I spent 2 weeks here while I was having dental work done, it is so relaxed and low key and right in the center of the city. it is simple but clean, the pool is amazing and so are the staff. All rooms include breakfast and they have have a small kitchen for a quick bite to eat if you don't feel like going out. The Main square is about five blocks away and there is always a cab rolling by if you want to explore. I love this place and I will return.

I stayed here for one night in a premium double room. The room was very spacious and perfectly accommodated. The "balcony" is a bit of a stretch given the size of it but it did not matter to me so much. The hotel is also perfectly located, right in the middle of the city. You will be able to walk everywhere with no issues. Highly recommended!

Excellent location, almost in the downtown. You may park your car either in house, or in the neighbourhood (open carpark). Good value for money level (breakfast, car parking included). Helpful staff at the reception. Pictures of the hotel on Google make it appear in a more favourable light... General renovation is highly recommended, to give the colonial style and shine of the building back. Whitewashing, wall painting would be needed several areas.

It’s like a time capsule from one of those hotels in Spain that had business in the 80s serving English people, place is very outdated and clearly not much design thought went in when designing the rooms, more like “hey let’s get office chairs and put them in the room, the tiles are old school and not in a nice classic way. That said, it has AC and a tv with a good shower. One thing you need to know, forget the bfast they serve, just go out and find a nice cafe/bfast as it’s not up to standard and there are plenty around in the city center

Good hotel for the price. Simple, but friendly and clean. I hurt myself and needed a few stitches. I've been lucky that the concierge, Alfonso, had some medical training and could provide a first help kit and help me stop the bleeding. He then called several places to see which one could perform stitches. He was amazingly friendly and helpful.

I loved this hotel... for price, there is a lot of value. We had a room on the 2nd floor facing the pool that was in the center. It was clean and very refreshing when it's really hot and humid. Every morning, there is a breakfast included with scrambled eggs and veggies, banana, and beans. All you can drink is juice, coffee, tea and coffee cake plus cristini bread. All the staff we encountered were super helpful and friendly. We arrived early, and they put our stuff aside for us while we swam. The room had a good air conditioner, and wifi worked really well. We also had a scooter, and they had free parking in their garage. We hope to be back again in the future.

This place is very authentic and has its charm. The rooms are very spacious. The hotel has its own parking space, so if you visit Merida by car, it's a great choice. The centre is pretty close too. The cons of this place: - Free wifi, but there's no connection I couldn't use it during my stay, 3 days. - Breakfast is meant to be "American", not sure what it means, but it was only 2 options of hot food (scrambled egg and rice), toast and cereal with milk. Worst breakfast comparing the other places I've been during this trip. - The rooms have very thin walls so you can hear your neighbours.

Looks like the original part needs some decoration but other than unusual breakfast service a jolly affordable place to stay. Clean , good swimming pool and nice staff.

Room totally fine. Just dont eat here. The italians would arrest them for their pizzas. Its very noisy the whole time. Children screaming the wohle day and evening.

Very charming. But needs a lot of upgrading. Simple breakfast of scrambled eggs and a starch. And cereal and banana - included in the price of the room. Beds were ok. But the pillows were the most uncomfortable. I'm guessing they were washed many times cuz they were very lumpy.

A large, traditional Mexican hotel. The courtyards are relaxing and the pool looks nice. The rooms are in need of updating but are functional.

Older hotel. Rooms and beds need a serious overhaul. Somewhat close to historical places. Restaurant on sight could be better but food is ok. Breakfast is typically a Mexican breakfast with beans rice and the ham and egg combo. Overall the price is the best thing about this location.

Nice hotel convenientlly located a 10 min walk from the main square and city centre. The building is a colonial house with inner court and swimming pool, perfect to chill during the hottest hours of t he day. Rooms face the inner court, they are quiet, big, with big comfy beds, fan and aircon. Good shower with powerful hot/cold water. WIFI is strong, both in the rooms and inner court. Breakfast is buffet style and rather simple, with bread, butter, jam, cereals, bananas, coffee, and a couple of savoury options like scrambled eggs and beans.

Don't rely on the elevator. We stayed 9 nights, and half the time it was out of order, which made it difficult for my mom to get to our third floor room. Also, don't rely on them for internet in the rooms because it sometimes comes and goes. I was able to use the internet in the pool area for work, but it wasn't convenient. The fan in the room looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months, and the room lacked 3-prong outlets. Also, no washclothes or microwaves, although they did bring a mini fridge to the room upon request. Only one room key, so you better not loose it! Pool was clean but freezing cold. Good points: Plenty of hot water for showers, daily housekeeping, relaxing pool area, self-service laundry, air conditioning worked great, helpful desk staff, and the simple free breakfast was nice every morning. Considering the low price compared to the US, it was excellent!

We love this hotel, we have stayed there twice now. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable. The breakfast is not wonderful, but is included, so for the price I won’t complain. We like being close to the central plaza, but beware that this area is very busy with busses so walking to and from the hotel is not enjoyable. There is secure parking which is very nice. Once you are inside the hotel all is well.

Very rude customer service. Over charged and not helpful or accommodating at all. Do not go there.

Sincere mid-range hotel in Centro neighborhood of Merida. When I was there, I didn't really notice any other US/Canadian visitors, as all of the other guests appeared to be locals. English is spoken at the front desk. As others have said, breakfast is included but probably worth looking elsewhere. Nearby Wayan 'e is the go-to. Rooms were fine. And my housekeeper, Lydia, was both efficient and sweet. The room had A/C, but at least the one in my room (#261) was not up to the task of cooling the room on the 90-100 degree days. It was also surprisingly loud, given how little it actually cooled. You shouldn't drink the tap water in Mexico. But there is an ice machine near the front desk which draws its water from a reverse-osmosis filter. There is also a faucet behind the machine where you can fill up your water bottles. So once you buy one bottle of water at the nearby Super Aki grocery store, you can just do refills from there. The pool is nice, and the hub of social activity. This is a very family-oriented place, with plenty of kids. It was a very nice overall stay.

The Hotel features historic looking buildings. It’s located near the center of the city. A lots stores and activities are in walking distance. The hospitality offered by the staff is amazing.

Beautiful hotel. Rooms are comfortable with large enough bathrooms and hot washer, high pressure. They could be a notch cleaner but ok for the price. Beds very comfy. The breakfast is simple but good/filling: they bring you a plate with scrambled eggs and beans, or eggs and noodles, it varies every 3 days. Then bread and same cake pieces every day that you can take as many as you eat. Coffee and orange juice too plus a banana. There is no free coffee outside breakfast hours (7-10am). Location is ok - 5 blocks from main square so great, but those 5 blocks are on very narrow streets where all people wait for buses every min of each day - so it's a zoo... if it rains it is even worse... all in all very good value, would stay again... oh, internet is pretty spotty, goes on and off devices. Could not use one of the laptops, but the other one worked and we used our phones with data a lot too.
