Food was surprisingly delicious. Great view on the rooftop floor featuring a bar with plenty of alcohol. Staff are polite and respectful. Overall a great place for work Christmas parties and functions, or just a night out with friends. The rooftop level is usually booked out for dinner so it’s best to call and book a table first for your group.

The view from rooftop bar is amazing but it’s hard to find a table most of the time. Food isn’t bad with a wide variety. I had their burger. Pretty well cooked. Middle floor has some private rooms for a more private evening. My friend said they like their cocktails.

Asked for a cocktail menu at the rooftop bar and was told there isn't one and I need to go downstairs to order one. Seeing an impressive spread of liquor behind the bar, I asked the bartender if she could make me something with whiskey and a little fruity. She said no, it doesn't work like that and I need to get a cocktail downstairs. Why is there liquor upstairs if I needed to go stand in the 40* second floor to get a drink?

We had heard about this place from friends. And we were visiting for Christmas and new year from the UK we decided to book it. And we were not disappointed. The venue itself from the outside is exactly what us “poms” imagine and Australian pub to look like. We had tickets for the rooftop for New Year’s Eve. Our ticket was all inclusive. And the food and drink were plentiful. The views spectacular. And the staff are some of the best we have experienced whilst in Sydney. Overall we have found that there is a distinct lack of customer service in Australia but the staff at the glenmore are the exception. Highly motivated and def customer focused. We would highly recommend this place for NYE but would suggest you buy your tickets early, we bought ours late September 2019. The tickets are digital so it doesn’t matter where you are in the world.

A lunch at the rooftop of the Glenmore Hotel, the Rocks, was what we were looking forward to, after a Harbour Bridge walk, from Milsons Point to the Rocks. The Hotel has three levels plus a rooftop (going to the rooftop is not for people who has difficulty with narrow stairs). Food is mediocre, service is excellent, view from the rooftop is fantastic with a well-stocked bar where you can order your drinks or meals.

The Glenmore has a spacious rooftop bar and dining area with great views of Cicular Quay - certainly an highlight of this pub and makes it a popular venue on warm, sunny afternoons. But be aware the stairs to the rooftop are steep and narrow - not suitable for those with mobility problems; but there are ground floor and street side dining alternatives.

Awesome place!! The best views from the rooftop bar for a cheeky drink and feed. It's often crowded on weekends, for obvious reasons but well worth the visit. Sit back with friends, or on your own and soak up Sydney's iconic Circular Quay and Opera House with unobstructed views, turn around and get the towering Sydney Harbour Bridge views. Considering the location the prices are ok (well at least were when I visited last).

We enjoyed dinner and drinks and watched the Sydney Harbour Bridge Fireworks on New years Eve ! Absolutely Spectacular light and sound show! The pub has good food and drinks and its got a friendly atmosphere and is very popular, we got a table outside undercover, so we watched the fireworks and the hordes of people running like bulls down to the Sydney Harbour Bridge to photograph the Skyrockets bursting in the sky and rain on their phones! the crowd was huge but well behaved, we felt safe. We never heard such a thunderous explosion in our lives - it's stunning to hear the fireworks going off on the Sydney Harbour Bridge so close to you! The view of the fireworks is impeded but the Thunderous Sound is something you have to hear to appreciate. Wow! It was raining but no one cared it was NYE! a Fantastic adventure. We have enjoyed the pub tour through the The Rocks, starting with the Russell Hotel, in near the museum on a weekend. But New years Eve was on another level! Highly recommended to stay in the Rocks to fully enjoy the event - we had unforgettable happy romantic adventure! I'll post a video so you can hear how awesome it is!

The Glenmore Hotel is known for its rooftop views of Circular Quay and the Opera House. Be sure to book ahead and request a table with these views as some of the rooftop tables overlook Cumberland Street. Food is the typical pub menu with steaks, burgers and schnitzel all featuring on the menu. I ordered the schnitzel and it was pretty good. Generous portion size and reasonable pub prices, especially considering the location. Soft drinks are also pretty reasonable at $3 each. There are various options for seating including outdoor on street level as well as inside and private dining options for occasions. The pub has maintained all its historical charm. It’s perfect for visitors to Sydney as well.

Had dinner on the rooftop with great views of Sydney. Menu has the usual pub food fare. Order at the bar, food was served quite quickly. Food quality and taste was fine. Servings average size. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff.

