Disappointment pretty much sums up my experience at REDS. My husband and I had chosen to dine her for our Valentine's Day celebrations. We had taken a look at their menu and were intrigued with the choices that were available. The tuna poke tacos and the lobster grilled cheese had definitely caught my attention initially. We started off with a few cocktails. My husband as usual chose one with a whiskey base while I asked the waitress for the sweetest drink on the menu. The drink suggested was a white sangria. It was NOT sweet. It was super sour. Tasted awful. I ended up actually trading it with my husband's drink which was way sweeter than mine. What the hell. It was all pretty much downhill from there. The tuna poke tacos were average at best. Completely unseasoned and super bland. The truffle fries were okay. Not however worth the price in any way. For entrees, after much deliberation and asking the waitress (repeating my earlier mistake) for her suggestion i went with the lobster grilled cheese. Which turned out to be the worst disappointment of all. Overly salty and inedible. My husband on the other hand went with some roasted chicken and potatoes which he seemed to like hence the 2 stars. Overall a super duper train wreck of an experience. Maybe suggestions from the staff should not have been the way to go... A whopping $150 was just another drawback of the night and this was without dessert. 100% won't be going back. -__-

The food was surprisingly very good! Our waiter was awesome, I forgot to get his name but if you're seeing this you are the reason that customers' experiences are elevated. We ordered off the Happy Hour Menu as well as off their regular menu. The drinks were great my Elderflower Gin Seltzer was light and refreshing, we also ordered the Bellini which was a huge portion, it was nice and cold the peach flavour was sweet. Ordered the Dragon Roll for appetizers, unfortunately the portion size was very small but the flavours were spot on! I wouldn't be ordering this again. For mains we ordered the Nashville Chicken Sandwich which was also small but the chicken was crispy and juicy and the sauce was great. Unfortunately, I was not able to taste the "Nashville" aspect of it but nonetheless it was a very good crispy chicken sandwich (just very small). My wife ordered the Seared Salmon Romesco which was cooked very well. The veggies paired with it as well as its Romesco sauce were fresh and delicious. Overall, if I were in the area I may visit Reds again. But I don't think I will crave it.

Overall great first-time experience. Our server was kind and attentive. Thank goodness customer service is still alive! 👏 The drinks were yum, although I thought the hibiscus bellini would be served in a different glass and not a champagne flute. The food was delicious and full of flavour. My need to improve comment is the temperature of the food. It was lukewarm nearing cold 😕 I prefer my food hot when it arrives on the table. Dessert was tasting - I prefer the lemon Créme brulée cheesecake. Absolutely divine. But the shareable platter - it's worth it. The cost - yeah, it's pricey, but what restaurant isn't nowadays.

It was a last-minute dinner plan with one of my bff's on a Friday night. I got reservations for 7.30 pm, and we got seated as soon as we arrived. The hostess was very pleasant 😊. Once seated, our charming server asked if we wanted to start off by ordering drinks and then food. We ordered 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 dessert and drinks! For starters, we opted for the tempura sushi and tuna taco. Thai green curry chicken and shrimp risotto for mains and churros for dessert. Everything was tasty and worth the price! Our server kept checking on us, which is great customer service and very uncommon in Canada 😉. When I compare Reds to other restaurants in its league, I would say it's one of the best. I'm definitely coming back!!

What a great place! Went out looking for delicious food in a classier and nicer restaurant and this place fit the bill! The service was amazing. The food was unique and delicious. The place looks awesome too. A very clean and classy place. It’s a great place for dinner or drinks, but I’d recommend staying for both…and if you’re looking for a treat, they have a bakery with delicious sweet treats!

We had a wonderful experience dining here. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful as we brought our 7 month old baby. We decided to try the lobster grilled cheese and it was beyond delicious. Kudos to the chef as there were layers of flavor that hit the palette. I would definitely recommend eating here the ambiance was relaxing and the food beyond delicious. We definitely will return to try other menu choices. One last note: this is the first restaurant we have been to where the waiter asked us about any allergy accommodations. Very appreciated!

Great service! And the food is delicious. Truly a nice environment to have a dinner. More than one server checked in on us throughout our meal. I ordered the steak frites, my husband ordered the same with an upgrade for the larger size and my mother in law ordered the dragon roll. We all really enjoyed our food. There wasn’t even a fry left off our plates. I really enjoyed the steak, mine was cooked a perfect medium rare. The wine sauce on my steak was very delicious. I will be returning next time I go to square one!

