Reserved the Rex Room for a college graduation party. Everything was absolutely amazing. Service, atmosphere, food, and drink. We had a set 4 course menu with a couple different options. The only thing that was a little strange and is there own special recipe was the Oyster Rockefeller. The Pompano Pontchartrain with crab topping was amazing. All in all great boozy dinner. The room was super cool and can handle groups 20+.

The overall experience of Jazz brunch at Antoine's Restaurant was enjoyable. I did find the food a bit average given the price. I would recommend trying the baked Alaska or the bread pudding if you like desserts. The Soufflé Potatoes were recommended by our server and turned out to be quite tasty. The service was very good. 4.0

Antoine's is a history rich location that you won't want to miss. If you are planning a nice meal out while visiting I recommend making this stop a priority. Antoine's is the oldest restaurant in the US opening in 1840. We had lunch there which was very reasonable prices for the luxury atmosphere. Two course winter lunch was $25 and for $18 you can do a bottomless mimosa. Delicious!! Not on the menu but a must is the oyster sampler. My husband and I couldn't decide which oysters to get so why not try them all? My favorite was the charbroiled oysters but the others were just as good. I also had the duo potato bisque topped with truffle oil and it was so smooth and melted in the mouth. I ate the gulf fish which was perfectly seasoned and chef's kiss! My only complaint was that the Creole shrimp was a little under seasoned but besides that we were in love with the service and atmosphere. Our bill was about $110 with cocktails, appetizer, and our entrees. Great deal for the luxury experience. 10/10 would recommend.

This place is a must. I went for the 2020 three course meal. Everything was delicious starting with hot french bread. The Gumbo was tasty. The Rosemary Chicken was savory. And the Eggnog Carmel dessert was sweet. I had forgotten my umbrella at the hotel and as soon as I was done eating, there was a downpour. I stood outside waiting for the rain to let up, and the manager comes over to me outside and asks if he could assist me. I told him I was waiting for the rain. He asked me to follow him to his office upstairs, and he gave me a red umbrella (TRUE STORY). I am blown away by the southern hospitality at this restaurant!! Giving a perfect stranger your umbrella. Process that for a moment.

Had a wonderful wedding anniversary dinner here. Beautiful interior throughout all rooms, with a wine vault in the back. The soft shell crabs were cooked to the perfection. Various ways of oysters tasted fantastic. Bottomless mimosas, champagne, rosé….etc was the perfect touch to this meal. With a Baked Alaskan which was a perfect way to end this wonderful meal!!! Great service by Chuck & Hannah. They are very knowledgeable of the menu, attentive service with courteous attitude. Don’t forget to have the band play a little by your table 😉

I really enjoyed my experience at Antoine's! I booked a reservation for a friend and I for jazz brunch (which I think only happens on Sundays, but I'm not positive) and it was lovely. Great ambiance in the restaurant and our server, Craig, was so kind and attentive. The musicians came around to every table to personally play for them for a short amount of time. They don't play the same songs for every table either. They personalize the experience for each table and play music based on what the table is interested in and what they're celebration (for example, they may play a song inspired by your hometown or they'll play "happy birthday"). The food was great too. The potato souffle appetizer was unlike anything I've ever had before! It was light, fluffy, and airy and paired with a light sauce for dipping. I had the eggs benedict and thought they were great, though I'm no expert. Overall great experience and I'd come back here.

Food was good but nothing to write home about. It was very pricey and portions were very small. Ambiance was extremely gorgeous. Our favorite was the Pompano, Almondine Fishes and the Baked Alaska. Service by the server's assistant was superb. He gets 5 stars!

