At a recent McDonald's Sydney Gateway visit, I placed an order for a double cheeseburger meal and a Big Mac. My experience was mediocre overall, having both good and bad parts. On the plus side, the double cheeseburger was delicious. The cheese melted wonderfully, and the patties were tasty and juicy. The dish was nicely complemented with the hot and crunchy fries. The staff personnel were also pleasant and smiled as they welcomed me. I did, however, experience a few letdowns while there. The distinctive flavour and presentation of the Big Mac were lacking. The sauce wasn't as tasty as usual, and the burger seemed a little bit dry. This departure from the norm was disappointing. In addition, the restaurant was a little noisy, which made it difficult to enjoy a leisurely meal. The overall level of service at McDonald's Sydney Gateway was satisfactory despite these difficulties. It might provide an even better dining experience for its consumers with a few tweaks to the Big Mac recipe and the setting of the restaurant. Giving it a try is something I would advise, but be aware of potential flavour and noise irregularities.

Very crowded and congested outlet. The crowds flock because of its location in the touristy part of the city. Service is slow. Tables are not cleared and cleaned till someone requests. Food is the regular Maccas food, nothing special or worth mentioning. Step in only if no other option is available.

19/02/23: Horrible service. Girls were also unaware of how to open/ use the whipped cream, asking around. Unprofessional and rude, directing us to colleagues after colleagues as they were unsure of anything at all.

Yeah my chicken and cheese had half a slice of cheese in it. If you don’t have the cheese don’t sell it. Really dropped the ball here. It was so bad without the cheese.

Waited 30 mins and they got most of my order wrong. I didn't recieve one of my burgers, ketchup and they only gave my sister 1 FRY in her happy meal. Worst experience I have had with Maccas.

2 young kids stole my wallet and bought a fat meal for themselves. One of the managers, Michelle, helped me find the young kleptomanics by looking up the transaction they made with my card and checking the camera's. Thank you so much Michelle!

What the hell here? Disgusting seriously. It is Very poor food safety. I would never come back

Food was as good as always as well as attention from waitresses. But there were sea gulls all around the place, and they attacked people outside! We came inside do we could eat without disturbances, and there were pigeons inside walking over the tables and nobody did anything to get them out. Completely disgusting and unhygienic.

Was served colder than room temperature food, I'm not even sure how you do that. No human based customer service so flagging a manager was hard. When a teenager not wearing a maccas uniform asked "what's your problem?" Claimed to be a manager proceeds to tell me there is nothing wrong with my food without even looking at it. Not all nova hires are made equal.

Ordered $115 worth of food for kids and the manager treated us like we were lying about the staff not including nuggets and a burger. I was so poorly managed that my brother wanted to crack him up. Made us wait until our food was cold. It discusses me how a manager handled the situation. Staff should be trained how to cross off items so they don’t get these issues anymore. Not one more from this joint.

Worst McDonalds ever! Staff don’t care about their customers. Fri 28 July at 9.30pm, not overly busy, some gross customer spat while talking, onto my sons hand so I wanted him to wash his hands before eating. No bathrooms in this McDonald’s and they had just ONE hand sanitiser machine and it was empty, I asked for more sanitiser and they just shrugged their shoulders and said “it’s empty”. Number called for food collection and they gave us half our order, asked where the rest was and they said they do ice creams first then food and drinks. 60secs later the food was ready! Tables dirty. Cup had drink spilt all over it when given to us. Would not recommend going here to anyone

What can I say. A breakfast bap which had been sitting around and closer to a dehydrated mummy wrapping than food. The bacon was so dry and thin it could easily have been recycled as wrapping. The egg was tough. Unusual. The lot were sat on two thin patties that were dripping with yellow fat which formed interesting stalagmites on the unattended tables. Luckily the pigeons were there to clean up. To hid the crime of this the operator had taken 2 actions- first he had added an extra hashbrown below the top bun smeared with saturated dairy fat to enhance the flavour of the additional oil, then the coup-de-grace he had used burnt coffee to kill any taste buds that were still clinging to life. Macds is usually reliable but this place at circular quay was an unmitigated disgrace. Unbelieveable that they could serve up yesterdays food. Disgusted with you boys. McD Australia? Dont know who you are but you should change the name before you besmirch the global brand. Stick with ozzie brands folks the big yellow arch is not what it used to be.

Trash was everywhere,tables weren’t clean. They messed up my order.

This girl named Sonam, who served me, was so nice and helpful when I didn’t have enough money. I bought a hamburger and a small fries for my husband and bought myself a free seniors cappuccino. I wanted to buy a coconut loaf for myself but didn't have enough money and the young lady offered to buy it for me. This made my day and I will be coming again.

I always see that one short blue hair crew trainer work do all the work while other crew are just hanging out. She is very polite even on busy brunch times and makes great coffee for me on Monday mornings. I asked for her name since she didn’t have a name tag so I can tell the manager about her the next time I go in but she jokingly said “guess” and never actually told me LOL.

me and my two kids were there today and my little one was on pram, this afternoon around 12.30 pm, he must be the manager wearing a white top, couldn’t notice the name but was very kind and helpful as he helped me with my pram and help assist me with my order without any hassle. i know it was a very busy time , people were on queue too but still thank you once again for toady

Yummy snakes, tasty Burgers, can eat in a open atmosphere. Sometimes too rush most recommended for take away.

