We were happy to support this small business because it's our favourite Italian restaurant. It's a small space and it's perfect for special occasions. The food is fantastic and they have a wide array of pasta and meat dishes as well as appetizers. We always get grilled calamari but I forgot to take a picture of it before we ate them. Just know that they're perfectly cooked and with balsamic vinegar they're delicious; which brings me to my point, all of the food I've eaten there is delicious. I would definitely recommend for a special occasion.

Incredibly Romantic. My wife and I only had one opportunity to have dinner in Mississauga and we are so glad we found Grano Ristorante and they had room for us. It's a tiny little place but filled to the brim with atmosphere. From the moment we stepped in the door we knew we had found something special. We were quickly seated, tucked away in a little corner. The Caprese was recommended to us for a starter so we had to try it, it had great flavor and the mozzarella had a perfect texture. For main course we went with two of their features, the Ravioli in Rosé sauce danced across my tastebuds, I could not get enough of that sauce, I literally cleaned my plate. My wife got a chicken feature with red sauce that she has not stopped talking about hours later. She loves red sauce and insists its better than her own Italian grandmother's. We were completely stuffed afterwards and couldn't make room for dessert but they sounded homemade and delicious. I could never say enough positive things about the service. We truly felt welcome and taken care of in a way that made us feel at home in a city we have never visited before. Bring someone you love to Grano Ristorante, they deserve it. Just consider calling ahead because it seems like other people know how special this place is too.

Love this hidden gem! This family run restaurant is so welcoming, you feel like you're visiting family. The portions are big, the food is delicious. The ravioli was the best I've ever had. The homemade cheesecake and peach fantasy dessert was a memorable experience. Lots of love and passion is put into each dish. They use a lot of home grown ingredients in their dessert. I like supporting small businesses like this, highly recommend. I'll return.

Great place for enjoying an Italian cuisine. Unfortunately, they do not have any vegetarian option in Sandwiches or Mains but they have good variety in pasta and starters. Good ambience and prompt service. Would definitely recommend this to everyone.

My husband and I went to Grano on Saturday 16,2023. It was a last minute decision and Grano was nice enough to fit us in. Wow!!! So lucky we found this place, admittedly it was a little hard to find but when we did it was a pleasure to be there. The staff are A1and the food was better than any other Italian restaurant we visited. And it was reasonably priced. If you have a chance please visit this restaurant, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Grano for an outstanding experience. 10/10

The food was fresh and tasty. Service was fast and friendly. Would love to see a veal chop and or a grilled steak on the menu.

You can definitely taste the love in the food served. Also as soon as you walk in, you are greeted with warmth and a welcoming smile. All the dishes were delicious. Calamari grilled to perfection. Probably the best we've ever tried. My husband said the cesar salad was on point. Pasta was perfect, the veal and chicken so fresh and delicious. Their tomato sauce ...wow...Do not leave without trying their homemade cheesecake. Incredible. Can't wait to go back. And make sure you reserve ahead of time. Like days in advance. There is a reason why they're busy.

WHAT TO TRY?! I think out of the pastas we've tried, the spaghettini with white creamy pesto sauce was the best. Very creamy and delicious. So I would recommend any pasta with their creamy sauce. But if you're not a white creamy sauce person, the next choice would be anything with the tomato sauce. The pasta dishes were affordable and generally alright, but I wouldn't say it was the best Italian pasta I've had. I also ordered linguine in aioli with rapini and sausage. The rapini was definitely overcooked and didn't taste like effort was put in to make the rapini because it was that overcooked to borderline mushy. I don't usually like giving bad ratings but other than the food, service was very poor. There was only one server for the whole dining area (which is not a big place) and I think he was the owner to the place. He didn't serve me water when I asked for it and his attitude towards giving us service was very poor. It's almost like he was expecting me to order wine or else I'll have to wait for the water when he remembers or when he feels like it. My friends and I got the impression that he was annoyed at us and he wanted to leave on time at 9 pm when his restaurant were to close because he emphasized the restaurant would be closing at 9 pm at 8 pm while we were enjoying our dinner. I felt really bad because my friends felt very uncomfortable eating at his restaurant and felt rushed. I understand ppl may have bad days, but if you work in the service industry, it's expected that patrons wish to be served with kindness and care if patrons did not do anything wrong. Restaurants thrive on having loyal customers coming back and good word of mouth. It's unfortunate that his service was very rude and uncalled for. I would not be recommending such a restaurant and his service to my fellow friends and readers. LAST TIP?! If you have a big party, this restaurant may not be able to accommodate your size. You'll have to call in advance. They emphasize they are a family restaurant and can only serve so many people at one time. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant if you want to have a great time if you are served by this server.

My wife and I have been going to Grano's for the past couple of years, and it is definitely one of our favorite places. She'll always get the same dish (Pollo Amore) which never disappoints, and I typically go for one of the specials. It's always a good experience here, but have noticed some slight differences since new ownership took over. If you're in Mississauga, looking for great Italian this is the place that I would recommend.

We all had a wonderful time last night. Our chat, the food, conversations that could be easily heard over the music. All delightful. The lamb shank was a 10/10. I hope to try the lobster ravioli next time. We dropped the mushroom ravioli off at the neighbours on the way home who are under quarantine. The father got Covid from work and is hiding in the basement. She sent down a small plate as his appetite has been low. A message came back, loved it, more please. Husband and wife devoured it. She said best ravioli ever. You don’t just make food, you make memories.

