I don’t know how this hotel has a 4.5 stars.. this was so expensive for finding mold in the bathrooms (video and picture) the bed is not comfortable, there is a beep sound in every floor and they don’t turn off at night time ( video). And when we asked them to turn off they said it’s like this and they can’t do nothing. It beeps every 10-20 seconds.. you can’t sleep.. Also the windows are so dirty that you can’t see anything outside ( picture).. the minimum you should keep are things cleaned.. the safe was also locked and not working, so we didn’t want housekeeping since we had our passports in the room.. we contacted them, they could not fix and that’s it.. it’s broken. The inclusive dinner does not even include soda.. only water! I have nothing good to say. Even the short distance is not worth the money they charge. There are better options around. Sanitary and health services should be contacted for these molds.. True 5 star hotels would never be like this one. This hotel needs urgent updates.. And do you know what answer you get from them? Literally nothing! Any hotel that is 5 star would make sure things like these are working and cleaned and would at minimum provide 5 star Costumer service. I don’t know how they have a license to advertise they are 5 star hotel. That should be illegal

Sounds like you had an amazing experience! From the clean and comfortable room to the convenient location near the clock tower mall and the Haram, it seems like everything was perfect. The room service and staff were both exceptional, and the breakfast with its huge variety must have been a highlight. Overall, it sounds like a fantastic place to stay.

The room was good (I assume it would have been great a few years back) and the location was awesome. However, the cleanliness wasn't up to the mark, especially the bathroom. The shower tiles were broken and the floor wasn't nicely cleaned.

I wish I could give this 0 stars. The worst hotel I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. I booked for 3 adults for 7 nights. I paid a LOT of money thinking this would be a great location because my parents are both elderly. However there was a glitch and the system says the 4 bedroom I had booked was for 1 adult! The hotel refused to update it to 3 adults without an additional payment or £1480!!! Which is how much I paid for the room anyways!!! They wanted DOUBLE the money! Not only this they refused to cancel the booking so it could be rebooked for the same amount for the correct amount of people. I have spent over £350 on telephone calls because they kept me on hold for over 2 hours! And I have been calling daily for 7 days! As I was crying down the phone the hotel advisor just says to me ‘so?’ Like I hadn’t already paid a ridiculous amount of money!!! Even though the room is correct and the mistake is not mine! AVOID AVOID AVOID! You can stay at nicer hotels in the clock tower for cheaper that have better customer service and will not try to steal your money!!!!! You’re asking I send you a private message but you don’t even have that feature turned on! I’m guessing you are doing it all for show so other customers thing you fix peoples issues! THEY DO NOT FIX YOUR ISSUES! They leave you to struggle and take more money

I very much enjoyed staying at the Swiss Hotel. The place is very beautiful and their poster is friendly. The attention to the cleanliness of the hotel and the rooms is more than wonderful. The restaurants are clean and of a high degree of sophistication. The food is very nice. I will definitely come back to the place again.

5 star! Alhamdulilah, staff and service was great. All helpful. For parents please do not mistake the cooler as a fridge or freezer. They have nescaffee coffee machine, would be good if they can renovate the shower rooms in the near future.

First I have to mention that The receptionist of this hotel Rania was the nicest receptionist I have ever encountered at a hotel. She was always friendly and asked how our stay was going every time we walked in the door. She also was able to recommend places to get any type of meal that we needed as well. Second this is a luxurious hotel! It’s clean and has a lot of comfort items to make you feel at home. I was in town for a stressful event and coming back to this hotel’s room was very peaceful.

This hotel has a beautiful lobby and restaurant. The restaurant has a great mini breakfast buffet for kids too. The kids loved it. Special shout out to Mr Faizan who was very courteous and helpful at all times. However compared to the money being paid, the rooms are small and the bathroom even smaller. The shower area is so small that a claustrophobic person would never get in there. The bathroom really needs working on considering the fact that this is a 5 star hotel. And the service isn't great. They have so many guests checking in every day and I guess this makes them indifferent or too tired to be hospitable to each guest.

Best hotel! Their service was top level Food was good Beds were comfy Had everything you needed in the room eg kettle, hairdryer, fridge…. Really close to haram, food, shopping.. Only thing I would say is the fridge needs to be changed in room 2105 as even on the lowest temperature it wasn’t as cold as it should be. Thanks to everyone working there for making our stay pleasant!

Overall I enjoyed my stay here alhamdulilah. The best part is definitely the view, it is unmatched by even anything in the clock tower. The hotel is positioned perfectly so that the minarets are not blocking your view of the haram. The other parts of the hotel are lacking and improvements can be made. For example, cleaning the windows. The bathroom was very small. The breakfast in the morning was a huge place, but I would suggest to extend the time to beyond 10:30. Service was really nice with the guys cleaning the rooms. Obviously it is expensive, which factors into why it is a five star hotel. I would suggest if you want to stay here book well in advance.

