I
came
to
Bar
One
for
a
celebration
dinner.
I
had
a
few
options
in
mind
but
ultimately
landed
on
this
one
because
of
location
and
ownership.
Pros
-Black-owned:
I
love
supporting
black
owned
businesses.
If
I’m
gonna
spend
hella
money,
might
as
well
circulate
it
in
the
community.
-Waterfront:
The
restaurant
is
in
a
prime
location;
right
on
the
water.
It’s
so
nice.
-Nice
ambiance:
From
the
decor
to
the
r&b
music,
it
was
such
a
vibe!
-Drinks:
Drinks
were
good!
-Portions:
Food
portions
are
very
large
Cons
-
Service:
the
service
was
pretty
lackluster.
We
went
on
a
Tuesday;
so
there
weren’t
many
people
there.
Yet,
we
found
ourselves
waiting
to
get
drink
orders
and
dinner
orders
(there
was
only
2
of
us).
-
Food:
I
didn’t
get
to
really
enjoy
my
food
because
by
the
time
we
got
our
silverware,
my
meal
was
lukewarm.
But
from
what
I
could
tell,
here
is
my
take:
the
lamb
chops
were
flavorful.
Sweet
plantains
and
Mac
&cheese
were
good
(I
wouldn’t
say
that’s
Bahamian
m&c
but
whatever).
The
crispy
snapper
needed
more
flavor.
The
rice
and
peas
were
over
cooked.
The
truffle
fries
were
good
but
too
soft.
Again,
we
had
to
wait
about
6
minutes
for
silverware.
We
sat
on
the
patio
and
there
was
a
good
amount
of
wind.
Maybe
the
food
is
better
right
off
the
stove.
Also,
sides
are
not
included
with
the
entree.
The
only
other
thing
I
was
kinda
“ehh”
about
is
that
our
appetizer
came
out
with
the
meal.
This
place
has
potential
but
has
some
things
to
work
on.
