A wonderful safe, clean park to visit. Spent about 4 hours there and will def have to go back. The visitor center has the map and info if you are new to going. Also, mostly clean restrooms. The same building has a cute giftshop as well. This building sets atop the land of Hyde Lake. Adjacent to it is Coastal Fish company, which we plan to return and visit. 1st we visited the dog park area, lots of fields and some small ponds/lakes for your dog to cool off in. Huge amount to just be able to run and play, as that area dogs can be off leash. Then we went to the Hyde park area, walked around Hyde Lake, sat on some waterside lounge chairs. They have scooter and bike rentals there (via an app). Also a boat rental, but it appeared close (think everything opens 4/23 on water rentals). Definitely plan to return to do the horseback riding, the miniature golf and ape adventure area, as well as check out some of the wooded trails. This park, if guessing, to experience everything would take a solid weekend, perhaps 2 weekends. Gorgeous views!

Went to Starry Nights again. We had a good time. The line to get in is the biggest issue. As we got closer to the area (to confirm that we paid) when we funneled down to one lane, my wife noted that some people were stopping in the street and attempting to order, instead of pulling over into the parking spaces (next to the food truck) they were ordering food and drinks from the food truck, and blocking others from being able to proceed into the venue. It would be a good idea to have an additional person there to make sure things go smoothly, and traffic to flow through quicker, instead of blocking the traffic flow, to get to the light's without such a long wait to enter.

I visit a LOT of parks (producing events) and honestly this on has to be at the top of the list!! Take a long walk on one of there many trails and see for yourself! Beautiful views of the lake from every side. Thatโ€™s not all thereโ€™s beautiful architecture, buildings, artwork, landscaping etc.

Shelby Farms Park is by far Memphis's Greatest outdoor attraction. Not only are there a variety of places to roller skate or ride bikes, the walking paths always inspire my wife work out. I have seen plenty of people enjoying fishing and swimming in a rented Canoe boat. This park is great for dog and children because they offer two separate parks a Park for dogs and two parks for children a water park and a playground be careful though is has sand. I can't wait to Host an event I would love to BBQ here. I have seen many individuals throw parties and gatherings here. They have an event center if anyone wanted to throw an exclusive event. Another note they have a gift shop. Overall the park is a great place you can't rent bikes, scooters, and boats. Expect to have fun at shelby Park farms. I'll see ya there.

Miles and miles of acreage to enjoy the great outdoors. I've been cycling and walking here and feel like I only scratched the surface of what is offered. Always something new to do when visiting! A great place to appreciate nature, be active, take the family out or even on a cute date!

This morning, we went horseback riding at Shelby Farms Park Stables. Our trail adventure has been one of the highlights of our trip to Memphis. The wonderful all volunteer staff were so kind and helpful. The trail was peaceful and shaded about 60% of the time. We saw about a dozen deer and lots of squirrels. While a riding through the meadow, several of us had butterflies land on our hands or legs. All of the horses were well-trained and responded to the rider. I would definitely recommend this experience!

The most wonderful and well-thought-out place in Memphis. You must go when you are in town or if you live here. Fresh air, lots of trails, And a great meeting place for friends or a walk by yourself. Take your camera and your dog (at least most places)! And a great meeting place for friends or a walk by yourself. Great restaurants and a lovely gift shop that supports the park. 1st class and a must see.

I absolutely love this place! The scenery is beautiful whether you walking on one of the numerous trails or around the water. There bathrooms are kept decently clean. Wonderful playground for children. A few amount of attractions. Beautiful places to eat and always something to do. Donate to keep it beautiful. Have lost almost 100 lbs just walking and enjoying nature.๐Ÿ’–

A nice place to unwind stress in Memphis and environs. A vast area with cycling ๐Ÿšฒ ground and a water body for water sports suchasfishing. Children's amusement sites for shrills and gigglings. Convenient place for Get-together for friends and family, picnics and parties ๐Ÿฅณ ๐ŸŽ‰ โœจ๏ธ.

