I don't like the robot waiter. It bothers me. In the short time we were there we witnessed it bug out multiple times, causing waiters to helplessly gather around it with their hands on their hips. You can print a bow on it and try to spin it as cute, but it's a tacky machine whose only purpose is to marginally improve efficiency. And frankly if I'm going to pay $30 for a plate of food, it doesn't feel unreasonable to at least have a human being bring it out. Food was rad though.

Beautiful water side location with huge seating area and centrally located bar. Pizzas are their USP. Buy any pizza, dough is so soft and any toppings can make it taste good. The place is congested on weekends so prior booking is recommended. Staff is courteous and will help you out on every step if you are new to this place and country. Good place, slightly expensive but the experience is top notch.

No complaints here. We ordered the Mixed Platter for 4 and it could have fed 6! Excellent food. The platter had a great mix on it, was fresh and tasty. A very pleasant way to relax over lunch.

Ordered Vegetarian Options... Great ambience, by the water...Portion sizes small... Penne Arabiata and Zucchini fritters had a good flavour, pesto gnocchi & Mojito Lychee Rose was ok and risotto was extremely bland. Pricey experience.

The service was quick and decent. The food was nice, the garlic wood fired pizza was a bit salty tho. The price was pretty reasonable. We were directed to sit indoor so we could not really felt the harbor vibe. Although the ambiance indoor was not bad, make sure to ask to sit outdoor if you wanna enjoy the atmosphere at best.

Table settings feels very crowded. Good location due to facing the water view. Drinks: staff admitted that they run out of lemon thats why our drinks are tasteless. Returned the drinks 3 times to get the proper tastes. Pizza dough are good. Regardless of what toppings you choose its good. Customer service good. Priced accordingly.

We went to dinner tonight at the restaurant la casa and everything was absolutely perfect. The food was incredible, authentic Italian products, a real treat. The location and the atmosphere of the place is also superb: warm, on the waterfront with a view on the harbour of Sydney. Finally, a special mention to the manager of the team who welcomed us and offered us an impeccable and warm service, really appreciable. I recommend this restaurant without moderation!

Service started pretty poorly, but got better as we changed waitress' for the night. We had a red balloon voucher and was given a garlic pizza and caesar salad to start and for an italian place, I wasn't impressed with either at all. The main was alot better, we had the bbq chicken pizza and bosciola and the dessert the chef chose which was a mango cheesecake and tiramasu. The tiramasu was great, the cheesecake not so much. Overall wasnt the amazing experience we were hoping for considering it is a busy italian place in darling harbour.

Stunning location! This is such a beautiful place for catch-ups with friends or cute date with your partner! The food was beautifully presented - we ordered the burrata and ARANCINI which were both very DELICIOUS!! The steak was a bit burnt on the outside but it was perfectly cooked inside (medium rare); the lamb cutlets were a creative touch with a pistachio crust and the serving was GENEROUS (3 big pieces)!! Will come back again for their famous pizza :)

Service was quick and efficient and the food quality was great! Can’t complain! The pizza is a must try. The Gamberi was a little spicy but so addictive!

Service was great and the atmosphere was even better! Very quick and efficient. I ordered the chicken as my main, the Aphrodite as my drink and obviously had the tiramisu for dessert! Everything was delicious but I did have some trouble finishing off the chicken, it got a bit too acidic for my taste towards the end with all the tomatoes. Would definitely come again to try the barramundi ☺️

We were served by Manuel and honestly, it was so amazing! The smile, the greetings and everything was perfect! andrah the chef, was so understanding of our dietry requirements (halal certified food) and the food was so fresh that you can actually taste it! The atmosphere is so friendly and the choice of music is great! Authentic italian experience and I would love to thank you so much!

Stunning view! But it comes with crowdy noise from surrounding tables. Very busy place! Aranchini was great. Chicken Liver pate was good but it was not great with sour dough. Did not feel good combination. Pizza was def one of a kind. One of the best I have ever had. Pasta was moderate. Beverage was quite pricy but understandable considering it is prime location

In a very touristy spot, good happy hour deals but food was so, so. Service wasn’t great but it wasn’t bad either just had to flag them down if I needed anything, never asked if I needed anything.

