Seems to be going downhill. We've gone here for YEARS, and something has changed. Went there last night, and my husband ordered a T-Bone steak medium well and it came out burned to a crisp. By the time the waitress came back around, I was already done eating. My husband was pleasant, but let her know he ordered his steak medium well, not cooked to a crisp. She offered to replace it, which he agreed to, but he asked for it to go since I had already been done eating for a while. They did replace it, and took a wee bit off the bill, but we got home to find out this time they cooked it rare. Pelican's isn't over-the-top expensive, but it's not cheap eats either. You'd think they could do better than this. This is very disappointing for a dinner that cost 2 people dang near $100. Don't know that we'll be in a huge hurry to go back.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE!! I ordered alfredo (bland & dry) & the seafood platter (fishy after taste). We didnt get pics of the others food but there were 5 of us total. We were sat in the very back, our server just stopped coming to our table even though we flagged him down & told him we were ready to order. He still never came. Then another waiter came & said our original waiter got busy. This waiter wasnt much better. We literally waited a whole hour for our food with no apology or anything. We got our appetizers with the food which defeats the purpose of an appetizers. Our last meal came after everyone else finished their food. He did take the last meal off our bill. The food was mediocre AT BEST. The potato soup off the bar was the best part of the whole meal.

I ordered a pick 4 for lunch. The zucchini was undercooked and soggy, but the crab cake was uncooked. Literally, uncooked. It was just a patty of filling that had not been fried. I'm not sure how it happened but the restaurant required me to drive back up there and return the crab cake to them in order to get a refund. When i arrived they were short and kept me standing around waiting while they called the owner to approve a refund. The guy who did refund me did apologize for the crab cake though, and the stuffed mushrooms were good. Would not return or recommend.

We have visited this restaurant many times over the years. Nice decor. Good location for group gatherings. Variety menu. I usually get the salad bar. The soup variety is limited to two a day. Always French onion as one. Too salty for me. The salad bar has a good selection. Today I ordered the “jumbo shrimp cocktail” as my lunch. The description was “6 jumbo shrimp”. Very disappointed in the serving. It was 6, but in no way jumbo. The menu description is not accurate. Because of that I am rating it a 3/5 star.

Good food, nice location. Great service. Had a good salad bar. The food didn't take too long and tasted good too. Chicken fingers were very tender, great alfredo. Petit serloin was tender as well! Son enjoyed his burger!

My husband and I had lunch here today, it was very good. I had the fried cod with fries ,the fish was amazing it had a hint of sweetness, The salad bar was nice too worth the price! We got full on the salad bar and took our food home. Our waiter was very friendly and nice. Definitely going here again

First visit. Parking lot looked full but was able to be seated right away. Our server Jeremy was great and took very good care of us. Menu choices were the beer battered cod. Wife wasn't much of a fan, said the fish was a bit hard and not much flavor. Mine was the fettuccine with chicken. Not bad but the noodles were overcooked but still decent flavor. Both items came with a trip to the salad bar. Everything is getting more expensive theses days, this trip plus tip was a bit over $50

Well, let's go with the positive first, and we'll proceed from there. The service is very nice, and the bartender was open to learning what a negroni is. Their "perfect margarita" is made with a mix and *gold* tequila -- not silver (Texas, the home of margaritas, would mandate silver since it's a mixed drink). Also, it's served *with olives* . . . Weird. The food comes in large portions, something that's sadly a norm in the South. I'd pay the same prices for better-prepared food of 60% the portion. The frog legs were a bit boring. The "jumbo" shrimp cocktail looks like it could have come from Costco's deli shrimp plate, but it's like $11. I'm sure this is a popular place in MWC, but it's to OKC and other locales for good Americana food for me.

Ordered the beer battered cod with steam veggies and fried mushrooms, to go. And it was very lack lustered. The pieces of cod were these small strips that were breaded, overly seasoned, dry and had bones. I was expecting a beer battered fillet not strips that look like belong in fish tacos. I've eaten at pelican's in other states before and have ordered the same meal and I've never received anything like this before. I definitely would not recommend this one. Maybe thier other dishes are better but my experience was a very poor one. The staff was courteous and polite but I did have to request ranch for the fried mushrooms as well as napkins and utensils. I believe those should be automatic in to go orders .

Maybe it was a bad day but, the restaurant smelled heavy of smoke. We left smelling like that, major turn off. Their salad bar was pretty good minus not having onions. The chicken was devine, the rice was soft, and the potatoes were great also. Our waitress was awesome. Because the food didnt fail i will return! Just not soon. That smoke was horrible.

I was disappointed with the seafood selections. I had the shrimp scampi. It was a nice seasoned dish but needed to be marinated longer. The shrimps were too big and meaty to absorb the seasoning. The mash potatoes were box and the gravy was a poor taste. The waiter showed care and gave me other options, which I did appreciate. Honestly it was pricey and there was not crab legs or a good fish option. Their escargot was very good. I can definitely recommend. The decor made me feel like the shrimp boats were parked outside on the dock in the harbor or I was near the ocean.