The servers and the hostesses were top of their game. Came here for senior luncheon everything was delicious. But the salad didn’t taste wonderful I felt like I was eating grass with spicy Italian dressing on top. The fried fish had nuts on top which add a slight nut taste. The bread was the best part of the meal. It was hot and fresh and they gave you fresh butter

I loved the service. The guys made sure all of our wants and needs were taken care of and did it with a smile. The food was delicious. We ordered the oysters, steak, shrimp & grits, and everything was stellar. The cocktails were well made and not watered down like some places. It was a great dining experience 👌

I tried the set lunch menu and was satisfied. Service: The staff are fantastic and everyone knows their role. They’re polite, kind, and offer an upscale experience while wearing formal attire. I believe the staff are trained to deliver a specific type of high end service which they execute well. Food: I’d say the food was good. Everything was plated with finesse and was served hot. The butternut squash bisque was rich, creamy and flavoursome. The champagne chicken was dry and over cooked but the dish was saved by its tasty seasonings and sauces. The bread pudding was of good quality with a decadent sauce and fresh cream. Overall: If you want to have a fine dining experience, this is a great place to dress up for and the food is not bad. It’s a decent bucket list experience and the lunch menu is economically priced. However; there is better food in New Orleans.

Made reservation for the first dinner of our New Orleans visit. Beautiful, elegant setting. Service is really great, make you feel very comfortable. Food wise, I really enjoyed the oyster sampler which I liked all three flavors, baby spinach salad is very flavorful, my son ordered the lamb, also very good. My husband ordered the steak, surprisingly very bland and dry. We forgot to order their signature desert baked Alaska at the beginning of our meal, but the other deserts we ordered were all very tasty. Really enjoyed the walk passing their impressive wine cellar and the historical dinning rooms.

Service was exceptional. Food, not so much. We started off with oysters: Rockefeller and charbroiled. The Rockefeller were so bad we couldn’t finish them (not to mention the look of them. The pictures in other reviews are exact). They had this over-the-top old gooey spinach look and taste. The charbroiled were better, but we had to chew carefully around the bits of shell we had in most bites. My husband got the steak, and I got the Pompano Pontchartrain fish. The steak was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The fish was supposed to have a white wine reduction, however, the only sauce on the fish was butter. When I inquired about the “white wine reduction”, my waiter told me it was on the fish & offered to bring me a side of it. Comically, the side of “reduction” was clearly butter & tasted just like melted butter (as you can see in the picture). The fish was overcooked and was not worth the $46 they charge. I will say that the crab on it was the best part of that dish. We finished with the Baked Alaska…looks great, but leaves your tastebuds wanting better.

The place does have a no dress code option on the bar side which is nice for people that don't want to be told how to dress. The oysters were the best I've had in my life, the filet was good but the sides were below average. Sausage was enjoyable. Staff was great, polite, pleasant to be around. They all seem to take their job seriously and they don't feel like they're annoyed like most places. Definitely would be back even just for a few drinks

Very good friend recommended Antoine’s restaurant even before I arrived so definitely it’s the first spot I hit in NOLA other than my hotel. The service is fantastic and the dishes are pretty good! The history of this place alone with 5 generations of family business operation non-stop, is an amazing tale already! Love Craig’s recommendation to mix my creole shrimp garlic rice with crab meat, though a bit on the expensive side adding together but the seafood is so fresh! Craig told me that the seafood is fresh every morning. After my lunch, Was fortunate to be taken to the rooms & back of the restaurant and was introduced the rich history of the rooms, the history of photos, displays & ornaments, the wine cellar, etc. Unforgettable experience!

This is the first time we've been here and everything was excellent. We had reservations and we were able to get a table a few minutes early. The place was packed. The waitstaff was prompt and friendly. The wine selection is one of the best. Mixed drinks are top notch. My fish was delicious.

The home of Oysters Rockefeller is not to be missed when visiting New Orleans. A wonderful old restaurant with magnificent furnishings & black tie waiters. The dress restrictions have been relaxed so smartly dressed people are all welcome to enjoy the delicious food here. We had grilled fish with lumps of crab meat and shared a plate of mixed oysters. Everything was delicious, the service was wonderful and the bill wasn’t as big as we expected. A memorable meal & dining experience.

From beginning to end, the service was phenomenal, the waiters were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable of the history of their facility and foods through their presentation. I atmosphere was great and the ambiance was very pleasant and mild. I highly recommend others to visit this fine dining and exquisite restaurant.

We came for brunch and had such a lovely experience. Our waiter had great energy and made us feel welcomed. We started with the charbroiled oysters. Wow 10/10! We will be coming back just for those. I got shrimp and grits, which were okay. My boyfriend had the fried chicken picnic lunch, and that was better. We indulged in the bottomless mimosa/champagne add on, for only $18 that is an amazing deal (we also go to-go cups of champagne on our way out). We got the peach cobbler to end things, and that was also very delicious.

