Booked a two night stay. Other guests checking into the hotel in front of me during my arrival warned me of fraudulent charges this hotel makes. Waited with my luggage for 30 minutes.. Kind of weary, but just getting into town and wanting to get settled. I checked in. Ate a chicken Sandwich poolside. Got food poisoning!! Ruined my night. Heard loud music through the walls in my room all night long. Checked out a day early from my terrible experience. This hotel charges an extra 100$ a day for spending at the in room mini bars etc.. have not seen a refund of this money. Avoid this hotel at all costs. Many better options.

We had an excellent stay at Hotel Trouvail. We blocked rooms here for our wedding weekend and it was very easy to work with them to reserve and add rooms for a great price. Our guests all loved how unique the hotel was. We loved the coffees and cocktails at the hotel bar. The pool area is so cute and relaxing. The access to the beach with lounge chairs is perfect too. And what made the stay most special was the staff that was so kind and helpful to us and our guests. We will have to return!

It was our first time in Miami. This place was so charming. The staff were kind, the food was good, and our room was spacious and clean. But to my surprise, there were so many kids at this hotel. We stayed for 5 days and it felt like I was staying at an upscale day-care. It would be nice if families were on separate floors because the walls of the hotel are especially thin.

My new bride and I are doing a mini moon in Miami. It’s my first time here and I love it. It was a last minute decision but were able to get a booking through my timeshare. It’s conveniently located one block from the beach. Super clean rooms and lobby. Nice bar area that serves food most of the day. Some interesting choices. We got the burger with arugula. I loved it. They cooked it medium just the way I wanted. They gave a bag of chips to go with it. Loved the lime and cracked pepper. Went beautifully with the burger. The entire staff has been amazing. Very friendly and helpful whenever anything is needed. Usually check in is at 3. Our room was ready early so they allowed us to check in. If it wasn’t ready they were willing to hold our bags at the front while we enjoyed the pool. This hotel cares about its guests and it shows. The pool is a beautiful area with many different types of chairs to lounge or just sit. My only complaint is the water itself. The outside is kept beautifully and well maintained. They don’t seem to give the sane treatment to the water. Lots of dead bugs and debris from trees floating. I know they can’t be out there constantly. I was in the pool area from 9 to 12 and nobody from the staff came to check it. I’m honestly not sure if the pump is working. Overall this is an amazing hotel in a great location. I would suggest booking if there is a vacancy.

Stayed Aug 29-Sept 3 at the Palihouse Hotel, an art deco boutique motel that only opened shortly before the pandemic. While it wasn't on the ocean side, it was a short 2 block walk to the beach. I was blessed with a great view of the creek from a top floor room, a view that was great to wake up to every day. Loved the combo of retro decor plus modern bathrooms. The pool was beautiful- where I had my breakfast every day & some post beach "unwinding." And though short staffed, the service from Brian, Florian, Francisco & Alex was phenomenal- made me feel like a special guest with individualized attention and quickly addressing any minor concerns! My only recommendation is that hopefully they can soon replace the hallway carpets which smell musty (room was great though- tile flooring best for the beach!). And to have more food available after 3pm, instead of just light bar snacks.

Don't book this hotel. We got scammed. The price per night seems reasonable but upon checking out we noticed that the hotel charged us 35 dollars per night for a "resort fee". This resort fee is for the use of the pool and housekeeping etc. Even though we had not used the facilities or had not requested to use these facilities, we had to pay regardless. This had not been communicated with us whatsoever. The hotel lures you in by offering a cheap price per night, while they charge you for facilities you never requested for. Don't trust the friendly faces of the people that work for this hotel. They happily scam their guests.

It was below average. The design is cute, of course, but everything is non-functional. Wet cushions at the pool, loud noise between rooms and floors, bike wheel was flat, poorly maintained. Be prepared to not sleep well. We asked for a quiet room and they did not accommodate that... Partying and crying baby. If they invested in acoustics it would be better. Pool was fine. Food was fine.