The hotel is extremely crowded, and it takes long time to complete our checkin However, the receptionists are very welcoming, helpful and friendly, they we're exhausted but always willing to offer help with a lovely smile. I was lucky that my room was very clean, the bed was comfy, the room service was always on time. The view was breathtaking, however I wish that they do glass cleaning regularly to complete the good experience the hotel offers. The buffet was not as good as expected, and the restaurant doesn't smell good, but the staff were very fast in assisting and serving us everything we asked for. The hotel's location is one of the best that is very close to the Haram gate (around 3 minutes walking distance). Would definitely visit it again.

The location is great. The hotel has two entrances one to the Haram with special entrance and the other to the street where you find taxis are waiting you. All service was top notch. Quadruple room with Kaaba view was spacious and tidy with most essentials provided for a family of 5. The bed is big, I loved it the most. Breakfast food was incredible with variety of choices; top management was also around to make sure everything was okay. I would like to thank Mr. Rakan at the reception desk for his welcoming and attitude. Loved our stay here!

This was a very nice hotel to stay in, the rooms were cleaned and maintained well and the location was brilliant. Most of all the staff working at the hotel were very kind and this made our stay pleasant. Everyone was so happy to help in any way they could. We were treated very well and made to feel at home here. The supervisor in charge of our rooms his name I believe to be salah really made sure we were looked after well. I would like to thank the whole team for providing us with such excellent service and making us feel so welcome as guests at your hotel.

All service was top notch. Room is spacious and tidy with most essentials provided. The bed is big, I loved it the most. Breakfast food was incredible with variety of choices and some changes in the menu everyday. Top management was also around to make sure everything was okay and their staff, Mr Ashraf, assisted us greatly during our 18 days of breakfast at the Cafe. Loved our stay here!

At this holy place we enjoyed the stay which made our journey memorable as it was just steps away from Haram. Amazing customer service neat and clean room. Restaurant staff and service for breakfast was outstanding with lot of tasty food varieties helped us to recover for more prayers without weakness. Met with restaurant manager with great personality and admired the service and food quality.

Great hotel with great location (easy access via the Clock Tower or its very own side entrance/exit). Rooms cleaned daily and hotel is generally well maintained. Hotel falls part of the Masjid so if your not well or running late you can perform prayers behind imam within your room (live prayers speakers in all rooms) Only had breakfast booked and it was decent. Fresh omelette and on Friday and Saturdays they have a kids corner with fresh waffles, candy floss, chocolate cereals etc...

We just had a wonderful time in the hotel during hajj. The room was always clean and the whole management and team was very quick to respond and help. Food was always great . Though everyone was so cheerful and respectful but I would like to mention Atif the concierge manager ( I guess) for his very prompt and quick response. Atif helped us greatly and even moved our luggage personally in the bus as we checked out. We were touched and very impressed by his hospitality and sense of commitment. Can’t thank you guys enough for such a comfortable stay during this great time of hajj. Keep it up 👍🏻

Our stay in room 622 was extremely comfortable. The entire hotel specially the rooms very squeaky clean. The floor manager Mr Hussain made sure we were satisfied. He was kind enough to take my kids to see the Kaaba view suite. Highly recommended.

Other than the small washroom. The room and the staff were amazing. Our requests for anything that we require was met within a few minutes. The service staff at the buffet area were also friendly and the food was awesome. Especially staff Yusof, he always greeted us with a wide smile first thing in the morning and that made our day. We had some trouble at the reception as we had back to back bookings which they could not consolidate for some reason and we had to keep going down to renew our cards for the day. Booking and payment is also a hassle, you should do something about paying by link and provide a secure mode of payment instead of sending a link which sometimes is expired even before we open it. Besides that, our stay was a comfortable one.

I stayed in room 2008 and the cleaning services were on point. The bed’s linens were nice and bathrooms were clean everyday. The room smelt good too. Muhammad Rizan the floor supervisor took care of my family and went above and beyond. I’ll definitely be coming back soon. The rest of the staff was great as well.

It's a great hotel the receptionists are welcoming. The rooms are good. Points for their sustainability ideas. Even the breakfast was good. The only issue they had was they had unclean sheets on one of the beds. Otherwise a 5 star rating.

Azam was the most attentive staff we encountered during our stay. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything. The best best employee! Definitely needs to get recognized.

Amazing hotel. While not prefect, the best hotel we've experienced so far. Highlights include: - Ka'bah view is worth every cent - breakfast buffet is a huge variety - excellent room service, super friendly and available on demand - if you forget something (power converter, toothbrush) they give complementary items - free water bottles The biggest downsides are the thin rooms - you can hear other peoples phone alarms. For us, our credit card declined before visit (despite having funds available) so they canceled our booking. After lots of discussion, we were able to get a booking, but it created a very stressful first day experience for us. Highly recommend going if you can get a good price, because otherwise, it's quite expensive.

Just wanted to share that the location is good since it’s very near to haram. Variety of food selections, I love it so much. Services given is also good especially housekeeping for my room, done by Mr Yusuf (4222). It was neatly done and my room was very comfortable. Even though the price is expensive but still satisfied to choose this hotel due to its location, food & service. Thank you.

