We had a lovely stay in the pod. The location is very central, a 20 minute walk to the opera house and right in the CBD. The people in reception couldn't have been more helpful. The rooms were clean and warm, with towers and shampoo provided. It was my second time here and I would stay again.

I enjoyed my stay at the Pod Sydney. The staffs are very helpful and nice. The place is clean and tidy. Towels are also provided. The location is close to World Square shopping centre and it’s also surrounded by a lot of good thai restaurants. I’d recommend this place👍🏻

Great location. Cheap price! Stayed in the pod rooms. Spacious, well equipped. Thick blackout curtains + personal light/ power outlets. Locker + kitchen/ bathroom amenities were all clean and well organized. Plenty of fridge space. Staff was amazing. Deducted a star for the wifi connecting, but not being functional. The best hostel in Sydney by far !!! After a month it was like a second home. Really clean, spacious bed and locker, shampoo and towel offered for free. And not to mention so many good people to meet there. Would be back for sure if I come back to Sydney

This is my second home, whenever i go out in the city i sleep here instead of having to organise 1+ hour public transport or pay $100+ for uber. Facilities are immaculately clean and the pods are so cosy and comfortable i usually have a better night sleep here than at home sometimes.

One of the better hostels I've been to in Australia. Check in was seamless, staff were really friendly and there's someone at reception until late. Secure hostel dorms with about 6 capsule beds to a room. Capsules were sturdy and didn't creak when moving. Plenty of privacy. There's a couple of powerpoint sockets in each capsule. There's also a light and a coat hanger. Love the fact that is such a quiet place. You can hear the hustle and bustle of the streets. Close to Thaitown and Chinatown. Bathroom and kitchen was really clean. Clean utensils and tea and coffee up for offer. Overall, a really great experience. Does get booked out really quickly so book at least a couple weeks in advance. Thank you for a great stay.

I like how the place is quiet and clean. It's nice to be able to drop off luggage before check in time. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are a lot of signs for reminders but I think it's a nice things to have. The plumbing seems to be an issue with the bathroom floor flooded most of the time after someone showered and the toilet doesn't flush too well. Other than that I would come back and stay here again.

The beds were clean and well maintained. The lockers were spacious and sufficiently secure. Clean, good vibes, quiet and a pleasure to stay in. Five stars for what it promises!

It is the best hostel I have ever been. The staff is very competent and willing to help you all the time. The cleaning level is 10. They clean the common areas every day. The rooms are very comfortable and you can have your own privacy because your bed has a curtain where you can enclose yourself. Every 3 days they provide you with a new towel and every 5 days they change the bed sheets. You can request soap too. New facilities, very efficient staff, excellent location, I will definitely visit them again.

Good: - Great value - Everyone generally seems very quiet, respectful and polite. - Chloe the receptionist was very lovely and accommodating - always with a bright smile, made the experience a lot better. - Bathrooms seem very clean and well kept Can work with: - I stayed in room 9 - one of the rooms directly outside the common room or kitchen area so expect some noise at odd hours like loud talking or some socially unaware people watching videos when others are sleeping. You could also hear the dull sound of a club in the early hours too. Ear plugs should drown these out. Could work on: - Blankets are a bit thin and room can get a bit chilly. - The nightlight for each pod is very bright and large. The separation between each bed doesn't stretch all the way to the ceiling so light reflects off the ceiling. Means that if someone is using their light, it could disturb your sleep if you're a light sleeper like me. Might want to bring an eye mask. Note: Take the right most lift to access reception

I enjoyed my stay and was grateful for the Pod’s central location. I could walk everywhere I needed to go. The beds are a big upgrade from standard hostel bunks. The wooden walls and curtains mean you can feel tucked away privately while you sleep. Noise was a problem though: the club downstairs kept thumping until 0100. Earplugs were available until 2300 but more soundproofing would be great. Perhaps it is just a case of managing expectations. The staff were helpful and friendly. I was able to leave my luggage on the morning of my checkin.

Most friendly and helpful staff I have ever seen in a hostel. Staff went out of his way to help people, provided honest and useful recommendations and answered any questions. Very clean and comfortable hostel. Curtains on bed allow for some privacy. Common areas were clean and had everything you need. Location is perfect, close to Chinatown, CBD, central station and right across the supermarket. Will stay again!

Great place to stay for a night or two. Very clean an well kept. Has a communal lounge and kitchen. Showers are provided. Well worth the money.