A seriously beautiful dinner, and view. I was travelling solo and was looking for a nice dinner, to push me out of my comfort zone. Well the food here was beautiful, the atmosphere was great, and the location? Superb. I cannot wait to come back here and share this space with family and friends. Thank you for a wonderful, delicious, dining experience!

Really cool pub with an amazing view of the harbour and the Opera House. There are lots of levels and rooms so it manages to feel cozy despite being quite large. We were on the rooftop which was very well heated and was really comfortable. Pretty typical pub fare on offer here.

I went back to The Glenmore. Thank you Lincoln for that. I love that place. It's a great spot to enjoy the beatiful harbour view and to have a great time as me an my partner had on Saturday. Awesome ambience this time matched with a wonderful meal. The roast lamb shoulder was exquisite. It will be always on of me favorites in Sydney. Compliments to the chef.

I believe its the team and service that makes a place great and enjoyable. The bar tenders Jeremy, Hugh and Jacobs were so friendly and helpful and absoutley made our night. They were all so upbeat, had great energy and were all so welcoming. Will definitely go back, Highly recommended.

Poor experience with dinner on a fairly quiet Sunday night. One of us ordered food which the kitchen advised was no longer available after purchase, and parts of the order were forgotten when exchanged. Getting a refund after dinner was harder than it should have been. I ordered the slow cooked lamb shoulder - most expensive dish on the menu, at the same price I would pay at a restaurant. Received the inside of a cold lamb pie. Mostly skin, gruel and gravy slop in a bowl. Took it back to the counter with a comment to kitchen. No apparent concern from the staff and no word from the kitchen. Would not recommend for anything past the view from the roof. Enjoy a good sunset over the CBD but eat elsewhere!

It has been a while..I forgot what a great little pub it is. We had a jug of lychee & elderberry cocktail so delicious..and a share platter of cheeses, salami, prosciutto, olives etc..it was so good and just enough between two. I will try not to make it to far between drinks..oh and there is a top outdoor venue..with great views of the harbour..a must see..

We went to the rooftop bar for a drink and a bite to eat. The staff is warm and friendly. The bar was very crowded, but we managed to find a table. Ordered our drinks and a cheeseburger 🍔. The cheeseburger is nothing to get excited about. Pretty much tasted like a frozen patty thrown on the grill. Let's just say it was more than well done. The views are amazing totally, making it a great experience to stop by for a beverage. All tje patrons were having a thr time of their lives. My kind of bar! Set your expectations low on tje food, enjoy a beverage with a view not to be missed. 5 stars from me.

That’s definitely one of my favourite spots in Sydney. Despite the best location in the Rocks and awesome harbour view in the roof top, the Pub is both funky and elegant, full of small stylish cabinets for big and small groups, which makes the atmosphere special! Love the lunch time, the bottomless parties and steak deals , all the snacks are amazing (can’t forget the halloumi and the squid) Martini espresso is worth it!) Book the roof top.

We visited The Glenmore Hotel on Friday night at 1230 pm. The upstairs roof top bar was closed. The very accomodating manager allowed us to go upstairs and take a photo as we had visitors from Ireland with us. This pub feels like an Irish pub so relaxed and welcoming.

Beautiful location. There is a roof top bar where you can take in the view of the harbour. It is a trek up the stairs in heels. We came around 5:30pm for an early dinner. You order at the counter and they bring everything to you. There is always delicious drink specials on the wall. I tried the Gin Shiraz which was refreshing. We were very lucky to get a table on the roof top bar without a booking. We ordered the schnitty and Parmi. Both salads were dripping in dressing so all you could last was the dressing. Everything was overly salted. Service is quick and friendly.

One of THE places to go whilst visiting The Rocks. We had a rooftop reservation for a birthday and were given a great table with a perfect view of the Opera House and harbour. Staff were welcoming and food was beautiful. The steak and potatoes were probably one of the best meals during our trip! Cocktail bar on the 2nd level and pub with outdoor tables on street level. Would definitely return!

We came here for an early dinner, and the place was slightly packed. We ordered the Beer Battered Fish with chips, salad and lemon; and the Chicken Parma with chips & salad. Service was quick, and they had a great selection of beer. We probably enjoyed the beers more than the food, as the fish had no taste in it despite squeezing every bit of the lemon on it. The fries were nice & tasty, and the side salad helped add a bit of tanginess to the fish. The Chicken Parma was juicy enough, but again not with the right amount of seasoning. I'll come back again only for the beer & the view of Sydney Opera House.