Karim was very warm, welcoming and accommodating and went out of his way in helping us. Top man set the tone for the rest of the day, very happy with his excellent service. Brilliant buffet and service was of a very high standard, hats of the chef. Food was out of this world and great variety. Location is brilliant and we had the Kabah view from our bedroom as a free upgrade thanks to Karim. Great experience and extremely happy with the stay

We stayed in room 3619 and had a wonderful experience. Cons: Our reservation was canceled because we didn't see the invoice on the way to Makkah. They give you 24 hrs and we were on the plane and couldn't make the payment. Reception eventually gave us one room in place of the 2 we booked and I had to pay more. Pros: The location is perfect. There is a mall and food court attached to the hotel. Hotel staff were amazing. They kept the place clean and made sure our stay was comfortable in every way. Hope to come back here soon.

Pros: Extremely clean, water is always topped up with regular room service. Nice smelling room, and beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is amazing, lots of options and kid friendly. Omelette and pancake service. And Fridays has many children options. Price is high, £1200 for 6 nights for couple however we found this worth it due to ease travelling around. Domestic staff are very helpful and polite. Direct access to clock tower masjid. Teas and coffees are always topped up. Very safe. Cons: Luggage staff can be rude, reception is always busy and noisy took a while to check in. Tips: remember what lift takes you to your room as some of them are limited to certain floors. Outside market is cheaper than the clock towers but make sure to haggle prices.

Faisal is very helpful, friendly and cooperative. Always doing his work with a smile on his face and makes us feel welcome. His cleaning of our room, bathroom and the reception area is exceptional. He’s also careful to replenish any missing items in the room, like water, toothpaste, shampoo, etc.

I checked in the hotel on 29th October and whilst check in went smooth, I would not recommend this hotel at all. This is not 5 star standard at hotel which can be seen from my pictures of the bathroom. My bathroom seat was broken in the bathroom and the draw in the room was also damaged. The breakfast was very average compared to hotels I have stayed in the past in Saudi. As a summary, I would advise everyone that there a much more better hotels in the area with better service and would recommend to stay there.

Excellent location. Independent entrance so not crowded like for other hotels that have entrances in malls. A bit old but very neat rooms. And to top it off the staff is very helpful and courteous.

  • 5/5 Zaara A. 8 months ago on Google
Amazing, hospitality the reception went out of their way we stayed here for two nights and it was such a memorable experience. We wanted to check out at 2:30 pm because we had an intention to pray inside haram. Requested the room staff and they were more than happy to say ok. It was a different feeling here.

All the family enjoyed the stay big time. It was amazing for 5 nights. The check-in was very quick ; the rooms are amazing with one of the best Kaaba views I have ever seen. Elevators are so quick comparing it to others. Room service and housekeeping are very responsive. The breakfast was magnificent; the team is so friendly and humble. Specially Asharf; he was even taking care of the kids where they have enjoyed a lot the kids day each Fridays and Saturdays.

Great hotel. Despite the amount of rooms the lifts were quick I didn't have to wait that long compared to other hotels. Also the cleaners were very helpful, shout out to Muhammad Ishaque. The restaurant was very spacious with a variety of different food.

Our stay was more than we would ever expect at Swissotel. This place is beyond luxurious, starting with the details of the whole interior, the experience from arrival until checkout is absolute professional and welcoming. We couldn’t ask for more, Mr. Sualleh was the best host but a big well done to all the staff! Keep up this excellent work you do, and we are definitely looking forward to returning soon!

Friendly and cooperative staff. Clean spacious rooms with view of Haram. Hot showers with amenities. Toilets on the small side. Iron, hair dryer and extra pillows. Wide selection of breakfast options. Spacious dining room. Excellent service. Recommended stay.

Great Experience!! A must visit- Spacious rooms and toilets. Good service. Close proximity to haram 😊 Wonderful and large variety of food in buffet. One thing which needs to be included is an extra bed for family of four. As sofa-cum-bed was not so comfortable. I hope management will look into this and will be resolved on my next visit 😜 Well done team!!!

I stayed here for a week with my family. The location and room view is absolutely wonderful .. the bedding is comfortable and staff are very professional. My only concerns were: - the shower has no cold water, it runs hot despite the selection.. this was worrisome, we ended up using a largish container and mixed cold water from the sink - quite a few of the power points in the room were not working, we couldn’t use some next to the bed and ended up taking turns on the ones that worked - fridge in room was not working well, our milk went off and the food items kept in the fridge were warm. - there was no freezer compartment to the fridge (mind you, even if there were I don’t think it would have worked considering the fridge was running hot) so we had to request for ice from room service. - need option to request hard pillows - breakfast buffet was great and staff very helpful, but on our last day (which was beginning of Hajj period) the buffet selection got limited?? not sure whether this is the norm during the Hajj period.

The hotel is really nice with great breakfast variety. The only annoying issue is with elevators and having to constantly reach out to the front desk for requested items. However, Hashmat provided wonderful cleaning services for our room (2727 and 2710). Really satisfied.

Had a very pleasant stay! The Service is exceptional like no other hotel! All the staff are very friendly and always willing to help with a smile! Omar did a great job for us ! Atif was there to help us with literally everything, from luggage to taxi! Really loved the service of both these gentlemen and would definitely visit again because of their extraordinary hospitality, cleanliness and room view! Really recommend the hotel
