***The
Worst
Hotel
I’ve
Ever
Experienced.***
…
and
I
stay
in
hotels
all
over
the
world
for
my
work
and
have
had
some
“interesting”
experiences—
but
this
place
truly
SHOCKED
me.
I
wish
I
could
give
it
zero
stars.
We
booked
a
king
suite
here
for
two
nights.
Once
we
arrived
we
were
told
our
room
was
no
longer
available
and
the
only
option
offered
us
was
a
closet
sized
room
with
a
full
bed
(for
us
two
full
grown
men
to
share)
with
no
refund
given
for
the
difference
in
cost.
He
insisted
it
was
impossible
to
do.
I
asked
to
then
cancel
the
booking
and
find
something
elsewhere
and
he
said
I
could
do
that
but
would
not
be
refunded
for
any
part
of
the
booking
since
it
was
the
day
of
the
check
in.
Frustrated
and
tired,
since
we’d
just
flown
in
from
Alaska,
I
agreed
to
keeping
the
reservation.
He
then
says
the
new
room
wasn’t
even
clean
yet
(even
though
it
was
8pm)
and
we
would
have
to
wait.
Throughout
every
part
of
my
interaction
with
him
the
front
desk
agent
was
incredibly
rude
and
offered
absolutely
no
apologies
for
their
booking
mistake.
He
was
smug,
clearly
didn’t
care
at
all,
and
went
as
far
as
to
even
call
me
“privileged”
when
I’d
requested
a
partial
refund
and
for
requesting
the
room
type
I’d
paid
for
(more
than
double
the
cost
of
the
room
we
were
given).
While
we
were
waiting
for
our
new
room
to
be
cleaned,
another
couple
came
in
and
I
overheard
them
saying
they
had
a
king
room
for
the
same
nights
as
us.
I
was
waiting
to
hear
a
similar
response
be
given
to
them.
To
my
shock
and
surprise
he
gave
them
their
king
room
right
away!
As
they
left,
I
came
back
and
asked
why
their
king
room
was
available
but
ours
was
not???
He
was
incredibly
dismissive,
told
me
I
shouldn’t
be
eavesdropping
on
other
peoples
conversations,
and
then
lied
saying
they
are
only
here
one
night
and
that’s
why
they
get
the
room.
(Not
only
was
he
lying
to
me
because
I
heard
every
word
and
was
standing
right
there,
but
this
just
made
absolutely
no
sense.)
As
opposed
to
challenging
him
further
and
getting
nowhere
I
decided
to
just
leave
it
be
and
hopefully
meet
with
the
manager
the
next
day.
We
waited
over
an
hour
for
our
room
key.
When
we
finally
received
it
we
walked
next
door
to
another
building,
only
to
find
our
room
key
didn’t
work.
I
went
back
down
to
the
front
desk
next
door,
got
it
rekeyed,
and
went
back
to
find
the
room
we
were
given:
it
was
cramped
and
dirty
to
say
the
least.
The
room
was
so
small
there
was
only
room
for
one
nightstand
because
the
bed
had
to
be
pushed
close
to
the
wall.
You
could
barely
move
in
the
bathroom
(wasn’t
much
wider
than
the
toilet).
There
was
no
room
phone
for
emergency
calls
or
calls
to
the
front
desk
(in
the
building
next
door).
No
soaps
of
any
kind
in
the
bathroom.
About
20
squares
of
toilet
paper
on
the
roll,
with
no
extra
in
sight.
The
floors
were
dirty
with
sand
all
over.
The
bathroom
sink
was
laughable—
super
small,
bent
and
barely
hanging
on
the
wall.
When
turning
on
the
shower,
water
was
leaking
from
the
pipe
where
it
connected
to
the
ceiling
drywall
(you
could
tell
they
tried
to
unsuccessfully
repair
it
at
one
point).
The
hotel
as
a
whole
had
an
extreme
amount
of
very
visible
ignored
maintenance
issues
and
strong
moldy
and
musty
smell.
The
following
day
I
went
down
to
inquire
about
a
partial
refund
from
the
general
manager.
I
explained
the
terrible
reception
we
were
given
the
night
prior
as
well,
for
which
he
apologized.
However,
he
told
me
that
EVEN
AS
THE
GENERAL
MANAGER,
he
is
not
empowered
by
the
owning
corporation
to
offer
refunds
on
bookings—
I
was
stunned.
Instead
he
gave
me
an
email
address
on
the
corporate
level
to
request
a
refund,
to
which,
I’ve
never
heard
back
from
them.
All
in
all,
this
was
a
complete
bait
and
switch.
We
paid
over
$800
(much
higher
than
normal
pricing
given
the
high
travel
weekend)
to
basically
stay
in
a
dirty
closet.
At
all
costs…
DO
NOT
STAY
HERE.