Beautiful, clean park. Clean, modern restrooms. Plenty of parking / ease of access. I was here for kayaks and cocktails and had a ton of fun first of all with the hour or so of kayaking tour and then with the food, drinks, and activities.

Itโ€™s a very nice place but the large groups of woman with no mask on , always finds a way to push you off the paths when thereโ€™s enough room for everybody but besides that is a very nice place

Always love going to the Farms ๐Ÿ’œ depending on where you enter, you can find absolute silence which is always strange because itโ€™s in the city. Today I walked down to the beach on the wolf river. It was so nice and very few people had ventured out. I saw a deer in the trees but she ran off just as I had my camera up.

BEST Dog Park(s) In America!! The open Leash park is ALSO filled with amazing Locals that really help the new pups feel right at home, give you tricks and tips to enjoy the journey. We have a picnic here EVERY time we drive across the country. We go out of our way to make sure we visit. This was our first year without our boxers. Very sad. It was also our first time with ATKA, our Alaskan Malamute. He had the time of his life. Our BUNNY did too!! And the kids had the best of times. We love this place soooooo much!

I love the improvements Shelby Farms has made! It looks great. The grounds have been really well maintained, and the fact we can host huge events like what is pictured, the park architects have done an amazing job. I also love the spots around the grounds where you can do different activities like the zip line and paddle boards, fishing and the beautiful nature views. It is also really important to keep the buffalo in the city. The area they are now is great, I just hope they grow the area.

My fiancรฉ and I did the canoe and cocktails tour with the added dinner for our anniversary. We both had a blast! Nice atmosphere, friendly workers, very inexpensive and the view was beyond gorgeous. Our only complaint was the food & beer we were served afterwards. Other than that, we had an amazing time and weโ€™ll definitely be back to do it again!

Nice open areas, 2 mile trail around the river that provides a good workout. Has been a few reports on twitter from people going in the greenline trail about sexual harassment. Make sure you bring a friend for safety/prevention. Be careful and be safe, guys.

My party of four went on an hour ride. Molly was our guide. She did a fantastic job. I rode Dolly and I enjoyed her. Sometimes she wanted to do her own thing but I like a challenge. I talked to and about her. I think she liked getting fussed at and she's very gready. We had a great time and we will go back.

I want to recommend Shelby Farms to everyone living in TN. This is a great spot for tourists as well ๐Ÿ™‚ I really enjoyed walking around the beautiful lake. There were huge swings to sit on. Also, really nice tables and chairs to relax at with family and friends!!! It was fun to see everyone walking, jogging, roller blading, etc. I am really impressed with how clean it was(no trash on the ground anywhere)!! There was plenty of parking- no hassle. This was an awesome experience!!

I very much enjoy this place, but would enjoy my time there if the general public were more courteous of others. First thing I notice every visit is dog droppings everywhere around Hyde Lake. Even somehow on the main sidewalk. Have to dodge those, and definitely too big to be from the local geese/ ducks. Just don't bring your dog if you're not prepared with doggy bags please. Or head on over to the actual leash free dog designated area of the park. Rude visitors taking up the entire sidewalk and forcing others off. Not to mention the people who choose to group up and stand still in the middle of the main sidewalk (forcing others to walk around with pretty much zero respect about the six foot social distancing rule) when there are literal fields they could stand in instead. Some people are here to do some exercise and better themselves. Again, would love it here more if people had manners. Would appreciate courtesy signs like "please don't block the sidewalk" and "keep to the right side of the sidewalk" so they can get a clue, but they probably don't know how to read either.

I took this trip 2 weeks ago and it was absolutely breath taking. My guide, Mary, I believe was her name, was very friendly and patient. I was lucky that I paid for an 1hr and half trip but was the only one that was there so I got a private tour. We had a little fall in a whole but it was okay the horse wasn't hurt and I got a rush of adrenaline. The 90 min ride was definitely longer than I expected and my legs were sore. If you have a chance check them out!