📍 Casa Ristorante Italiano 42/48 The Promenade, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia - This was my first time here and Sydney in general. Stopped in for a quick bite after the Sea Life Aquarium because it was the first thing we stumbled across. I normally don’t step foot in a restaurant without doing research (side note: why is Yelp not a thing in Australia??!) but my boyfriend, who is the complete opposite, was starting to get hangry so I had to do what I had to do. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised… - 🪩 Ambiance/atmosphere: ⭐️ 9.5/10 Since it’s just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the water, we decided to sit outside because it was such a beautiful day. Completely covered overhead and tables were very clean. They also have fans and heaters scattered throughout the floor to accommodate whatever Mother Nature decides to throw at us that day. We sat in front of a small vertical herb garden with a TV above it. It was on that TV that I discovered they offer cocktail, pasta, pizza, and even kids pizza making classes! Might just have to take a class in the future when I have more time. Only reason I took half a point off is because it feels just a tad cramped. When we came in, it wasn’t too busy; however, I could see that if it was busy, I’d feel a little claustrophobic. Not terribly bad but removing a table here and there would go a long way. Then again, with how great the food is and the amazing location, I can see this place getting very busy. Would I want to wait a long time for a table? No. Am I willing to sacrifice a little more room to get seated faster? Yes. - 🛎️ Service: ⭐️ 10/10 🗣️ Came in at 1:30pm on a Wednesday and we were greeted and seated in about a minute. Manuel (pretty sure that was his name) was amazing! It was slightly busy but he really made sure we were taken care of. We mentioned that it was our first time in Sydney and he recommended quite a few things for us to do which was nice! Also, they have one of those little robot servers roaming around. It didn’t come around to our table but it was cool to see one of those for the first time! - 🍴 Food: Salt & Pepper Calamari 💰 $26 ⭐️ 10/10 🗣️ Best calamari I’ve had in a long time! It wasn’t tough or chewy at all, the batter was light/crispy, and the aioli on the side was great. Halfway through I decided to squeeze the lemon on it and let’s just say I wish I had done that from the beginning. Chicken and Mushroom Risotto 💰 $34 ⭐️ 10/10 🗣️ The menu describes it as, “the perfect combination of chicken, mushrooms and cream.” That is also how I would describe it. Perfection. I’m usually hesitant to order risotto because it can sometimes be mushy but this still had a nice bite to it. Cheesy, creamy, chicken and mushrooms in almost every single bite… you’re definitely getting your money’s worth. - 🥂 Drinks: Squealing Pig Prosecco 💰 $14 a glass / $65 a bottle ⭐️ 10/10 🗣️ We got a bottle. Not going to lie, I’m not a drink aficionado so alcohol is alcohol to me and that’s 10/10 always. - Overall atmosphere, food taste/quality, and service were top notch. Needless to say, and to quote the great Arnold Schwarzenegger, “I’ll be back.”

Amazing pizza, we had the buffalina pizza and loved the freshness of the bread and the cheese. Would definitely visit again!! Gnocchi was good too!

Great location by the harbour. I had the Arrabbiata pasta and it was okay, I just personally didn’t like it because it had a strong olive taste and was a bit too acidic for my liking, my mum loved it though. The pizza was DELICIOUS, it was some of the best pizza I’ve had, the bread was so fresh and it tasted really good. My main concern is that we bought lemon lime bitters for our table, but they just gave us water and bitters with no lemons/limes. We asked the waiter why it tasted different and she told us the kitchen ran out of lemons. Found it a bit strange that they still served it to us despite missing ingredients for the drink. There was also a robot helping the staff which was so cool. Overall I still recommend.

The restaurant does a good job of keeping on top of things as it is very popular, a real credit to the staff. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals. I had the Salt and Pepper Calamari which was a generous serving for an entree and not overly salty or spicy which was good. Also had the Casa Pizza for a main that was also enjoyable and a good size so I'd recommend this restaurant if you are looking for lunch or dinner at Darling Harbour.

This must be the best restaurant in Darling Harbour to celebrate a birthday with a large group. All the mains that were ordered tasted great. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere is very lively and enjoyable. Thanks for a great night

Casa Ristorante Italiano is set in an idyllic location by the water. The restaurant is comfortable both indoor and out, and there is a beautiful atmosphere to be enjoyed on a warm night. Unfortunately on the occasion we attended, the food did not match up to the ambiance. Many of the dishes were mediocre, in particular one of our pasta mains which showed signs of reheating in my opinion. Perhaps it was just an off night 🤷‍♂️

My family and I had the best experience at Casa on Saturday night. We hired the private dining room for a small family wedding. Every person at our wedding commented on how beautiful the food was and how full they were after our entrees. Our guests were very upset to learn that there was still main meals to come and dessert to fit in, but they made it their mission to finish it all as it was delicious. Susanna, the event coordinator was great with communication before the event. She made the process very easy and answered all my questions leading up to the big day. On the day, all the little details that I asked for were present and the room was beautiful! Our service on the night was incredible and the staff were beautiful, kind and very fun to have around. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Casa and if we could do it all again we would. Thank you to all involved.