Amazing service! Food was amazing everything came out hot and fresh! I really enjoyed the Pesto pasta with grill chicken. My husband enjoyed his food so much he finished most of his food before I got to take a picture lol... Overall 10 star restaurant

Quality of the food was VERY good: appetizers, entrees and desert. Service was also good, super nice and friendly staff. I had dinner with my husband and another couple and asked everyone how many stars they would give and all answered 4 stars, but for different reasons. Responses: seemed like the customers can’t have what they want if the owner/manager doesn’t “approve” of it. Example 1: Asked for olive oil to eat with the bread, was told no because the bread already comes with butter, I still wanted the olive oil but didn’t get it. Example 2: Asked for more bread to finish my plate and enjoy the rest of the red tomate sauce and couldn’t get it, just because they don’t give two baskets of bread per table. In 4 we had 1 basket. Charge clients for more bread, shouldn’t say no. Example 3: Charging clients 18% to split checks doesn’t seem fair, charge at least how ever much the extra transaction would cost, but profit from splitting checks is not really fair. Good experience overall.

It's a Hidden Gem. You will not be disappointed. I'm still licking my lips from the flavor of the food. And the espresso is perfect. Thank you Grano. 😊 See you again soon.

Such a cute lil restaurant, super cozy. Highly recommend you make a reservation before going. The employees there are sooo lovely and adorable. Pastas were really good! You probably can’t go wrong with those!

A family run restaurant tucked away like a hidden gem in an out of the way location. Their cuisine is sophisticated because it is simple and refined because it's true to its roots. Every dish is a revelation because it surprises you with it's authenticity and true to homestyle cooking but taken to another level with it's flavors and aromas which are heavenly. One can make most of the dishes at home but one can't match the passion and love their chef/owner puts into it! We are hooked and now one of their biggest fans.

Amazing food, among us we had the Gnocchi, homemade with Ricotta, Lobster Ravioli was unreal and the veal parmiagiano got rave reviews from the boys! Thank you so much Grano, just awesome!

This is the most authentic Italian Restaurant in North America! The food is sublime and the service is outstanding! We were visiting the area for 10 days and went to this restaurant three times! Sandro's cooking is amazing and the service provided by Felina and Darla is personable and attentive. We will return when we are back in Ontario. Dave (not Anthony!)

Grano came as a recommendation from a friend and it did not disappoint. The ambiance is quiet, unpretentious, and cozy. Pasta and risotto dishes were delicious and made fresh in house. The showstopper was the tiramisu, which has easily become the best tiramisu I’ve EVER had (and I’m a tiramisu snob)! Thanks for an amazing experience.

I have enjoyed every dining experience I've ever had at Grano over the last ~6 years. I don't generally post reviews, but my most recent experience was so outstanding, I felt it was worth mentioning. As a past customer I know reservations are the way to go, but I had a colleague in town on short notice so we dropped in. We were warmly greeted, and informed there were 2 large parties in front of us, so there would be a wait. We were just happy there was a table as their Pollo Amore is worth any wait! Our waitress was extremely pleasant and mixed us some unique and fantastic martinis as we enjoyed the warm and cozy atmosphere. After a delicious meal, we had the Toblerone creme brulee and cheesecake. An excellent end to an excellent night!

Very happy with the quality of food and service. They have amazing Soups and Entrées. Pollo (Chicken) Amore was the best- rich and creamy! Very warm hostess and the restaurant staff. Perfect place to just relax and enjoy amazing food. Highly recommended.

My husband and I stumbled upon this restaurant after a trip to Square One. We’re so happy we did the ambience is wonderful, service excellent and the food was delicious. I had the Penne Alla Vodka and he had the Gnocchi both were amazing. The bread they serve is tasty as well. We were lucky they squeezed us in but ideally book ahead!

W wonderful gem in the heart of the city. I've been here at least a dozen times and like a wonderful bottle of wine, it keeps getting better. Margarita is such a warm sight after long days of running around and soccer practice.

My friend claimed this was his favourite restaurant and the best Italian place in Mississauga. I was skeptical at first and he always cancelling our plans to come here made me suspicious. Finally after half a year of his "wild" claims we made a day to try this place out. We both got the specials of the week and damn was I blown away by the pasta and sauce. Creamy, savory, perfect texture. Best Italian restaurant around.

We decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary at Grano and what a surprise. The place was so cozy and intimate, the service, well, it couldn't be better. Raffaella welcomed us with a big smile, and the food, the food was incredible. I ordered Pasta Pescatore and my wife Raviole stuffed with mushroom in Alfredo mushroon sauce. So delicious, well condimented and smooth. Definitely our number one restaurant. Thanks Rafaella and her husband (the chef) for making our nigh memorable.

My friends and I went to dinner last night to celebrate an upcoming wedding. The staff were wonderful. And the food was delicious!! The hostess and server were so welcoming and kind. We did not feel rushed with our meals. Thank you for making the evening so special.

Food was okay. Service was initally good. The lady at the front was awesome. However, the waitress didn't like the tip. Immediately started getting passive-aggressive and acting two-faced. Made me think I probably shouldn't have tipped at all. This did not leave a good lasting impression. I don't think a customer should be pressured or guilt tripped at all. Management should advise the waitress to be more polite next time.
