Would have been 5 stars if I wasn't being charged a party fee for having a total of three people in a room with the TV on a little too loud. A larger Hispanic lady that I presume was a night shift manager pounded on the door until I opened it, looked very angry and aggravated, and said there was a noise complaint, and that if it happened again she would have us out of there. I apologized multiple times and said I would turn the TV down(because I figured that's what she was referring to). She gave me no explanation or warning about a fee, neither did the desk representative when I checked out. I was also not told that parking would come out of my 100$ deposit, I was under the impression it was free since I was a guest? Overall not very thrilled about my stay, especially since there was some sort of event in town that had lots of young adults staying around us unsupervised. I'm almost certain they mistook the noise in our room for the noise in the room across from us. Non-stop all night the door was opening and closing. Pizza boxes left everywhere in the hallway. Pathetic. I'd really like to get a refund for this false party fee, and a refund for parking since it was never stated to me. 0 information was passed along other than a 100$ hold per room for possible damages. I seriously do not recommend this place at all to anyone. EDIT: Called the location, very unhelpful and nobody could give me straight answers. Also got a "it is what it is" from whoever I spoke to on the phone.

This place was horrible. The double suite we ordered was supposed to have two large beds (we had 4 guys) and it came with one small one. They did not allow us to change rooms and could only offer $10 off. Don't let the high prices fool you, it was still very disappointing. "Our original accommodations could not be met or even paid for because we were not Hilton Premium Members." As soon as we walked into the room we didn't book, we noticed how hot it was and were told the AC was broken. They gave us a fan and told us to open a window (only opened 3 inches). Clearly that didn't work. Not only was the AC "broken" but when we asked again, they claimed that they have the AC shut off because it was still considered the "winter season" - in March with 60-70 degree weather. Clearly this was a lie because the hallways of every floor had cold air shooting out of the vents along with the side rooms on the main floor. Shower handle was hardly attached, drawers were broken, and they continued to decline any attempt to switch to another room because of our Hilton Honors status. Would not recommend unless you are looking for an overpriced sweat lodge.

Stay at this place if you want all your happiness sucked out you. I was an office manager MAJOR tourist city in VA and I have never seen a parking situation at a hotel. I had to park a block over, with 5 kids and all their stuff. Oh and I understand your front desk staff being frustrated and the parking situation is beyond their control but HOW YOU SPEAK TO PEOPLE is so important and could have changed how I felt about this whole situation. Side: might I suggest to the OM/owner that you create a handout to your patrons that show the different public parking areas from hotel. I find this helps take away the frustration of finding parking in an area some might not know. Some people are visual people and this would have been helpful. If people have to pay for parking the LEAST the hotel could so is do free break 😂

The Air Conditioning system was not working in all of the hotel. Only hot air was blowing into the rooms when the temperature during the day on Friday was 82 or so! Also, there was no additional roll of toilet paper in the room, and I had to go downstairs to the lobby to get it. A friend also mentioned the internet was not working in the hotel. Service at the front desk was not rude, but completely detached from any form of responsibility or devoid of kindness or consideration to guests. Not planning on staying here again...

Stayed at this hotel to attend nearby conference. Although the hotel is in a good location in the heart of Minneapolis and the rooms are quite spacious, there is a complete and utter lack of service provided by the team at the hotel. Housekeeping is not provided to those staying less than 4 nights, and I didn't receive any house keeping for 5 nights despite me repeatedly requesting at the front desk. I have spoken to the manager over the phone who acknowledge this is a concern. If all you care about is having a nice room in a good location this hotel is for you. However, if you expect your room to stay neat and tidy and don't need to chase down anyone, then I would not recommend staying here.

The wallpaper was peeling off the wall & our toilet stopped flushing throughout our stay. There is pictures of a pool but no pool. The parking is pretty good there is a parking ramp connected to the hotel. Within walking distance of a caribou. It feels really safe because you have to use your card to get to any of the floors on the elevator.

The thermostat took a long time to heat the room. There was only 1 hanger in the closet. We had to request more hangers and towels. The bathroom was not very clean. However the shower water was good and hot. The best were very comfortable.