This place connects me most easily and conveniently to the outdoors I love so much. Fun bike trails, walking trails, open spaces and awesome activities. Set up a hammock in the warm weather or grab your mountain bike. Maybe go zip lining through the trees. Lastly, check out the bison herd and the ponds for fishing.

The Christmas lights were amazing! Pretty your ticket online to save $5 off the cash price of $30. A lot of places to stop and take selfish with the lights. All the volunteers were incredibly friendly and you have to option to get hot chocolate and corndogs at the beginning. Super impressed with how well everything ran and how smooth it was to get in and through despite hundreds and hundreds of cars. Wtg Shelby Farms!

Visiting for a large geocaching event and did some exploring throughout the day. Had a great time hiking (and caching) and loved the Mexican fusion food from near the visitor centre. Staff in all venues were very pleasant. Definitely planning on visiting again once the weather improves

First time visiting this park and it was lovely. We didn't get to see the bison roaming, but we didn't have enough time to search for them either. Kids enjoyed the play area, the open trails here are very free roaming. Pet friendly. Zip lines located here as well. I wish we had parks like this back in FL.

The best park I've ever been to, though I haven't been to many large parks like this. Hyde Lake is a wonderful spot to watch the sunrise/sunset. Kayaks, canoes, ziplines, rental bikes, special events, rental pavilions, seafood restaurant, souvenir shop, restrooms, grills, Tour de Wolf mountain bike path, children's play area, large sand box, swinging benches, walkable trails, dedicated no-leash dog park, Buffalo, horseback ridingโ€”lots of things to do here! There's a dedicated separate biking path around Hyde Lake, just watch out for oblivious walkers who don't know what the bike images all over the path mean. The big negative? Being located in Memphis means you will encounter some ghetto people, complete with cringe-worthy inappropriate outfits, gang clothing, loud rap music from portable speakers, and the occasional uncontrolled Pitbull. The staff does an excellent job cleaning up all their trash that they carelessly litter about. Despite several large lakes/ponds, there is nowhere to actually swim. They have an overpriced splash pad that you have to reserve by time slot, but no pool. There's also no place to change clothes for the splash pad. It is probably for the best that there is no public pool here, since the ghetto element would show up and swim in their dirty boxers, old gym shorts, and nasty socks. Enforcing appropriate swimwear would be a nightmare for staff, since the go-to response would always be to pull the race/racism card. Whether you want to enjoy the sights, view wildlife, ride horses, kayak, bike, or many other things, you just can't go wrong with Shelby Farms.

This park is beautiful and well maintained. I visited from out of town during my visit to Memphis. We enjoyed walking around the park but the attractions are expensive. The splash pad is $12 per person for a small water area. There were no other kids playing in it and we didn't pay for it either. Every attraction costs money. Some are reasonable, and others are not.

My kids and I are frequent visitors to the park. We have enjoyed most of the features paddle boats, horseback riding, zip line, picnics. This day was a first for fishing. My youngest and I have never fished before. We had a ball. Will definitely be a new Mommy and son outing for now on.

It's a very nice clean park. I love the trail. I like how they offer a separate bike trail and walk trail during most of the trail. The lake view makes the walk not seem long!! Love it.

Last summer we canoed with our canoe at Hyde Lake. Saturday, September 2, we rented 2 single person kayaks. We had a blast The crew at the boat house were helpful in getting our lifejackets and launching us. The lake is beautiful and very clean. In fact the entire park is very clean. Our only issue was that there isn't clear signage for the boathouse.

Beautiful park for kayaking on the lake, mountain biking trails, kayaking the wolf river, jogging. There is a restaurant, kayak rental and more. We saw osprey last week and there are always deer at sunset. They have bison as well. It's a cool spot.

Great place. Wonderful, spacious playground area. Peaceful atmosphere with lots to do. There are horse stables with horses you can pay to ride, zip lines on the weekend, a sprayground, an event center, trails to jog, bike etc. on, rentable kayaks, and buffalo. We saw a huge family of deer one day when we left at around dusk. Itโ€™s a great place to get away from the crowds. The sprayground is a little pricy for its size but on Tuesdays kids can go for free for an hour.
