Meursault is the perfect place to stay if you want to tour the Burgundy region. This hotel is one of the most memorable we've experienced in many years of travel in France. Perfect location, clean, spacious and comfortable rooms, a lovely garden to picnic or have a glass of wine in, and helpful, caring owners. We can't imagine a nicer place to stay.
Arriving at Le Caveau of Hotel les Charmes, we were welcomed in as if we were in a friends house. Adrien was an excellent host (spoke perfect English) who clearly has found his calling in life. Along with the beautiful interior of this building, the owner of Les Charmes has created a great ambience for a wine bar in Burgundy. It feels a unique place for hospitality in Burgundy. The food options are outstanding - offering a wide affordable range of small share plates which you can enjoy along with some very well selcted Burgandy’s. We love the range of hospitality offerings in Mersault but this tops them all.
Superb breakfast on the terrace. Huge gardens with large ancient trees providing shade which we had a picnic in with wine. And it has a lovely outside pool. Staff were really friendly. Fan in room. This village is also great for sampling the superb white wines of the region. We will be back, book direct with them for best price.