Make a reservation for one of the oldest restaurants in the city, you will not regret it. I wish we could am eat breakfast/brunch there every day. 🥓The bacon was cooked perfect, I dipped move in the syrup from my French toast made from their bread they serve you🤤 not a fan of the oysters Rockefeller but he sure enjoyed them. Oh and whatever that dip was for the potato souffle, was amazing! It was almost like the hollandaise sauce on his perfectly cooked eggs benedict. 🍳 Definitely a must have if you're in town in time.

An exquisite staple of New Orleans history and culture. Mike Frazier has a refined skill-set when preparing cocktails. Thomas Schwank provided impeccable service. His charm and charisma miraculously made some of New Orleans’ best food even better. When you make a reservation, you’ll be doing yourself a favor by requesting Thomas. Enjoy!

In visiting Antoine's for the first time to support restaurant week, I read there was a dress code, and I know it is an extremely historic and popular restaurant. I followed the dress code, but noticed that many others didn't. That is something I'd recommend updating. If I could have worn nice jeans, sandals, and a tank, I would have opposed to dressing per the guidelines. When I walked in with a smile, the hostess didn't greet meet, she stood there waiting for me to greet her, it appeared. And so, I proceeded with my request. The gentleman who walked me to my table also didn't greet or welcome me. He silently walked me to the table. My waiter was just as bland. He didn't welcome or greet me. He simply asked if someone else was joining and would I like something to drink. I know his name, but would prefer not to post on the review because he wasn't rude, he was just very nonchalant and dismissive of me, our entire interaction. I still tipped him. Maybe he was having a rough work day. Turns out, another gentleman named Mr. Terry was also my waiter. Initially I thought he was a manager due to how upbeat and random he was! I enjoyed every interaction and tipped him cash before I knew he, too, was my waiter. He made the experience worthy. One person. I purchased the bottomless rose, and went easy, thus two. Whatever brand it was was wonderful! I read about it prior as my waiter did not speak of the bottomless special. For the appetizer I ordered the seafood duo, which was MAGNIFICENT. After the other dishes, I could have simply ordered the duo to replace oyster rockefeller and grillades and grits. Not an oyster fan, but still tried the well-known oyster rockefeller. The grillades and grits were not very visually appealing. Taste-wise, it wasn't bad, but not something I'd order again or suggest. I ended with the bread pudding. It was ok. Due to Mr. Terry, I will give Antoine's another shot and visit once more. I can't say I do or do not recommend due to my experience.

Antoine's, opened in 1840, is the oldest family run restaurant in the United States. Make reservations because it fills up. The service was upscale impeccable. We owned the table and loved our waiter. All of the food was amazing. Of course, we had the Oysters Rockefeller, which were created at this restaurant. If you order them, you get a commemorative card with your order number. You're really treated to late 1800's fine dinning in New Orleans while at Antoine's.

Wonderful dining experience. The service was impeccable and the food was perfect. We are in NOLA for my daughter's birthday and she wanted a special dining experience. Could not have chosen better. I had the filet and she had the pompano Pontchartrain with baked Alaska for dessert. They made it special with candles and by singing happy birthday. Do not miss the opportunity to eat here - the oldest restaurant in New Orleans.

The 5 stars are mostly for the food. Everything was delicious. The simple char broiled oyster was better than the oyster bienville and the oyster Rockefeller. The soft shell crab was sweet and juicy. The famous dessert “baked Alaska” was very much worth trying. Everybody loved it. Just make sure that you order it along with your meal, since the kitchen needs ample amount of time to prepare it. The ambiance was alright but it was almost too loud to hear each other across the table. Dress code was not strict at all. The service was friendly, their recommendations spot on. But we were missing a dinner set throughout the entire dinner. Thankfully each set included two knives and two forks so that we could share. It was hard to get the staff’s attention. They also charged a wrong bill with higher amount to our credit card. We caught it right away, they apologized greatly and corrected it immediately. But as of now, the wrong amount is still showing on our credit card statement.