A bit of a letdown, being honest. Location is okay, not really close to the convention center but close enough. My fault, I waited to book. That said, this is a hotel in serious need of renovation. First clue was upon entering, the revolving door was broken, and was still broken on the fourth night. I'm sitting in my room now with the thermostat on 60 and it's about 75 in here on a 60 degree day. In other words, the thermostat is not working properly. Maid service is upon request, which is fine. But when I wanted more coffee the morning I needed it, I had to go back upstairs and wait for it. Yeah, that's not a good plan, and no coffee downstairs except in the restaurant which does not seem to be free to me. Staff was friendly enough, but not so much to make up for what is lacking. Bottom line is that the hotel needs work. I would not be surprised if Hilton dropped them from their rolls. Greatly disappointed for the price paid.

My husband and I had the most unsatisfying experience with this hotel. First, their parking lot is $40 a night even if you are a guest of the hotel. Street parking is more affordable. Our first day, our room microwave was broken and our shower was missing the handle to turn off and on. They wanted maintenance to come and fix it but no one came so they had us switch rooms. Our second room was fine. Only thing that didn’t work was a tall lamp. Come our last night, we decided to do a late check out and when we came to the front desk, the worker said we could not ask for a late check out and would have to ask in the morning. It just defeats the purpose of it. We have never had so much complaints just for a weekend stay. I don’t recommend.

Stayed at this hotel September 4th and very disappointed. Had two rooms booked and both had problems. Beds were not comfy and mattress felt like there was a hole in the middle. The water glasses were dirty. Coffee cups leaked and did not hold the coffee. The location is not great, have to be careful at night which explains the smashed glass on the revolving door and people yelling on the streets which we could hear all night. They make you pay an extra $30/night per vehicle so we had to pay $60 more on top of the room fees. Some updates to the room but the bathrooms were still outdated as well. I wouldn't recommend staying here to anyone after our experience. We also tried calling the contact support and received no answer or response back.

First, it took over 40 minutes just to check in. Appparently Hilton computers were "down", but an apology would have been nice! Once we finally got to the room, there was a large red stain on the carpet, and a glob of BLOOD on the box spring of one of the beds, along with a couple crumpled up wrappers under that bed. One of us was sleeping on the fold-out sofa and we had called the front desk to bring a blanket. Over an hour later, they still hadn't provided it and so we had to call down again. The room also had a faint cigarette odor. On the day we were checking out, somebody from the front desk called to say the credit card for "incidentals" i used ($100) had been declined. It had went through with no problem when we checked in, and when I checked my account online, the $100 HAD been charged to my account. Of course I questioned this at the front desk when I checked out and was told it was a mistake on their part. Also, the room was pretty warm, even though the thermostat was set at 65°. Having to pay 30 bucks for parking was also ridiculous. I wish i would have looked at the reviews for this place before i booked the room! All in all, a pretty negative experience. The only redeeming part was the location.

Not impressed with this hotel. The pool shown in the pictures for this hotel? Nonexistant. The service at the front desk left a lot to be desired. We requested adjoining rooms, and even called ahead to confirm them, only to have the man at the front desk tell us that such a thing isn't even possible at that hotel. So, a discussion with the manager the next morning revealed that it was possible and we were moved into adjoining rooms. The manager was a superstar, by the way, so I expect she does not get much rest while fixing the work of the front desk. Seriously, she was pitching in cleaning the replacement rooms she set us up with. The hotel restaurant definitely needs some work. They dilute the fruit juices to where they almost seem thinner than water (I know, but they did it somehow). The coffee had all the joy of a forest fire in my mouth. With the spark of goodness in this hotel, it could be great, but there are undercurrents of corner-cutting that need to be rectified before it can be comfortable choice in the future.

Room was okay. It was clean, bed was comfortable but the TV needs to be upgraded and air conditioning needs to be installed. Also, why am I being charged $30 to use their parking lot. That just not ethical and I think whoever made that decision should be fired.

