One of my favourite breakfast spots in the CBD. I always come back for their Avocado Toast, which is served over beetroot hummus, whipped feta, tomato, almond dukkah & a poached egg. I just love the dish's presentation and how everything goes well together. Their coffee is a hit and miss tho.

We've been here before and in the past it was nice from memory, we're both big fans of breakfast menus so theres no reason to not love this, until today. The waiters looked like they didnt wanna be there and yes it was very busy but Im sure its not their first rodeo. One waiter just randomly took our chair then dropped it back, the other couldnt stuffed cleaning our table, no checking of vaccinations or following covid safety. The food was awful, my partner had a simple avo on toast that tasted .. frozen? Old? Used? We didn't know how to describe it.. It was just awful. I had the the waffles and it was as if they were premade and just reheated - They were incredibly dry and just felt like a mouthful of bread that I couldn't swallow, even with the icecream meltef and smothered in maple it was still so dry, even other guests we're disappointed and could tell. The coffee was burnt, rushed and thus tasted bad, my watermelon juice was 80 percent just pulp from the bottom of a jug stored away and smelt bad. I do appreciate the waiter taking at least the avo off the bill but we're still disappointed and wont be coming back again, especially with so many amazing other breakfast joints nearby. Try take control of your restaurant before it takes control of you.

Got a bacon and egg roll with a latte on Saturday 8 AM. The roll was decent and the latte was great. The staff was quite friendly to chat with.

Finding this cafe was such a great start to our holiday in Melbourne. We were holding out for a decent coffee and we were delighted by the long blacks we received at Mock Turtle. Not only that, the service was fantastic - timely and attentive. The food was the best part! I ordered an egg benedict with bacon and my partner ordered the brekkie burger. Both were super tasty and very generous in their portions! We were full and adequately caffeinated for hours 😊

As someone from Perth, this part of Melbourne was equivalent to the business of the whole hay street. I saw this place and it stood out, so I decided to have some breaky here. That was the best decision I made, I ordered the waffles and it was sooo delicious and presented so well. Everything went well together and the service was awesome. Definitely suggest coming here, I definitely will again!

Excellent service. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The sweetness feels purely organic with the fruit and syrup, just the right amount. This is the definition of simple feel good waffles 🤤 My friend and I requested a share plate and another set of cutlery to this single serve dish and the cafe took the extra step of care by surprising us with beautifully decorated plates for each 🧡

Thick thick froth for a flat white but cup size is right. Coffee is on the hot side (nicer than being tepid!) Not sure the beans or extraction are anything special. Can't see the brand anywhere. It's nice coffee, it's fine. But not an artisan brew. Chirpy friendly staff 😊

Cool place on a hopping street. The Brekkie Burger was exactly what I was hoping and praying for. Great coffee as well.

Good reliable breakfast and coffee. (And the food came out fast and hot! Unlike a more famous one around the corner I tried…). Mainly outdoor table seating, with some bench style seating inside.

Cosy place for good food and coffee. We were just looking to have a light breakfast and ordered a breakfast wrap to share. The staff was so kind to cut it into two without us asking for it.

Decent food, average wait time, not too long and nice service. Being a laneway it was extremely busy and it was Saturday morning. Waffle was amazing and the beetroot sauce was also.

Food was lovely, had the brekkie burger and thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was great, attentive staff and food arrived quickly. Only slight issue was the coffee was a tad bitter overall a lovely breakfast and better than some higher rated places around the CBD in my opinion.

My partner and I decided to give this little cafe a go and we were in love! The staff were amazing and really down to earth, the atmosphere was lovely and the design of the little ledge was perfect to place drinks, phones etc. Fairly average wait time on the food, coffee is made perfectly ( from one barista to another)🥰, the food was presented stunningly and the size was massive for the price! Would recommend going and would go again for sure. Also loved the music playing as well 💜

Sat down and was happily surprised at the Instant table service. But that was just the tip of the iceberg! The coffee, whilst a touch hot, was one of the smoothest blends I've had the delight to try. Will absolutely be coming back whenever I can. Thanks so much 💚

Such a great breakfast place! Had the waffles and chilli scramble and everything about them was perfect. And the coffee was incredible, not too bitter. Thanks staff, you knocked it out of the park ❤️

Had a long black coffee and was really pleased, very tasty and only $4. Great customer service, friendly staff. Didn’t have any food, but probably won’t come back for food as it’s a bit pricey ($27 for a poke ball and $24 for smashed avocado). Highly recommend

Delicious & creative food, pleasant staff and a comfy spot to enjoy your meal while you watch the throngs go by. Will certainly be one of my go-to places in the Melbourne area.

This has been our fav spot pre-covid however we after lockdown when we ordered smashed avo we found it different, previous version I’d say was much nicer and more flavour. it had beets hummus and this one is rather simple. Nonetheless love the place and coffee is always great!

The food is good, but unfortunately, the cashier was not nice at all. I did a simple question and she did not understand (I wanted to know if my boyfriend who would buy food from another store could eat inside with me)... She decided to not speak and just write the order. She was so rude. She did not answer the question.

Great location, delicious food (loved Philly Cheese Steak sandwich) and amazing, friendly service. The waiter accidentally took to wrong order, but when I bought it to his attention he immediately fixed it and was so polite and apologetic about it. 😋😁