Fairly small place with high, positive energy. We had the crispy chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and the lobster grilled cheese with a Caesar salad. The crispy chicken sandwich was extremely crispy, very juicy and was very nicely balanced with the jicama slaw. The bun was so beautiful. I almost didn't want to bite into the sandwich. But it was nicely toasted and buttered. And I'm glad that I did take a bite. The sweet potato fries were crispy and it came with a delicious dipping chipotle mayo. You may need to salt the fries yourself but not a big deal. The lobster grilled cheese was also very delicious. The best word to describe the sandwich was, decadent. It was so rich and so good but only for about half the sandwich. The second half was a little hard to finish just because of how rich it was. So much butter, cheese and then creamy avocado to boot. Still 5 out of five stars. Just very heavy. I wish they would put something in the sandwich to help cut the grease a little bit. Caesar salad was fantastic. The service was pretty good as well. We also had a peanut allergy which was accommodated without issue. Will likely be back to try another dish.

I came here for brunch with my parents and really liked the atmosphere and the food. Everything was very tasty! We got an avocado toast, classic breakfast and eggs Benedict and everything was very tasty. I really liked the large comfy booth thst we sat at aswell as the decor that is here. They also sell fresh baked goods which looked extremely tasty and wished that we picked some up

We visited on a Saturday night and it was surprisingly so quiet with just one other couple seated in our section. The food was slightly on the pricey end but was really good so I would’ve expected it to be more popular. We ordered a few items off the happy hour menu including the Dragon Roll and Nashville Chicken Sandwich. We also ordered our cocktails from the happy hour menu; the Elderflower Gin Seltzer and the Bellini. Off the regular menu we ordered the Seared Salmon Romesco. The food was all very good and everything tasted amazing; we have absolutely no complaints. However I wouldn’t order the sushi roll again just because it’s pretty expensive for the serving and what it is. The drinks had great flavour and were refreshing; the Bellini is quite large and we found it difficult to finish between 2 people. I’ve had some disappointing fish dishes but the salmon was definitely not one of them. The service was great and our server did an amazing job at recommending us these dishes.

After hearing so much about the tarts I finally got a chance to try their the famous two bites butter tarts. They turned out to be nice and flaky yet heavy and abit greasy on the palate. I wish they were warm as it would have been a different experience. I would still recommend it as it was balanced sweet and fresh tasting other than the warm temperature would have tasted better.

We went for the weekend brunch - it was outstanding! The Eggs Benedict was very good and the home fries were perfect. The Lobster Avocado Toast was soooo tasty! The Mimosas were just right too. Very good service. And now dinner - outstanding!

I came here around 5:30pm and it was not busy. The staff and waiter are so accomodating. I got the chicken carbonara and shared truffle fries with a company of mine. I absolutely love my first experience here. The food was delicious and the laidback environment is amazing. I will definitely come back next time!

Had an impromptu dinner.. hadn't been to Reds in a long while, and it didn't disappoint. The food was still as excellent as I remembered. Had my go to Salmon, and I loved the entire meal. Although I was full, I still had to try the raspberry butter tart. It was amazing and just the perfect size!!! 🥰 great food, and great ambiance. Perfect spot when you are with friends to grab a bite after 🛍 shopping.

We just love coming back to Reds Square one. As usual the food was amazing. We ordered Chicken Carbonara.. Flat bread, Bangkok nachos and Cranberry fizz. Nick was our server for the evening. He was super attentive to us, made sure he was available at all times and gave swift service. Thank you Nick. Our experience keeps getting better with every visit. Thank you Reds Square one.

Shrimp ravioli and classic steak were great!!! Steak was cooked to our requested preference (medium rare) and super juicy. The shrimps were cooked perfectly. The low lighting was romantic making it a great date spot!

Our server Laura was so sweet and kind! We gathered for a business meeting and she was very hospitable! She recommended me to try the new Post Malone Rosé wine to pair with my ravioli, It went very nicely together. Later on in the meal she also helped me try out some new cocktails like the Moscow mule and that was also a great suggestion. She was attentive and came back to our table always in a timely manner and answered all our questions with a smile! Thank you Laura for the excellent evening out with my colleagues. We will definitely be having more business meetings here!