A nice old pub in the historic Rocks area. The service is excellent and the view is magnificent. It was our first visit for a birthday celebration and I can't fault the service provided. Plenty of seating areas both indoor and outdoor. Overall, a great pit stop while exploring the area or on the way to the theatre nearby.

Fabulous fun afternoon for a long lunch with friends. We were there on a sunny day, that made the incredible harbour view light up. I noticed they had a sliding roof if it rained. Take a hat as it gets sunny. Food was very nice & wine list good. Service friendly. My only critique, it’s a little bit pricey for a pub. Champagne, shared nibbles to start, wine & a 1 course lunch came to $150 per head. You could probably go a little more affordable if you kept it to the basics & wanted a quick lunch. Given its only a 2 hour time slot that makes it exy for a quick meal. We were though lucky enough on the day to be able to keep the table for extra time. That made the difference. I’m not sure why as a pub they have such a strict rule, as it was a friend ran a hour late due to she was coming from the country. The minimum time makes it to rushed. Perhaps if offered a longer time slot to those not in a rush, then a minimum spend would work. Highly recommend for a Sydney Harbour pub experience.

Let's start giving the guys a massive shout out for being so nice and welcoming. We went in with our nephew and his pram. The guys helped to get us the pram all the way to rooftop helped to find a space. We tried the chicken wings and oysters . Chicken wings were done to perfection just so balance with spice levels, and the oysters are a must try. The ambience of the place is to a different level.. classic pub style on the ground floor, modern and classy roof top and mid level is perfect for families.

  • 5/5 Emma A. 8 months ago on Google
Great place to take in the city with a peek of the opera house and enjoy some great food and drink. The chicken wings were heavenly, as were the gnocchi and sausage and mash. Could have stayed all day! Would definitely recommend it. The rooftop bar was super busy, so get there early or book. We sat downstairs outside, and that was fine, especially watching the myna birds. It is also really close to the bridge, so a great place to refresh after or before the walk across.

  • 5/5 Reshma C. 1 year ago on Google
Great pub with amazing rooftop views of the city and harbour, plenty of dining rooms for private events and seating. Rooftop seating is partially covered and has a bar and heaters. Food reasonably priced and the portions are big and tasty. Enjoy their great range of beers and wines. We will definitely come back!

rooftop. views. amazing. then even better was the outside on the street tables. this is where it’s at. people watching at its finest. great bar staff. really good food. deserves its spot on Sydney’s best pubs. well done.

The pub is very cool and has a lot of floors as well. The most iconic one is the rooftop..where you can see the opera house (when there are no cruises in front- they usually leave around 7:30-8pm). We ordered 2 cocktails, 1 prosecco and 2 plates to snack. Everything arrived on time apart from the 2 cocktails thst we waited half an hour!!!! There is a lot of staff and no one was doing anything! The place is also small so you have to book and a bit loud as well. I would not return here unfortunately even though I liked the place at first.

Awesome view from the rooftop area day or night. The food menu is rather limited and our meals were just OK. My wife had mushroom quesadillas which were bland and I had halumi salad which was tasty but not exceptional.

Rooftop bar with harbor and opera house view that was beautiful as well as the buildings in Sydney. Watching the ferries go in and out of the harbor was relaxing. Positive jumping vibe, bartenders were in point and fast. Burger was ok fries were nice. Looking at other tables portion sizes looked good. Crowd was friendly and accommodating letting us share a covered table when the rain came thru. Wonderful rooftop bar accessible by all in whatever you are wearing :)

Friendly staff everywhere. The amazing scenic view of course was lovely. Heaters downstairs for those by the street on ground level. We had a medium rare steak on a monday special, it was nice. We were upstairs in a private room for a birthday lunch on a Sunday. So much character. It was pouring with rain but we didn't seem to mind. The chicken schnitzel was fine but the amount of gravy was ridiculous. It must have been only 40 mils! Apart from that we had a fabulous time.

This pub is well known for its amazing view of Sydney Harbour and Circular Quay. To get the full ‘rooftop experience’, make sure you book ahead. For walk-ups, there are plenty of other spots to eat at this hotel - these tables don’t have the harbour view though. There are three floors here. We found a whole room for ourselves on level two. Excellent food - order via the QR code at your table. Food is brought to your table. There are bars located on all three levels. Friendly staff. The pub is 100 years old, and historical items are dotted around the building.