Hostel is close to Central Station/Hyde Park/world centre Don't expect community as most were students and not much hang out space. Beds were greatly laid out and had a lot of personal space which was awesome. Areas were clean and respected. Wifi was a hit or miss

Great hostel, everything is super clean, kitchen well equipped, bathroom are cleaned everyday, and rooms are very comfortable and private. The only thing I have to say is that they usually clean the kitchen at lunch time, and they don’t let you know until you arrive with your food and they tell you you can’t use it. They should give you a heads up or do it at some other time. The rest was perfect, if I go back to a hostel in Sydney I would definitely stay here

Clean, comfortable and convenient, and surprisingly quiet! I really enjoyed my stay as I just needed a place to crash for the night while I was attending a conference in Sydney. The bed was super comfortable, I would have liked just a little more personal room in the pod for some of my belongings. The storage lockers in the rooms were quite small, fine for my small suitcase but some lodgers left their larger suitcases near the door which was awkward. The ladder to the upper pod made climbing into and out of the pod a little awkward because of the spacing of the rungs. But overall it was perfect for my needs and I would definitely recommend it and definitely stay again.

Very nice hostel. Everything is very clean and cozy. The rooms are spacious and clean. Comfortable bed and spacious pod. You can change your towels every 2 days if you want, and the lockers in the room are spacious !!! The guy at the office was very nice, always ready to assist you in any way and available 24/7. Great hostel 👍🏼

First time in a hostel since travelling around the World in the mid 90's and how things have changed! I stayed in a mixed dorm and it was clean, safe, quiet, private bed curtain, power points by your bes and enough space around the bed area to keep valuables close. Lockers provided, but not needed this time. I think you need your own lock. Like everything ... a lot more expensive than the 90's ;) but definitely a lot more for your money.

I loved everything about The Pod. I was lucky enough to get a complimentary upgrade on arrival to the private room. Everything (including the bathrooms) was clean and well maintained. I hired a car and parked at World Square. There’s also overnight street parking.

Beds are comfortable and the location is very good, I walked from the train station. There are some shops and cafes around the area. Their luggage’s storage helped me a lot as my flight was in the evening. Good lockers inside the room. The address is not very accurate if you are using Google maps. I would stay there again.

Amazing hostel with clean bedrooms and bathrooms. The pods are comfortable and spacious. You can easily sit upright and the bedframes seem sturdy so you don't notice if the person in the other bunk is moving. There is even a clean towel provided free of charge. A massive Coles is located in the shopping center accross the street. The staff is very friendly and is trying really hard to ensure that guests have a pleasant stay. If I ever come back to Sydney I will stay here again.

Excellent. Great location. Gorgeous staff. Very clean. I have really enjoyed having women only accomodation while men's bathrooms have been updated. I would very much like more women only accomodation to be available. A great place to stay. I will be back.

Good location close to chinatown. Staff are super helpful and go the extra mile. Bed bunks are bigger n more stable compared to the normal bunks. Most of the guests are korean, which is okay as they were all polite. Kitchen and bathrooms are cleaned regularly. What could be improved: there's a lot of dust on the ceiling in the room and bathroom so if youre sensitive to dust, this will be a negative.

First time staying at a hostel for a couple nights. I’m glad I picked this place, it was very clean and quiet. Guests were respectful of noise levels and kept to themselves which is great for me, I would not go here if you want to socialise. All staff that I came across were very friendly and helpful. There is a powerpoint and light in each bed, the blackout curtains made it feel private. Thank you to the reception staff that helped me print a document, I didn’t have to walk to officeworks ☺️

It was a nice place to stay near Central Station. It takes 15-35min by public transport to go to Bondi beach or to the opera. Large beds with curtains and a big locker. Staff is amazingly friendly.

I've stayed in heaps of hostels, while traveling the world and can honestly say that The Pod was one of the better ones. Great location, very clean and safe.

Absolutely loved the pod! the location, rooms, beds, bathrooms, kitchen - everything was amazing! the staff were so kind and helpful, cannot thank them enough! Loved that they had female rooms and keycard locks on each room. The provided lockers are so spacious for your belongings! The rooms are really well soundproofed from outside noise so perfect for light sleepers. Highly recommend the pod!

Booked Single Bed in a Female Dormitory Room. The location was great as it is accessible to main transport lines, food & shopping. Bed was comfortable, and there is a curtain to be drawn for privacy. There is a communal living and dining area for those who wishes to cook or chill. The receptionists are also friendly! Will recommend!

The best hostel in Sydney ever! All of staff are really friendly and they treat us completely. Room, kitchen, bathroom are always clean up. They have a strong cleaning policy and they clean up every day. Location is wonderful. You can go anywhere easily. Easy to explore around. It’s hard to book this hostel because really popular. I miss here!