Hotel Trouvail was such a delight!! I was there for work and the staff went above and beyond to make me feel at home. Flo, Francisco, Daniel, everyone there was incredibly helpful and friendly. Truly the highlight of my experience. The decor is super cute, attentive to the smallest details, I was excited to find this option over a bland bigger chain. The room was lovely and the bed was very comfy, I got a great night’s sleep and had everything I needed. Walls are a little thin, but I didn’t have any issues with noise and you can request a room at the end of the hall if you’re concerned. The pool lounge area is beautiful and secluded. Wi-Fi is solid and fast, good for remote working! The food is SO GOOD, and they offer a bed and breakfast deal to comp a full breakfast plate. Try the chicken dish or the salmon omelette! The beach is just one block down and they offer beach towels and a ticket for a beach chair/umbrella at a designated area. They held my luggage and a few packages at the desk, while I worked in the lobby before checking in. Truly a lovely boutique hotel experience at rates comparable to all the nearby chains with service that goes above and beyond any I’ve experienced.

This hotel was great because of its location near the beach, canal, and Miami beach boardwalk. The complementary bikes were a nice perk; however, they have seen better days. The good thing though is that on the boardwalk there are tool and air stations along the way. It was really fun to see Miami beach via bike. We rode up to Haulover Inlet and down to South Beach. The complimentary beach chairs and umbrella were very convenient as well. This is an older hotel and sound does carry a lot. The use of a fan app was needed. Housekeeping services were reliable and fantastic. The staff was present when needed and cordial enough. The pool area was a wonderfully shady place to enjoy; however, the water temperature of the pool was chilly. Food and drinks could be ordered at the bar and served at the pool.

Seriously the best time. A boutique hotel that has Art Deco/retro touches. Not a resort which I love! The pool is great, the restaurant limited but plentiful. Honestly, the staff was the best part- being a single traveller and a woman they all made me feel like family. Can not recommend this place enough! Really is a great place and they care and are friendly, I don’t give 5* lightly!

Beautiful & charming boutique hotel with great staff! Florian, at front desk, was so helpful and pleasant. There was a young man working the pool area who was equally helpful, and a young woman who was not so helpful (don't know their names). We stayed 7 nights at the end of February and had a lovely corner room with kitchenette & sitting area. Great amenities that we took full advantage of: bikes, pool, patio & lobby areas great for relaxing. Hotel location is between a waterway and the beach with convenient buses one block away on Collins Street. Quick and easy trip to Lincoln Road, South Beach & South Pointe. We did not need a car, which would have been more trouble due to traffic & parking issues. Overall, a fantastic stay at this lovely hotel!

This place is awful. I’m not sure what’s so cool and cute about everything being old. My room has a deep stench of used carpet. The bathroom and room floor are dark from so much use. I’ve heard constant and consistent noise of furniture moving in the morning and early afternoon, and I’ve read other comments on it. They also CHARGE you $100 extra dollars PER NIGHT in case you want to eat or drink any of the overpriced junk that they have in the rooms; which included a “quickie” hand lotion (gross, what is this hotel company promoting with that product?) AFTER you check out you get your $100 a night back 3-5 business days later, which they will not be transparent about. Lastly, they do not care about noise; there is currently an event of about 70 people in the lobby with the music blasting. You can hear everything here. BAD SERVICE. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! You will find better service higher quality rooms and you will keep more of your money. These are all FACTS.

My boyfriend and I stayed a weekend at this hotel. It’s a little further from the downtown area of Miami Beach but close enough to walk or take a short Uber (or drive if you don’t mind paying for parking). Staff was super friendly and helpful, especially Daniel who checked us in, upgraded our room for free, and provided us 2 complimentary drinks at the bar. The hotel seems like an older classic Art Deco Miami Beach hotel but has been updated and modernized. It was such a unique hotel, and I loved the decor of our room. Plus our little balcony had a nice view of the canal. There was a very nice pool although we didn’t get the chance to use it since our weekend was pretty packed and it ended up raining the one afternoon we had downtime. Overall I would recommend this hotel, especially if you want a nice stay without paying a fortune in amenities fees or parking. We would definitely stay here again if we’re back in Miami Beach!