*Note: Reds in Square One will be closed for renovations July 16th-22nd. My family and I have been to Reds at Square One several times and they never disappoint! We returned to Reds with extended family last night and I thought it was long overdue for review. Pros: Exceptional food, excellent service, great interior atmosphere! Clean, including individual bathroom stalls, amazing bakery attached! The two bite butter tarts are a favourite! Excellent wine, beer and cocktail selection with half-price bottles of wine on occasion. The restaurant is attached to Square One, so it’s central to shopping, movie theatre, entertainment and more. Cons: It is attached to Square One Mall which for some might be off putting but if you sit away from window facing the mall entrance or more inside the patio, you would never know. *Location is also a pro because you can stop in for a delicious sit down meal after shopping. Jessica was our server this time. She promptly introduced herself (which gains a point from me), she was attentive providing water before our guests arrived and info about the menu. She attended to us immediately once everyone was seated. Service was fast and fantastic! We ordered a mushroom flatbread for the table and I ordered the brisket burger (SO juicy and delicious) with truffle fries (they’re the best I’ve had at any location so far). My hubby and one guest ordered the lobster grilled cheese. They both loved it. I had a bite and even found there was a generous portion of lobster in the single bite. He’s lucky I didn’t eat more.😉 One guest ordered chicken tenders - really, they’re more like chicken strips. Large portions made with real chicken and a wonderful crispy batter. They looked delicious and our guest said they were amazing! My niece ordered the chicken sandwich and said it was excellent also. This location has delivered 5 stars on every visit we’ve made so far. I’m excited (and a little nervous) for their renos since they are totally redoing the interior and changing the menu which we love already but we will visit again soon and I’ll update my review based on their changes.

Great calamari 🐙 as an appetizer. The hostess recommended the lobster 🦞 sandwich 🥪 which was great 👍🏾 I had a side Ceasar 🥗. I won't order it again because I preferred the shrimp 🍤 ravioli. I can't wait to go back. My server was underwhelming. He was polite and professional but not friendly. Didn't strike up a convo and he wasn't warm.

My daughter and I decided to go for dinner at Reds after shopping at Square One last Friday. This restaurant is absolutely gorgeous inside - spacious booths, tables and a beautiful bar. Our server, Maya, was excellent - great personality, helpful and attentive. Most importantly, she knew the menu very well and gave recommendations based on our dietary restrictions. We ordered an appetizer - tempura asparagus with rosemary garlic aioli which was very tasty with a slight kick. I had the yellow fin tuna tataki salad which was flavourful and amazing. My daughter had the cheeseburger and fries. Burger meat was delicious and of superior quality. Fries were hand cut - crispy and fresh. For dessert, we had the flourless chocolate torte served with strawberries, powdered sugar and a light sauce containing alcohol underneath it which was incredible (a very large slice to share). My daughter ordered 2 bite-size lemon tarts to go. We had the best dinner in many years. It was a very relaxing environment with minimal noise for a Friday night. We can’t wait to go back to try other items from their interesting menu. Maya told us they will be closing for a week to revamp their menu. Well done!

Only been my second time eating here and the experience has been wonderful. The food looks and tastes great, the price point I'd say is good with the quality of their menu, and the server we had is delightful to converse with (Thank you Julie) Try their butter tarts (as shown in the picture). They are delicious and not too sweet. They also have a window open on the side by their baking area to buy any of the desserts on display.

went out for dinner. it was very delicious! had the chicken lettuce wraps to start with (which were excellent and i say that as someone who doesn’t like lettuce - just forgot to take a picture). the drinks were perfectly well made and the cheesecake was delectable. my only complaint is the portion size for the pasta. for 32$ (plus tax) i get 7 ravioli? it was good, but a bit too buttery and not squashy enough. great service staff, everyone was very kind, and the restaurant is beautiful with a good atmosphere. there was also a fire alarm blaring in the mall which damped the vibes a little but it wasn’t their fault! still looking forward to going again. i probably just won’t get the pasta.

