The city of Matthews has many festivals here at Stumptown Park. Last year I went to the Hispanic festival and today it was the festival of India. It's always a good time. Good food, music, culture, people, and a great environment.

Absolutely love this park! My mom is from Matthews so I spent a lot of time there as a child. My fave event to this day is the Labor Day festival. I remember my parents taking my siblings and i to it every year. We had the most fun! I love how much Matthews has grown over the years all the while still having its small town charm.

Festival of India Charlotte 2023 event was held here and there was so much. There were multiple food and shopping stalls. There is a stage available for performances. Great place to visit with family and friends during any event

Cute tiny park - clean with some seating areas. Small stage for performance and trees around the edge for shades. One problem, no restrooms.

Very nice stage, good sound, great venue for outdoor theater. We need more outdoor theater in Stumptown Park! Musicals would be better than plays because the frogs are loud and some of the ambient noise from planes and trains and automobiles can obscure the sound. If people were allowed to sit closer on temporary bleachers that might resolve the problem.

Just another one of the many awesome places in Matthews. This place always has something wonderful going on. From live music bands and volleyball fields to Matthews Alive, Beach Fest, and chili cook offs, Stumptown is always entertaining the town of Matthews, and we love it. It's also walkable with easy access to the walking trials of Squirrel Lake Park. It's an easy walk from Acts Retirement Center, Matthews Elementary school, and many local restaurants, shops, and pubs. Check out the Town of Matthews website for upcoming events.

Lovely small park with free concerts. Parking can be a challenge if you're not familiar with the place, but there's a couple of churches, an empty gas station and a bank parking lot where you can park and take a short walk to the park. They usually have amazing local food trucks when they have events there, but otherwise there's plenty of restaurants within a walking distance if you want to grab a bite.

The Beats & Bites concert was fun. Ole Buddy's food truck provided a tasty meal, too: Belly Up burger, loaded tater tots, and crisp onion rings

Joy on the children's faces ... inspired me to ride my favorite ride. When i was a kid, my favorite ride was the spinning swing ... it still is I had so much fun at Matthews Alive festival. My favorite was spinning in the swing ride and spinning with my friend on the dance floor as the band played.

I recently visited this park and was blown away by its beauty and tranquility. The park is well-maintained and has a variety of scenic walking trails and picnic areas.

Playground is small and in need of repair. Good clean place for events but not much to see if your simple there to be there. Shops and dinning within walking distance.

We had a great time. The festival was very well planned and attended. Lots of participants, but not too crowded. Plenty of parking was available and we had a very short walk.

This review is for the Beach Fest concert held at Stump Town park. So I will attempt to separate the two entities in my review. The park is nice and a real asset for Matthews. Parking will be a challenge ... but we found a spot at the post office which was about a quarter mile away. The rest rooms were handy and clean. The concert. Our group really enjoyed The Entertainers. They were very congenial; had a good sound; and most importantly ... did not play load enough to make us uncomfortable. Now for the Tams. They were very proud of themselves, although I don't know why. Their volume level was so high that we became very uncomfortable were just about to leave when it started to rain. THANK YOU LORD. So ... we had to leave and get out of the rain. But the rain was better than the Tams. I will never attend another concert that includes the Tams. They are only interested in hearing themselves.

Veterans memorial park right in the middle of downtown Matthews. They hold events all throughout the summer including food truck Fridays and concerts under the small stage. In the winter, a lighting display is setup for a nice walk around the park. It has a small play area for kids but mostly it's an open field with a sidewalk path around it.

Went to Matthews Alive to volunteer. The music was great, the atmosphere was energetic. I just suggest they provide water for volunteers and there needs to be access to handicap parking. It was a very long walk to the festival from where we had to park. It was hot today! Otherwise, the park is nice. We enjoyed giving back.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ The 4 mile greenway is a beautiful and accommodating walking trail in the middle of Matthews. It was great to see many types of people and pets doing exercise and keeping the trail clean. There is a lot tree shade and lovely creeks along the way. The trail is a true gem for all families to enjoy.

πŸ‘ Small neighborhood park in Matthews, NC. Great for smaller children with a walking path (.3 miles) and open play area. No public restrooms but there’s a porta potty next to the parking lot. The park itself is tucked away and unnoticeable unless you’re looking for it. Clean, well kept with metal seat...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Nice and small little park behind the shopping complex. Has a brand new set of swings with a Zipline has been fixed and works great!. The play structure is good for younger kids as well. There is also a walking trail that extends away from the park.