My husband and I had one of those horrible travel nightmare experiences in Miami this week and were stranded. We had a recommendation to go stay at this lovely hotel while we were there and could not have had a better experience. Flo who welcomed us when we arrived was so warm and friendly and took such good care getting us situated in our super cute and comfy room. I give Flo a 10 for his customer service and attention to our needs. We immediately checked out the pool and had a wonderful lunch in a happy peaceful patio and great drinks too.... we were on our way to being happy again. It was a chance encounter of this adorable hotel but now we plan to go back !

Loved my stay here. Comfortable, clean, cozy. We had some noise issues in our first room and they switched our room no problem. Really good rate for the location (which is on the quieter end of the beach, away from the madness). Florian on front desk was especially great. Look forward to returning!

We flew to Miami for a few days. We arrived early and the staff was so nice and accommodating. They let us in our room early since it was available. The room was nice/clean with lots of windows. Very nice and easy location. Can walk to beach in mins and they provide vouchers for lounge chairs in the beach. They also had bikes that we used to ride on boardwalk. Ended up at Fountain bleu for ice cream(which I highly recommend ). The chef makes these delicious pastries- we had a chocolate and almond one and they were delicious. The pool area is so nice and relaxing at night. It was lite up with soft lights and really comfortable furniture. Can you tell, I liked it. I would recommend it again. Thank you, Staff!

Eclectic unpretentious boutique hotel under new management. The hotel is filled with character from the linoleum red floors to old school tv screen playing vintage shows. Top notch personalized service. Feels like a you are in a small town rather than in the heart of Miami Beach. Not on the beach but they have a designated area to use just an easy 2 block walk away. The cute pool was a quiet private oasis. The rooms are simple but well appointed and the room with the balcony overlooking the water was lovely. Special thanks to: Abel- friendly and great customer service Francisco - creative and insightful bartender Dean-Charismatic and talented Chef Flo- Energetic and efficient at the Front desk

Out of all of the hotels I’ve visited, Palihouse has to be my favorite. The hotel was so beautiful and relaxing. The staff was incredibly accommodating and sweet. The guy at the front desk, Daniel, was great and recommended some places to visit! And a big thank you to all the bartenders (Alex, Alex 2, Francisco, and El) you guys made our stay so fun and all of your hard work was especially appreciated. The food was great, the rooms were spacious and the hotel was located minutes from the beach. Thank you Palihouse for an amazing stay, we will most definitely be back!

AMAZING EXPERIENCE! We stayed here yesterday for a day pass since our flight was at 9 PM and we got off our cruise at 8 AM. The staff was SO FRIENDLY and SO NICE, it was so refreshing. I wish I could remember the guy's name and then the lady that came after. The lobby and bar area were very mid-century modern style, high ceiling, reminded me of another hotel we stayed at in Sweden. The rooms were very spacious and nice! Very clean, we had 2 sinks and a nice big fridge. It was close to the beach, walking distance. We ARE STAYING HERE AGAIN!

This place was a mess. The elevator is ancient and you can barely fit one person in it with bags. Plan on waiting for at least 5 minutes or more if you’re on the higher floors. Our power went out (just our room) for hours because the electric is so old. Drain was gross and clogged in the bathroom and staff didn’t address it even after we requested it to be cleaned. No umbrellas for rainy days, and everything feels like lipstick on a pig 🐖 I wouldn’t stay here again even if it was free.

Had a great time while visiting South Florida! Very cozy spot with friendly staff that are always ready to help out with anything. Even though there is construction and craziness in the area, you wouldn't even realize it in the hotel. Very relaxed atmosphere!