Gave me and my father (who I hasn’t been sick in years) the most violent food poisoning. After I had just travelled all through Asia for months and never got sick McDonalds put a nail in the coffin and ruined my day. Also they were going to refuse me a water cup later in the day when I came back to let them know until I told them I ordered earlier. I did let the manager know that the food made me sick and he comped me a soda and offered a meal but it’s the same rancid oil. Would have been happy with a refund for my trouble. I’m traumatized by McDonalds and probably will never eat this unhealthy food again (I used to order it all the time for quick breakfast).

An slightly below average coffee, a little too hot to drink which implies the barista hasn’t been trained properly.

Slow service and incompetent workers. Didn’t notify the customer when an order couldn’t be fulfilled. Such slow reaction with minimal capacity as a FAST food worker.

I visit Mc Donalds in every country, just to try and see what they offer, and I realized burger in the Sydney area are not as great like the U.S., but it's not bad, still decent price, something to satisfy hunger

If you see a tonne of people hovering around Maccas here, avoid it like the plague! This store gets so incredibly busy during key events such as Vivid that you end up fighting for some air space to exist in the store while waiting for your number to be called out. On the floor is spilt drinks and remnants of food. It's a mess at best! If you decide to brave the crowds and can breathe air through a straw, then don't expect the food you receive to be gourmet quality. The food will sustain you at best, that's all. Other times, this store is great. Well positioned opposite the light rail stop and Circular Quay train station. There are a couple of very small tables inside and some tables outside. If you choose to sit outside, be warned that the seagulls like to swoop for your food!

The food here is alright but I am dissapointed with the amount of things on each burger. They are out of coke zero?? How?? For instance in my cheese burger, i had 2 small slices of pickles in the middle, and there was barely any onion, like literally barely anything. The atmosphere is not that great, there are birds everywhere, staff aren't the kindest, half self serving machines are not working.. overall bad

McDonald's food, is the same, worldwide...5 stars. This particular venue was filthy. Maybe, because it was after midnight, though, not an excuse. The tabletops were littered with customers leftovers, as was the floor. ESPECIALLY, outside the venue. The management team, should be more attentive to what's happening in the restaurant, not only behind the counter. This is why I was generous to give 2stars.

Shocking customer service. Hour wait for food, don't even tell people, they just let people order without letting them know about the long wait. Wouldn't it be wise to tell people before they order? A simple announcement every five mins would suffice by the manager

Small seating area, but very close to Circular Quay so plenty of areas to sit elsewhere on a good day. Only ordered ice creams, but they seemed to have been forgotten because it took a long time in our case for the order to arrive. Prices very good for ice cream

I get my lunch here everyday and the sellen is always fresh but if you want to dint some of their poldy crebs you should go in the afternoon

Understaffed. One stressed employee doing all the work during rush hour. People were walking out After ordering as nobody could serve the till, compounding the employees extra work trying to fulfil ghost orders.

Terrible service, lack of communication with customers about their order, followed by smart arse comments for a customer to make the order themselves. If I could give zero stars I would! Train them better!!! Also shop is filthy and needs someone on the floor to clean up!!

Since you’re unable to order dinner boxes from the self service kiosks, I decided for once that I might just get my order taken by a worker. I approach this man at the counter, I ask for a dinner box where I wanted to upgrade some of my burgers. This man tells me that he might not be able to do it. However, as a fellow McDonald’s employee I am aware of the fact that burgers are allowed to be upgraded. I politely let this man know that there should be an option. He suddenly snaps in a nasty tone “I’ve been working at Maccas for many years, I know how to do my job.” I was very appalled with this behaviour, as I had asked him politely. While as an already Maccas employee, I was confused as to why he spoke like this as it definitely did not meet customer service requirements. He ended up finding the option which was a relief. But then I never thought to feel disrespected by a worker, though he must of had a bad day that’s why he must’ve been at such outrage at the time. Everyone has their bad days, but there is no excuse to yell at teenagers who just politely give suggestions. Especially when they have had “many years” of experience. Other than that the food was quickly made and packed nicely but please, don’t try scaring your customers away!

My burger was a little undercooked but okay, it’s Maccas I don’t expect amazing quality - but purchased two creme brûlée pies & we found out they were apple pies (my wife & I both despise apple pie). Already on a moving train when we found out, we could do nothing about it. Poor. This was late at night so it’s not like the staff were busy, either.

After a horrible $65 lunch at a near by cafe. I ordered my daughter a meal and the new creme brulee apple pie. Every time I go there the service is quick and the food always hot. I ordered a caramel latte with almond milk it was hot and not bad for a Macca's coffee better that the one I left at the Oven baked cafe 🫣

Regarding today order I order large meal but i got only medium meal as well as i have order chocolate shake but they told me that it is not available but i wasnot consider for extra payment i paid to swap. Still i would like to do good review for hard work during night time hope things will be changed in the days to come Thank you

McDonald's convenient to Circular Quay. Normally ok, but standards and quality can vary.

waited 20 minutes for a coffee and toastie. Had to ask two seperate employees if my toastie was getting made. After 20 minutes of waiting and missing 3 busses i opened the bag to a barley cooked toasted sandwich. very disappointing

Super busy branch but we got our order within reasonable time. Need more staff to clean used tables as some are quite dirty. We only ordered coffee and they are good.
