I tried many local bars while in Ghent and this is my favourite. The staff were lovely, the beer selection is copious, and the vibe in the bar is perfect. It's not as touristy as others such as Dulle.

A lot of tourists come here but also locals so don’t think it’s a tourist trap just because you here a lot of spanish and english around you. The beer selection is great, the location in the middle of historic Gent is great, staff is friendly, prices are fair and the pub just has the right belgian atmosphere. So if you want to enjoy great belgian beers the Trollekelder is a great place for that!