We love staying here. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food is beyond delicious. The design is quirky and chic and once you start sipping an Aperol spritz next to the pool, you won’t want to leave!

Absolutely lovely experience staying at Palihouse. The King Studio was a good size with all the right touches and comfort. (the robe is a nice touch!) Cute pool area. Towels, chairs provided for the beach. Service was super friendly especially Daniel at the front desk, and the bartenders (forgot their names!) although a tad slow for food sometimes. Overall great stay if you’re looking for a low-key vibe 1 block away from the beach. Look forward to coming back sometime!

Honestly we were looking forward to our stay but unfortunately we were disappointed as soon as we walked in. We called check-in day to see if the room was ready and the hotel said yes. We specifically booked a room with 2 beds and were then told the room was unavailable when we checked in. They moved us to another room with 1 bed and a cot. A lot of slamming doors were heard because the walls are thin and there was a significant gap between the hotel door and floor.

This is the cutest hotel and the staff are so amazing! Francisco, the bar tender, went above and beyond to provide exceptional service. The entire staff was so friendly and accommodating. The pool is beautiful, the hotel is darling, the location is fantastic. I can’t say enough. I wish I could move in and stay forever.

This place is really awesome! The feel and theme of the hotel makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. We had a room with a balcony which overlooked some water and it was beautiful. Brian was very friendly and helpful a the front desk :)

Was my first time in Miami and honestly I could not have picked a better hotel. The room was perfectly set up and the location is perfect. I recommend this place to anyone visiting Miami who wants a comfortable stay

People that leave bad reviews here either haven’t been here or haven’t lived in Florida ever because they are so wrong!! The “musty” smell people keep complaining about it the smell of Florida!! It’s humid all the time, all these north easterners come and get upset because they don’t understand the climate here. The staff here is amazing they let us check in early and let us park our car there the day we checked out so we could hang out all day. The drinks at the bar were great and our room was awesome. I will definitely be staying here again

Had an awesome time at Hotel Trouvail, Miami Beach! The staff were super friendly and always ready to help. Loved chilling by the pool—such a cool spot to relax. And hey, the beach is just a stone's throw away, which is a massive plus! Can’t wait to come back the next time we’re in Miami.

I’m so glad I was able to find this little gem in Miami!!! Completely in love with the vibe and the staff. I truly couldn’t have chosen a better place. Francisco definitely marked a difference in my stay with his great attention and service. The best bartender I’ve ever met, wow!! Would definitely come back just for the drinks and him…. And the food… I was left speechless, Dean is definitely a great chef with a lot of knowledge regarding gastronomy. Not were his plates only delicious but impeccable as well with a great presentation. Will definitely recommend 100%!!

Great hotel only a few mins away from the beach. We loved the vibe and style. The staff was amazing, friendly, and helpful. The parking was cheap too compared to other options in the area. Cons: The hotel is old though so the elevator did not work 40% of the time during our stay. Luckily, it was fine when we needed to check in and check out. Also, there is no ability to open the windows and the room felt a little humid and we felt we could use more fresh air. However, the rest was good and we enjoyed our stay.

We had a great stay here! The hotel is relaxed but has wonderful service. Daniel was especially helpful and everyone was nice and accommodating. The food is great and the design of the rooms are lovely. Only thing is the bikes need a little face lift. Better off getting a citibike if you want to bike around. We will definitely be coming back!

The cutest little beach hotel! The vibe here is so wonderful and the location is perfect - the staff are super friendly, the food is pricey but good, and the hotel is charming and full of cute touches that make it feel special & homey. Fabiola at the front desk was especially awesome, and so accommodating. Daniel + Flo welcomed us and our small dog with open arms. Mariana and Elle were rockstar servers. It was really the staff and people that work here that made our stay truly exceptional. Hope to be back soon! Highly recommend.