Stayed last weeks & had a great stay. New front desk worker Daja very beautiful, she was so polite to each guest while it was a busy night. She was working by herself and made every guest feel welcomed & responded to a lot of guest issues. Great service. The room was lovely. Will be staying again.

Very poor experience with this hotel. They don't advertise this when you book a room, but they charge about $35 per night to park in their garage. In downtown Minneapolis, that's the only legitimate parking option. When we arrived and parked in the garage, we tried to enter the door to the hotel from the garage. It was locked with key card access. We called the front desk, and they said they would send someone down to open the door. We waited about 20 minutes, and we gave up. We decided to walk up through the parking garage to the front street access to the lobby. When I tried to leave the parking garage from my car later on, it wouldn't let me pay, and there was a sign that said to pay in the lobby. I had to leave my car parked at the exit and walk around to the front and pay in the lobby. I came back and I was holding up the line for other people. Lastly, the room was fine, but it was very hot in the room. Trying to adjust the thermostat wasn't helpful either. We opened the window, but it was hard to sleep with the sound of downtown Minneapolis traffic. These are all ridiculous problems that the hotel could fix if they made it a priority. The price per night is low at the moment, but I would say it still isn't worth it; especially with parking costing $35 per night.

The bathroom in my room was not clean. Make up (or something) on the walls, pills on the floor, no garbage can. I couldn’t wait to leave. I did report it to the front desk shortly after I checked in, so hopefully they clean it before the next guest. I would not recommend this hotel.

Smacked in the middle of downtown....great service and attitude from the front desk staff. You man at the front desk was knowledgeable and nice. Rooms are surprisingly large. King size room comfortably fits a cozy 4 people. The view from the 6th floor is great. Local food is nice. Good book!! Parking garage is 30 bucks but worth it. Book for a relaxing stay!!

I chose this hotel through a Google search for hotels that have breakfast included. That was the first problem I experienced because breakfast is not included. It costs $17 per person. It was the same type of "quality" items that you get at the Super 8 or a Fairfield. This hotel charges $30 per night per vehicle. That adds $47 per night for one person. Add that to what the hotel is charging to make it an accurate rate. Now to the room! First time the bathroom was used, there was 8 squares of toilet paper in the entire room. No additional rolls. (The hotel brought additional rolls to the room after going down and reporting the issue to the front desk.) The lack of additional rolls makes me think what else was skipped by room service. In the morning, we tried to use the coffee maker in the room to no avail. We tried multiple outlets, just to make sure it was the coffee maker. The shower rod was coming unattached from the wall causing the shower curtain to slide to the middle. The floor was quite wet after because of this after our showers were complete. I don't know if double tree still does the chocolate chip cookies, which is something they are known for, but I never saw any cookies for anyone. Overall, every disappointing stay for a supposedly "higher end" hotel. I won't be staying at this particular hotel again and it makes me wonder if the Hilton is worth staying at again. I didn't have an issue with any of the staff members.

With great cheapness comes great irresponsibility. Shower curtains smelled horrible. The bathroom sink constantly had running water. There was an old used towel hiding between the curtain rings that looked like it is enough to start a new civilization. I would not recommend going to this hotel.

Just sub par in every way. Zero acknowledgment of my diamond status or a simple thank you. Front desk acts bothered by the simplest question- directions, late check out, anything. Rooms are way outdated and bathroom borderline gross. Must request housekeeping 24 hours in advance for less than a 4 night stay. One trash can in suite. Just don’t. They don’t care. My only guess is they survive off convention traffic and captive groups because they don’t seem to make any effort. Can’t wait to get out of here tomorrow. Also, to management- save the same reply you write every negative review thanking me and saying you’ll use it as a training opportunity because that, obviously, isn’t happening.

Had a decent stay at the double tree. The rooms were nice and clean and it's in a convenient location. My one gripe is they have very limited parking and I had to wait to get a spot and then didn't dare move or I'd be waiting or unable to get a spot. Staff is also unknowledgeable about other close overnight parking which should be something they know consider the limited spaces.

