me others who were ALREADY DINING there had the tables reserved. However they had walked in after me. Seems like what’s important here is only how much a group will be spending. And based on that you have service

Excellent and wonderful restaurant A privileged panoramic view of the famous Jemaa El Fna Square and the historic Koutoubia Mosque The view is beautiful during the day and at night Good service and good customer service Smiling servants of the restaurant. The price is a bit high, but in proportion to the place and the panoramic view. Authentic, excellent and delicious Moroccan dishes A restaurant that I recommend visiting and tasting its dishes and drinks