Overrated. Hotel have a nice design. There was humidity and a smell in the room and lobby. We made our reservation from bookingcom and system showed us 3 person can stay in a suite but while we were checking in they demanded +60$ per day for extra bed. Staff was joking with each other at all times. Stay if you want to take some nice photos but don’t expect perfect service!

  • 5/5 Jared R. 10 months ago on Google
Our stay here was great! The staff is so personable and their attention to detail really made the weekend. The pool is the perfect place to unwind and have a custom craft cocktail. Can’t recommend this place enough!

What an awesome place! I recommend if you want something cozy and nicely located. The rooms are nice, bed is comfy. There is a lot of noise though, the only downside here I think. The pool area is great. You can grab a beach chair, an umbrella and a towel (ask at the front desk) to take advantage of the beach just 2-3 minutes away. If you want to go at bars and else, you might want to take the trolley service which has a few stations nearby. It's free and it gets you anywhere in Miami Beach. The check-in was fast, I arrived at 2AM. Checkout was quick as well.

This is such a gem of a hotel and completely exceeded our expectations. Super short and easy walk to the beach. The hotel provides beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, and bikes first come first serve which is an incredible perk and made our beach days way more enjoyable. The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay perfect. There is overnight parking for $25 in their private lot. The pool is beautiful with drinks and food available all day until late at night. The room is packed with snacks and a mini bar that surpasses just the basics and are reasonably priced. The decor is quaint and charming and really enriches the time spent in this beautiful part of Miami!

I had a last minute work trip, and I just didn’t want to stay in a traditional hotel. Hotel Trouvail showed up in the search, with a great price, and beautiful photos. The photos don’t do it justice! My room was spacious and uniquely decorated, setting a relaxing vibe for my stay. The staff were amazing, helping me find a quiet spot while I had some work calls, even after check-out. The lobby, pool, and even patio were all clean, and obviously cared for with a lot of love. And I probably had the best night of sleep in the bed than I’ve had staying in a hotel. Finally, the food and beverages all exceeded expectations. I definitely want to come back again!

Hotel Trouvail is a delight and a lucky find indeed. We stayed in the queen balcony room overlooking the canal and I can’t believe we got a waterview and balcony for such an affordable price. They have a small parking lot you can use for $25 per night which is very reasonable for Miami Beach. The food was great and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The decor and overall atmosphere of the hotel is vintage, stylish, and calm. They played the Birdcage on loop in the lobby which brought me ultimate joy. We will be back!

We had a great week long stay here - the rooms are big and beautifully decorated. Beds are also super comfortable and Daniel at reception sorted us out with great recommendations. We had a small issue on our last night, but it was resolved promptly the day after. Will def come back next time we’re in Miami! Only wish is for the pool to have been cooler - it’s not that refreshing unfortunately.

I almost don't want to share how good this place is for fear others will find it. It definitely feels like a well kept secret. This is by far the best decision I made on my trip. I couldn't ask for better. I recommend buying a package with breakfast. It's simple food but it is made very well. All the staff are helpful and friendly. The rooms are a good size. If you want a fridge call ahead because not all rooms have them. My only peeve was the Nespresso machine. The water never ran clear for my tea and I couldn't stand it, always a few grounds in the hot water.

  • 5/5 Lindsay A. 1 year ago on Google
What a wonderful stay at this charming boutique hotel. Exceeded all expectations. Very kind and helpful staff. The heated pool and beach chairs were a huge bonus that truly made the trip special. Only two blocks from the beach and easy to walk the beach trail to go north beach or south beach. Highly recommend!

We LOVED staying here!! The decor is on point, wasn't too expensive, pool side service was awesome and overall the vibe is relaxed yet bougie. It's a revamped old hotel so the walls are thin but we slept fine with a fan going. The kitchenette was a nice perk and we had a beautiful view from our window of the canal. The pool was its own oasis, private and comfy. Staff are friendly, we'd love to go back.