Great experience on a nice night out in New Orleans! The serving staff was very professional and really had good knowledge of the menu. The place has lots of history and you can tell reputation is important there. The drinks were also strong and flavor. I got the creole shrimp and really enjoyed it. The texture of the shrimp was perfect, and the portion was a decent size. Would definitely recommend checking this place out to sample the culture. Overall, I give Antoine's Restaurant a 4.3 out of 5, a must visit spot off Bourbon Street!

Ate here for a private event and it was one of the best meals I've ever had. Gumbo was easily the best I've experienced and the filet was right up there as well. Can't speak for the table service, but the food is worth the trip.

I had an amazing jazz brunch there! The musicians were great and the servers were on top of the job. The food was delicious! I wish we had more time to actually enjoy the time and had to rush to go to a conference but definitely worth the visit would go back anytime! I also loved the 1840 original setting.

Wanted a fine dining experience while visiting town and decided on Antoine’s after reading the reviews. I liked that there were a wide array of dishes to choose from and I had a hard time deciding on what I wanted. I ultimately settled on the chilled seafood duo for an appetizer on the lamb chops with onion rice and asparagus for my entree. I was not crazy about the seafood duo but the lamb chops more than made up for it. They were tender and sauce on top was perfect. My date had the pompano pontchartran, which she thoroughly enjoyed. The service here was VERY good, the waitstaff was super attentive, knowledgeable and made good recommendations.

This place was another New Orleans must. It is so fun to feel surrounded by the history of the city and to taste what it has perfected over the years. The service was amazing (though be careful to note allergies and double check your order). The drinks were superb and the French 75 is highly recommended. All dishes were amazing. They are known as the creators of oysters Rockefeller but the charbroiled ones may have been even better.

It's definitely worth a visit at least once . we came for lunch, food very good and not over salted. Baked alaska for dessert was enough for four people or more ! i didn't care for the topping on this dessert. it was a heavy, sugary, sticky type of topping, almost like marshmallow sauce. it ruined this dessert, in my opinion. a light whipped cream would make it so much more delicious; but it's been made this way for years, I guess. Exceptional waiter service.

Bottomless mimosas were refilled quickly & food was out fast. Food was delicious. Service was great. Jazz brunch was underwhelming. If you’re expecting to listen to a live band during your entire meal you won’t. The band rotates throughout the rooms. We were there for almost 2 hours & only heard 3 songs.

Classic. Elegant. Delightful. Wonderful experience kicking off our 25th anniversary tour of New Orleans with a meal at the original: Antoine's. Started with escargot, mains of pampano pontchartrain and classic fish amondine then dessert of Antoine's pecan bread budding capped off with a complimentary glass of champagne (also enjoyed a bottle of white wine with our meal from their incredible wine list). 183 years of culinary excellence.

Our company’s new tradition and a first for us. The menu was beautiful, the food was delicious and pleasing to the eye. We had an absolute blast and treasured our time there. The baked Alaska is divine and went well with whatever coffee they had brewed. Their service was exceptional and will be requesting Charles and even Myles to take care of us again. They even have an after dining tour throughout the place and it was fascinating. Thank you for the fond memories and looking forward to our next years event in the Rex room!

This was my second time here. Very disappointed with the outcome. The waiter was nice and courteous, the service was quick, the appetizer (seafood duo) was very tasty but the dinner (classic fish amandine with crab) was bland, too heavily buttered, and equivalent of a $12 meal from a pub. Hardly worth $38 and Antoine's reputation. Additionally the waiter did not even come to check on the quality of the meal, or offer salt and pepper. He came when I had enough of eating a butter soaked meal and just asked if I wanted dessert. Disappointed by the experience, especially given that the first time was significantly better.

I could prattle on about this place until the end of days jabbering about the exquisite food, extraordinary service, captivating atmosphere, bewitching beverages, and enchanting overall experience. The original birthplace of Oysters Rockefeller, they give you a membership card if you order it. The deep and dark history of this storied building lends an experience all its own, apart from the dining. You should explore it. Stay away from the upper floors, though. Cold, unseen hands will caress your shoulders.