Their Express Lunch menu on Monday-Friday is an amazing deal at around $18-$24 including a drink (selected beer, house wine or soft drinks)!! I had Burrata which came with baby heirloom tomato salad & Prosciutto, with with a glass of white wine. Their pasta & pizza look great too, which I will try next time.

Entrees and mains are spot on. Dessert is wayyyyyy too sweet, not good. Recommend the arancini, parpadelle lamb ragu and the prawn linguine.

The food is a bit fusion with western style instead of traditional Italian style. Overall is decent. The cocktail Maxitana was slight sweet instead of bitter/zesty.

Food is good but service is bad. They sat us near the harbour whilst it was raining so got rained on. Had to ask to move but only available seat was still near the harbour. One of our drinks never came. Overall terrible service.

I rarely write reviews but feel like I need to given our recent experience. I booked Casa Ristorante Italiano for a work lunch. Given COVID and the recent lockdown, it was the first time most of us had caught up in a long time. While there were a few large tables of groups, the restaurant was by no means full, however, the service we received was atrocious. When our drinks order was finally taken after a lengthy wait, without exaggeration it took 50 minutes for half of the group to actually receive their first drink (despite us regularly checking) - and when they did arrive, they were wrong. Our polite frustrations were not met with any apologies but a curt response that the drinks would be removed from the bill. When it eventually arrived, the food was good, however, we were brought a number of dishes which were not meant for our table. As the event organiser, it was stressful distracting and such a bitter disappointment. In such a prime tourist location, Casa is clearly not looking for repeat business but it pains me to think this restaurant experience could be a visitor's introduction to Sydney dining.

Came to the restaurant a few weeks ago on a Monday and enjoyed a pizza, came back today ordered the crab & prawn ravioli it was very tasty but the serving very small. Quite disappointing all round

Went to this restaurant on Saturday night without a booking and the staff accommodated us straight away even though the restaurant was busy. Ordered a Margherita pizza and it was delicious and well worth the price. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. Enjoyed our meal so much we came back the next day for lunch and tried the pepperoni pizza and a pasta dish. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

This was pretty good, nice for a Sunday lunch. Generous portions. Had the pesto gnocchi and half rack of ribs, ribs were a bit dry. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

I absolutely loved Casa Ristorante Italiano’s delicious authentic Italian cuisine, refreshing cocktails and amazing waterfront views. I highly recommend the antipasto platter as the perfect way to start your meal, while the Filetto di Maiale, pork fillet wrapped in pancetta, is an absolute stand out, must order dish. We also enjoyed the mussels cooked in a spicy tomato sauce, served with toasted home made bread and one of their famous wood-fired pizzas. I definitely recommend a visit to Casa Ristorante Italiano.

Not the best Italian restaurant but it's ok. Entrees was good. Gnocchi seafood too spicy. The buffalo mozzarella inside the pizza was dry and tasteless. Risotto and dessert not too bad.

  • 5/5 John K. 1 year ago on Google
Inventive Italian restaurant with plenty for vegetarians and meat eaters. With a large wharfside seating area + plenty indoors we had no problem being seated and served quickly. The food was outstanding and was delivered by a robot helping our waiter, lots of fun. This is the kind of place for a special dinner or celebration as well as a casual meal or drink. The staff was friendly and we overstayed our time waiting for a friend but we're not rushed in any way. The location is just a short bridge walk to the Maritime Museum which is a way better choice for activities than the more touristy attractions a bit closer. Friday and Saturday nights are crowded on the wharf so take that into account as well!

Awesome pizza! I been to Casa many times over the last few years and the food is always delicious. Also their Tiramasu is a must try dessert. So good 👍 👍 👌

  • 4/5 idkjusteat 11 months ago on Google
Fans of the pizza and arachini! We liked the topping combinations for the pizza, quite unique to the store. We didn’t really like the saffron pasta though. The service wasn’t bad. There is a large indoor and outdoor seating area suitable for families and gatherings with a view but beware of the seagulls. Enjoyed the dining experience with the food being served by these cute robots.

  • 5/5 Tom S. 9 months ago on Google
Should be better than rated than the 3.9 it is currently sitting at. We really enjoyed our time at Casa. The pizzas were delicious - almost as good as in Naples. The burrata awesome as well. The location is beautiful and the view as well. One recommendation to the staff: If someone orders pizza i would offer sharper knives.

  • 5/5 Lara W. 1 year ago on Google
Good food and drink menu range with generous serving sizes. We loved how many cocktails there were to choose from! Loved the location and the atmosphere (particularly the robot serving the food!) staff were also great and very accommodating.

👍 Best restaurant for South Indian dishes. Worth a try of Biryani. Tried Tandoori Soya today and it was the best I ever had here. Egg65 Biryani was so tasty. Crispy Baby corn was bad seemed like it was not fresh. You should not let your standards drop.