The staff has been so friendly and accommodating in every situation. One of my bags broke on the way in and they found another one for me to use. I forgot to pack deoderant and they saved the day. I ran out of the tea in the room and they were happy to replenish it. The room is great, but the staff really make this a wonderful place to stay.

Absolutely horrible customer service! The lady with the curly hair is less than helpful and beyond rude. We booked a specific room and then were changed rooms without warning. When inquiring about this switch due to keys not working she laughed and said the room is occupied - then why was that room an option? We wouldn’t have cared about the switch if we were greeted in a kind manner rather than being laughed at for questioning why we were moved without acknowledgement and needing to get new keys that actually got us into a room (might I add when we did need physical keys rather than the phone key fobs that weren’t working due to being switched rooms, she handed us keys without noting the room we were supposed to be occupying). We encountered the same worker numerous times throughout the day, and each time she would stare at us without a greeting or a helpful demeanor. Will never return to this hotel that reeks of pot, and by the reviews it looks like many others won’t be returning either!

The entry way, revolving door was shattered. The parking garage was not adequate for number of guests staying. Had to pay for the public city parking garages. The pull out bed needed to have a blanket and set of pillows but all we got was a bag that had a sheet, a top sheet, and one pillow. Check In was at 4 pm, wasn’t allowed to room till 4:45 pm and not provided the why. For having the name Hilton, this was not an ideal standard, the restaurant wasn’t open to guests who arrived. Not sure if the hospitality dept was that affected by Covid or what was happening. The staff though handled tough situations from rude guests the best they could and were helpful but they looked tired-

We were checked into a room that was absolutely unacceptable. There stains in the microwave, wall, floor, vanity mirror, food crumbs all over, drawer with leftover stuff from previous guests. The front desk was able to move us to the only other available room and at first it seem cleaned until the sunlight hit in the morning where you can find sticky substances on the drawer and chair. In addition to leftover bottle that we found by the night stand and the spider that snuck it way into the bathroom. We made due with what we have but at times where epidemics run wilds, the sanitation standards here leave lots of room of concerns.

Horrible hotel and customer service. I am a Hilton Diamond and I should’ve read the most recent reviews so it is on me but I experienced every bad thing the reviews indicated. No maid service in 5 days, maintenance issue they wouldn’t fix. Left me cards saying it was fixed but nothing. Website says it has a full service hotel with restaurant but only open for breakfast and no bar. A woman posted a broken window in the front door back in August and I stayed a month later and still not fixed. Staff that could give a s**t, filthy rooms and way too expensive for the level of service. Clearly poorly managed but I am sure they’re directive is to play the Covid card with staff shortages but you go down to the Hyatt a block away where my friend were staying and a totally different experience. Maybe they can’t get staff because then the management is so bad they can’t attract and retain good people. I’m done with this chain.

Was in town visiting family. We had the king suite with a walk in shower. Bed was very comfortable. Shower was very clean. Only problem was the shower head had rust on it and could not be adjusted. Overall it was a pleasant stay and will probably stay here again next time we are in town

They don't have a swimming pool. They don't have a free breakfast. I like the place overall. I didn't like that they didn't have a channel guide in the room or a book explaining room service or anything inside the room. When I scheduled the reservation they said you should Park early and leave your car you might not have a spot later in the night which was very true! The lady at the front desk when we checked in didn't know that and I didn't trust her. It was a perfectly fine hotel I gave it four stars.

Low standard of Hilton quality for the (considerable) cost to stay there. Upon arrival I found that two towels had long black hairs on them- which were obviously not mine. Not appealing, but got new towels. Restaurant was only open for breakfast; breakfast was fair- service & food ok, but not Hilton quality. I was told there were laundry services available - washer & dryer- yet when I requested quarters to use the machines, I was told no cash was kept on premises. Furthermore there was no change machine available in the hotel. Yet, they had allowed me to purchase a small box of Tide (gift shop) earlier that day without telling me any of this. Service warmth & friendliness was minimal and inconsistent. All at all, not atrocious, however poorer quality and standard than I’ve come to expect from Hilton, and far below the value I would’ve expected for paying over $800 for a three- night stay.
