This tour is perfect to lear more about Medellín and Colombia in general. We visited the center of Medellín, went up by MetroCable to a Comuna, had a stop at Casa de Memoria (really recommendable) and a local market. After a couple weeks of living and working in Medellin, I felt a little trapped in my fancy, fun and very touristy neighborhood. The I found Onygotours and Braulio opened Medellin up to me giving me accessibility through the metro system, an ironic reversal of how the metro has changed the lives of Paisas living in disadvantaged neighborhoods ultimately “transforming” Medellin. Braulio has a wonderfully wide breadth of knowledge, everything from social and political to economics and history. More importantly, he is open and honest in a natural conversational way, not a rehearsed tour guide script. This tour is a must-do!