Sheets and facility were clean and the water was hot. Beds are hard and cincomfortable, mattresses are thin, key cards fail to grant access to doors. Common room locked in early morning? Can't really chill in a room full of strangers. Showers were tiny and no towl was provided. This would all be fine if it was cheaper but really a traditional room would have cost less.

I was looking for something for 6 people and was very pleased to find The Pod. I booked a 6 person family room for a very reasonable rate. Upon arrival we were checked in easily and quickly. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was excellent. I loved the sleeping pods as did my family. Our party ranged in ages between 14yrs and 74yrs. My children were excited about sleeping in their own pod! The beds were comfortable, not too soft. The Pod and the shared bathrooms are very clean and well looked after. The Pod is in a great area, so many cafe’s, pubs and places to eat. Great links to transport, Central station is an easy 5-10 minute walk away and there is a tram stop just down the road. Overall an excellent stay. We will be back!

Family of 5 of us adults and 3 babies stayed the night. Front desk person was so hospitable, helpful and lovely. Honestly the best customer service. The kids loved the pods as did us adults. Best hostel I've stayed in as it is very simple but so clean, fast wifi, central to absolutely everything, including coles across the road at world square, the darling quarter straight down the road etc. Very clean shower area, nice hot showers, great water pressure. Peaceful stay, had a great nights sleep after an evening out. We will definitely return.

Stayed for 1 night. Impeccable services. Rooms are shared with others but the personal area you have were spacious. Rooms and communal area were always clean and well lit. Lots of amenities provided in the form of shower rooms, kitchen, vending machines, as well as personal power outlets near the bed. Wi-fi coverage was a bit poor in a small part of the communal area but no big deal. The surrounding area were quite busy and full of things to eat, and despite at all of that, there were no unwanted noises coming into the room at night.

Exquisite place to stay. Booked it because the capsule pod appeared to be organized as it was advertised on the apps. And it was true. Very tidy & clean. The receptionist staff whom also handled everything was such a helpful & friendly person. Won't mind to rebook it if do come revisiting the city. 👍🏻

The manager was super friendly and accommodating. Everything was clean and tidy. Each room locks via a swipe card. Lockers are a good size and lockable with a byo lock. There are some nooks in the room where you can store extra large luggage if needed without getting in the way. The pod itself is a good size. The mattress is good quality and comfy. Theres some hangers in the pod and about a foot of space off to the side where you can store some things, the pods arent lockable, privacy is achieved with a good quality sun blocking curtain. Each pod has a light and two powerpoints. Location is good, right next to a mall and coles, light rail a block away, buses all around, 10 mins walk to central.

The staff were amazing, beds comfortable, facilities clean & prices were unbeatable. This is also in the perfect location, will definitely be coming back.

Very well located, just across the street you’ll find the world square shopping center where you can find everything you need, supermarket, bank, aupost, coffee, haircut shops, and so on. The cleanness of the place surprised me in a good way, and have stayed and a lot of backpackers hostels and this is one of the best and terms of cleaning and organization. The pod bed are private, have your own locker, switch lights and sockets connection. The hostel provides towels too.

Probably the best hostel you can find in Sydney. A bunk bed with a curtain work well. It gives you the privacy you need. Facilities are very clean. Reception staff is extremely accommodating and helpful. Although pubs downstairs could be a bit noisy on the weekend. Overall a very good experience.

For the towel and bath gel alone, I'll give this a 5 Stars review. But, top it off with great service and a comfortable pod, I cannot be happier with my stay. Would definitely stay again.

I've stayed in a similar place for the same price before but liked this accommodation way better. It was so spacious and clean, plus it was good to have multiple showers and toilets in the bathroom. There was even a canteen/kitchen area. I was very impressed with my stay overall and will be back here again if i get the chance :) I'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere cheap to stay to the city!

The location is a gem - World Square is just across the street. Easy access to trains station and bus stops. Room is clean. Bed is comfy. Only 3 female shower room but no problem. Staff, Gong, is extremely helpful.

Staff was great. Rooms were quiet. The entire place was super clean. I needed to stay an extra week and they helped me out and even gave me a discount. I have nothing bad to say about this place and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a hostel in Sydney.

Much nicer than any hostel I've been to before. The bunk beds are sturdy, there's power points and a light right next to you and room down the side of the bed to put your bags and things. Still quite private despite being in a room with a lot of people.

Nice and clean! I loved the bed with curtains and also they gave you towel. Sometimes the bathroom floor was too slippery because of the water. The staff was very friendly and helpful, I loved that! And lockers in the room was good size, my big backpack and also smaller backpack suits there very well.