My first stop on my first trip to New Orleans and I couldn’t have chosen a better place to dine. From the cuisine, to the the service, location, and ambiance, every aspect of this place is culturally rich and steeped in history. We enjoyed touring the premises and enjoying the views from upstairs. Our server made the place feel like home from the moment we were seated. The fried fish was amongst the best I’ve had and the soufflé potatoes were an incredibly unique dish. Words really can’t do it and the photos don’t capture the full picture. Come to Antoine’s and experience fine creole dining for yourself.

It's family tradition to go to Antoine's every time we're in new Orleans, but the last few times we've been, it was such an utter and complete let down that we've voted as a family to not ruin a night of vacation for a disappointing meal and service. The bathrooms were disgusting, truly the upkeep was on par with a gas station. Was told by the waiter that the bartender didnt like to make our drinks, so dont order many. Starters have been forgotten, but still on the bill. The old days of being greeted by the same waiter after 20 years of loyal service are gone, only to be dismissed for a table of loud screaming drunk women dressed in Jean's and tank tops.

Was told by a number of locals to try their lunch special for $20, and how they had cocktails for .25 cents, and how we should ask for tour after our meal. So we made a reservations, all 4 of us were excited. But, unfortunately we left disappointed. The place was busy, possibly understaffed because we sat there for over 25 minutes before anyone took our order. Our waitress barely said anything to us. I don't blame her, she was obviously working hard, and assigned to way too many tables. We all got the lunch special, and food was nothing exciting, and portions were very small. They said they didn't do the .25 cent martini's anymore. So we got the bottomless mimosa's, but they were $15 each, which may have been worth it if our server wasn't so busy. We didn't ask for tour in the end because our server basically disappeared and we were all ready to get out of there anyway. I know it's been a tough year for restaurants, but this one of the few places that is very busy, but it seems management has either stop caring or stopped paying attention. And I fear their reputation and popularity will begin to slip rapidly if they continue what I saw today.

If you're going to this restaurant to go to the oldest family owned restaurant in New Orleans, or for a family restaurant, then it's not a bad experience. However, if you're going for a culinary experience, then this is not the right restaurant. The food was ok, nothing tasted bad, but we came here after doing some finer dining; based off the menu and prices, we were expecting more. I got the creole shrimp and my husband got the center cut filet, we split the baked alaska. Again, nothing tasted bad, but we have definitely had better shrimp and steak dishes in New Orleans for similar pricing.

So, I want to start off by saying Sheeka is the BEST! She was extremely attentive and knowledgeable. The expertise of an institution was not quite there, the food was luke warm & we felt ignored by the other servers. The reason we smiled was Sheeka, she gave us a great experience.

Big fan of the food, service, and history. Gumbo and charbroiled oysters on the half shell were delicious. We were seated in the main dining room, but don’t miss the opportunity to explore the other dining rooms. There’s so much history to explore.

Had reservations about going here, with the plethora of amazing restaurants in the area, a venerable old tourist trap was not high on our agenda, but the $21 lunch special was just too hard to resist. What a pleasant surprise! Our server Terry was perfect. Dining here was like dining in a museum with great food. We could have spent the day browsing thru the small dining rooms, reading the walls full of New Orleans history and high society. The food was great and the bottomless mimosas were truly bottomless. What a delightful place to dine.

What a wonderful NYE dinner in the Rex room. Zyjuan Hamilton was excellent. Couldn't ask for better service. Thanks Jerry Blount for a great NYE. William Crockett

The food was okay. It wasn't bad at all but I was expecting more. The highlight of the night was the delightful woman who took care of us. Chika. She made this experience at least five times better. Much love to you Chika. Thank you for existing Also, the bread pudding is delicious. I would recommend

My favorite place to eat in NOLA! The Baked Alaska is a must… you literally cannot get it anywhere else. The service was amazing with very friendly wait staff. Many have worked at Antoine’s for 10+ years. This is the first time we dined during Sunday brunch. The jazz band went around to tables and allowed song requests. The brunch menu was incredible. I highly recommend the French toast (on the menu as Pain Pardue with Smoked Bacon). It is probably the best French toast I have ever tasted! I suggest making a reservation in advance to ensure you get to experience Antoine’s.. and don’t forget to order Baked Alaska when you arrive!
