I had reward of $20 on my oporto app on my phone. The guy with the glasses on wasn't accepting the payment with the reward point and his attitude towards the customer service wasn't good. Later on after some discussion he did took the payment through but i wasn't happy with the service.

Had to change my comment as recently found disappointed with the quantity and service so added a photo and reduced the rating from 4 to 2 star after bought takeaway Large hot Chips and found half filled when i opened the paper bag.,! I was told if i want a shearbox or any more hot chips i would have to wait 10 minutes..!! $4.50 for a large and half filled, should have not served it at all.! Very disgraceful..!! - Willing to update my review when service improves and quantity and quality... Very disappointed..!!! - Original Post - Compared to Guzman y Gomez who recently open next door Oporto's with out a doubt is a better alternative to taste and value for money!! The only issue with this Oporto's is that the staff are not friendly and do not take pride in their work or quality of the food they make!! Oporto's head management needs to step in to compete with Guzman y Gomez, as Oporto's is tastier with Portuguese flavours! Even Ogalo's in Marrickville have stepped up in customer service and quality! Otherwise, the food is 10 times better in Oporto's...

Been to this store a few times over the last couple of years and each time I have been disappointed with the quality of the food, I will not be going back. The chips are pretty awful, they are cold, bland undercooked and not seasoned at all, they seem like they have been sitting there for hours. I think Oporto might have changed the vegan patty because I remember it being crumbed and fried and tasty but the one I got was not that. The vegan burger I got last night was inedible, the patty was not nice, a smear of old “avocado”, tomato was not fresh at all, I took two bites and threw it out.

Just tried to order food online, and decided to try "Basted Marrickville", as i hadnt heard of it before. When the order gets delivered, its just Oporto! In Oporto packaging!! And they couldn't even get the order right! It's downright misrepresentation of product, if I WANTED Oporto I would have ordered it! Tried leaving a rated on UberEats but it won't even let you, I assume to stop you from warning others. Extremely disappointing!

Very disappointed with the food quality now, I bought whole chicken feed today, I picked rice for side, went home found out the rice taste so weird and wet! Disgusting 🤮 Hopefully they are not serving the left over rice from last night! Ended up in bins!

We just ordered a meal that arrived without 2 sauces. I rang and spoke to a manager who said he'd ring me back in 2 minutes, which he never did. Not only that but after waiting 10 minutes for a call, I decided to ring them but they no longer picked up the phone! I called from 2 different numbers at least 4 times and they left the phone ringing! I have reported them to head office but this is what I want to know: what kind of a place is this where you treat your customers with such disdain? An absolute disgrace. You call when you say you will call and fix up the mess, you made NOT ignore the customer. It may only be a couple of sauces for churros but you missed packing them and the churros was not enjoyable without them! No sorry, no apologies, of any kind, only silence. A rubbish place for the way their treat customers and I shan't be back. Marrickville OPORTO franchise owner, you must train your managers in customer service! If you can't replace something, if you made a mistake, own up to it. Call the customer. Apologise. Oh and the chips in particular, are so often awful, undercooked, unsalted. We have been here many times over the years. Never had such bad experiences since some unsmiling, uncaring, managers have joined the place.

Probably would give 0 stars if I could. Worst service, loud and rude, worst food - no sauce, cold, didn't taste like traditional Oporto. Franchises like these spoil the name of a good food chain

Always undercooked chips. I am not exaggerating, each time I think "next time will be better" but don't do what I've done. The last 7 times I have order, count them 7 times, they chips have been undercooked. And I'm actually rounding down to be nice. Please do better. They often forget additional sauces too. Sick of it. I love Oporto, but Marrickville just isn't worth being fooled over so many times.

So Oporto marrickville must be so bad it now goes by Basted via the online food apps. So they lure people into the idea of trying out a new restaurant when it's simply the same below parr food chain. Maybe change the name to Lying Basted..

Dodgy franchisee. Refused to honour a nationwide promotion advertised on the app and by email, claiming that offer had already 'expired' and was an 'error' even though the offer was clearly advertised as being an extended offer and the expiry date more than 2 days away. Drove up the road to the Newtown store which had no problem honouring the offer.

Worst customer service in town. The person who serves you doesn’t even look at you in the face and just walk away from you… so weird. On top of that my chicken was just horrible. I’ve eating Oporto before and never was so hard and tasteless. Never again.

Ordered late at night on Uber eats, the chips came so stale and cold, I ordered a salad they put me Bondi burger chicken and only lettuce in the bowl, it was honestly disgusting worst oportos by far ! WENT STRAIGHT TO THE BIN

Ordered on Uber eats and wow what a waste of money they were so lazy they couldn’t even heat up the corn I ordered came stone cold no seasoning. Chips for half frozen and the burger and wraps were cold and hard the buns barley toasted. Even while writing this cant get over the fact I received raw corn when you order spicy corn 🤣 great job Marrickville oporto waste of $60 (update) manger replaced the order was very helpful thank you !

Half chicken box ain't eye appealing , looks worst and food gets shoogy when you mixed all the items in one box.please upgrade your packaging. Thanks

Workers kicked us out of the restaurant at 11pm when clearly it says on the website that it closes at 12am. The workers turned the lights off before we could even walk out of the restaurant. That could have been extremely dangerous and hazardous. Absolutely atrocious behaviour. Never coming here again. Did not get to dine in, was forced to take away.

Its quick and it always hits the spot when you need it. Credit where credit's due they deliver more chips than what Maccas does (as in my experience Maccas usually skimps as if there is some sort of food shortage!) so its got to be said.

Very poor. Cold burger and chips. I thought they cooked the burgers to order, but this came out way too fast. Maybe I got a cancelled uber eats burger. Never again.

When you are spending good money on food, you'd at least hope that it was good... soooooo many times we have been disappointed by Oporto Marrickville and each time you'd hope the last time wasn't just a bad day... but alas every time is a let down...

Hey Oporto owner instead of writing the same response over & over how about solving the problem and maybe get staff who know what they are doing,cook the food properly & actually get the orders correct. I am a local who never had a problem till the last couple of months absolutely pathetic & no I won't fill a feedback form.

2 stars is generous, I’m just saying. The last 4 or 5 times I’ve ordered from here I’ve ordered an otropo and it came with no pineapple and either no bacon (what’s the point of o”tropo”?) or a ridiculous, old, hard, stale piece of bacon that hurts my teeth to bite into. I don’t know what happened to Oporto but it’s sad. It’s really gone down in quality and I used to love it. Never again. RIP

Almost every Sunday here for a late dinner after my ice hockey games and never been disappointed with quality of the food plus always smiling Lily from the staff is a bonus. Thank you!

Went in for a late lunch, fast service friendly staff. Place was a bit noisy, and burger was a big soggy. Overall not a bad place for a quick feed.

Honestly... this has to be the last time I torture myself with what used to be a great burger. Tonight, as usual, totally awful. Ordered 2 double Bondi burgers. No cheese on either... huge lack of sauce. One was cold, one... warm. Both had hardly any lettuce, hardly any sauce and "bready tasting" patties... totally lame. Never again. $26 down the drain. Don't do it Marrickville!
