Storytime presented by the library there with my granddaughter. Then played at the park. So much fun. Clean restrooms too!!

I visited this park on Saturday. There's a good playground for children, different swings and slides. Also there is a nice lake where you can seat and enjoy the nature. I didn't see any ducks, maybe because it was already evening. There's a walking trail if you want to walk. In general it's a nice park to spend time with your children or partner. But be sure you leave this park in time, because the gate will be automatically closed after 7:30 pm

Convenient and easy to get to, enough parking and a nice bathroom facility, this park is a great place for the kids and a run! I did not explore the whole place, but many reviewers like the whole thing. I went fishing. I saw a couple of 8 inch bass, bit no bites on 3 different lures. #stinker as a fisherman.

This place was super cute!! Our first time with our puppy here and it was very nice walk around, with educational mounts up for kids, and art painted on less that beautiful manmade things made it whimsical and pretty. We saw lots of deer, birds and squirrels! Definitely, recommend and will be back!

This was my first time at this park. We arrived just before the gate open at 6:45am to let us enter the park. There were lots of parking spaces near the restroom and playground. The park is connected to a 4 mile paved greenway that has a story displayed through the trail. Cool! They also have a home for the bees to habitat and a multiple bird feeder on a pulley. This was a nice trail and walking for anyone.

Wonderful and beautiful park with a great playground. Especially loved the trails and I think there may even be a paintball course or mountain bike course in the woods off the path? Would be worth looking into. The reading trail where you read a book page by page along the path will be awesome when we bring our kids! We even saw a group of deer which was so special. Would definitely come back!

This is one of the best parks around. Beautiful lake, nice playground, walking trails and a nice 12 hole disc golf course.

Very lovely and very busy park. Especially there’re many people on the weekends. But I like it because everything so close: playground, fishing pier and picnic shelters.

Great park to visit with your family. Playground is big and clean with good visibility. They also have a bathroom. Walking path is wide and very clean and there are also benches spaced around so you can take a break. I highly recommend trying this park out.

This is a very nice park overall. The greenway is quite long with plenty of options for different routes, all interconnected between various neighborhoods and even other small parks. There's a nice pond here with a fountain, a small creek running alongside a large portion of the trails, and plenty of playground and gazebo space for families. Definitely check it out! Great place to connect with nature.

This is a small park with a playground, small lake, some a frisbee golf course and some places to have BBQ. But the best park is the four mile river bike and walking path. It’s a great place to bike, walk your dog, jog or just enjoy some time out doors. Well worth going. Cal again and again.

Squirrel Lake Park is a wonderful park for anyone. In the park itself is a playground, pond, and disc golf course. It also connects to a greenway which is wonderful for walks and enjoying a bit of nature between neighborhoods on a walk to Downtown Matthews. Also, all of the above is great for Pokemon Go!!!!!

What a great park. We took our sweet dog there and we enjoyed walking to the creek. It had been raining so it was muddy but the park is beautiful. We’ll be back to have a picnic now that the weather is cooling off.

Great place for young kids. It has a play structure for toddlers and older kids along with a pond and dock to look for fish. The park connects to four mile Greenway and had a short disc golf course

Nice park for the party and good place for the kids to enjoy. But small parking spaces. It connects s good trail to trek.

  • 4/5 Carl Joseph A. 11 months ago on Google
Overall, the park is nice and is a great place to walk and experience nature. The disc golf course here leaves a lot to be desired. Only 12 holes and the baskets are ancient, an old design that doesn't catch discs like they should. Other than that, a fun course to throw. Baskets make it a 3 star track.

Love the trail. Not all of it is under shade. But most of it I think.

What a great little park. Playground equipment was well kept, the pond was full of different wildlife for my 2 year old grandson to look for, plenty of walking trails, the bathrooms were clean and everyone was friendly. This will be one of our go to parks.

The playground is big and my son had a great time playing on it. The Greenway wasn't crowded and was beautiful and easy to navigate. It was muddy in sections and probably floods if it rains. The restrooms were clean.

Great place for kids and adults. Awesome playground and trails.

  • 5/5 Tracy P. 3 years ago on Google
Great park for walking and biking. Flat, well maintained paths. Small lake, picnic tables, shelters, playground, Frisbee golf course, always something new to spot.

  • 5/5 Stephanie W. 3 years ago on Google
Love walking my dog here daily, playing disc golf with friends, and several Pokémon Go poke stops if you play the game. Great little park that’s always clean

Cute lil park that I wish I'd found sooner! Nice walking to trails. Playground bedding could use an update, it was quite messy.

  • 5/5 Elizabeth E. 3 years ago on Google
Great place. Clean and relaxing. Good place to have a picnic, fish, walk, take kids to the park ect. The trails are clear and well paved. Great place!

  • 4/5 Marv B. 3 years ago on Google
Peaceful and serene, not too busy. Places to fish, walk, and sit. Shaded areas with benches & tables.

  • 3/5 Lisa A. 3 years ago on Google
I will only give this park 3 stars for the following reasons. I take my parents out with me to the parks. They both are in wheelchairs at this time. The trails are unlevel and hard to push someone on. The pond is muddy dark brown. If you plan to go fishing be aware I saw a solor powered fish feeder. So good luck fishing. Also right now all the bathrooms are closed at this time.

It's only a 12 hole disc golf course, but it's extremely enjoyable. A mix of a couple of open and wooded. Fantastic family atmosphere. I usually play 3-4 rounds here. Short but technical.

Nice park and nice trails. Ducks are everywhere near the pond, that entertained my kids. Nobody social distant, nobody I saw had a mask on either and the playground is super crowded. Makes me think I am the only one in a pandemic!

👍👍 The 4 mile greenway is a beautiful and accommodating walking trail in the middle of Matthews. It was great to see many types of people and pets doing exercise and keeping the trail clean. There is a lot tree shade and lovely creeks along the way. The trail is a true gem for all families to enjoy.

👍 Small neighborhood park in Matthews, NC. Great for smaller children with a walking path (.3 miles) and open play area. No public restrooms but there’s a porta potty next to the parking lot. The park itself is tucked away and unnoticeable unless you’re looking for it. Clean, well kept with metal seat...