Great vibe and absolutely great service from Jay however the food requires some improvement for the price. Once you enter this place, you can see they have invested very well in their decor and seating. The front desk was courteous and we requested for a booth for the 2 of us and he took us to a comfortable spot. Our server Jay was brilliant. He clearly understood our taste pallet and we requested for mains that had the best spice and flavour - he complied but also shared the option of their hot sauce and hot butter. I requested for both, just in case. However the food was even more tasteless than expected. Lets start with the Nashville fried chicken. Most people know that Nashville fried chicken is marinated in a Nashville hot sauce AND is coated in a cayenne pepper sauce. Reds failed to effectively do both. The chicken was dry too (see the image). For $25 for a burger, it was disappointing. The Thai curry was absolutely bland and had nothing Thai about it. My wife and I had to request 2 servings of the hot butter, which was good, to bring some flavour to the food. Do not go for their hot sauce as it is just pre-packed red colour vinegar without flavour. Their hot butter is good. Reds team - please look into your cooking and recipes as for the price you are charging, I had expected more authentic food. Kudos to Jay and the entire service team for a great job.

We had a wonderful experience here. We had the Valentine Prix fixe meal and half price Tuesday bottle of wine. Both were great! I also want to highlight the service. Fran, our server was amazing and helped to make the meal such a positive experience! Thanks Fran!

First time to be here at Reds. Square One Parking lot is a bit tricky but I found myself a spot for not too long. The ambiance was great and even if our reservation was at 7PM, and I was an hour early they let me sit at our reserved table for two. The Passion Fruit Mint Mojito was amazing first of all. In fact I had 3 glasses of those, it was a non alcoholic drink, I had to ask one more time to be sure but obviously I tasted no rum in there but the taste was just fantastic. I ordered the spaghetti Alfredo with steak as meat and it was great. It was a bit too heavy for me and I already had the salt & pepper chicken wings for starters. My friend had the Butternut Squash Ravioli + Prawns and the same drink (she had 2 glasses as she was also convinced that spirit free mojito was great). We had churros and coffee to cap it off. The service was great, our waiter was very attentive to our needs. The washrooms were divine! The best I have ever seen so far compared to other restaurants. Very classy and clean. Overall a good place, people having a good time with their family and friends while having dinner. Paid around $65 for my plate + chicken wings including the tip and I blame the 3 glasses of mojito. Highly recommend this place to have dinner with friends and family and you have the Square One mall to go window shopping afterwards to bring the food down a bit.

Great service. As many reviews said. Food needs an epic revamp for price. They try to be hip with their new menu but serves pizza similar to frozen pizza for 21$.. kidding me?! Also pls do not get the lobster sushi.. lobster is very fishy because it is not fresh... Aside from that. Great atmosphere:)

Great place for a casual evening. Food, drinks and service was simply perfect. Nice ambience and a great sports bar kind of feel made for easy casual conversations with whoever you have for company. We visited on a weeknight and didn't have to wait for a table or for anything we ordered. Enjoyed their unconventional decoration ideas with shoe displays. I would like to visit again this time you try their famous tarts. Worth a visit for everyone if you are in the area.

On Tuesday my friend Mark was visiting from Ottawa. I made a spontaneous decision to gather my other two best friends and made it an evening out to celebrate Marks achievements for 2023. The manager Aakash was amazing. He went above and beyond to make sure our evening was memorable. The chefs were on point in the kitchen. All four meals were 👍🏾👍🏾delicious and very tasty. I have been to this restaurant on three occasions for brunch previously and my experience was always good but tonight was exceptional. We all left feeling like VIP’s. The service was that great. The tarts were lovely as well. Thank you manager Aakash and Laura the waitress for a great experience. We will definitely be back in the coming year. My friends have never been at REDS before and was happy I made the choice to dine there. See you guys in the coming year 🥂cheers to manager and staff. Below are the meals we ordered. Presentation was on point 👍🏾😊

This was our first time eating here, our food was hot and fresh. I forgot to take a picture of our appetizer which was calamari maybe because I was so hungry. Our least favourite was the calamari, it was chewy/rubbery and not crispy. I got the steak and shrimp which was good except for the quality of steak, but the flavour was there. The shrimp was my favourite in my dish. I also tried my friends lobster grilled cheese, and the flavour was really good. My absolute favourite was the lemon crème brûlée cheesecake it’s a must try!

We visited this restaurant on Monday. It was amazing. The atmosphere was very good and we were nicely shown to a table and the server assisted us very well. The food was amazing. It tasted very good. Will definitely come back to the restaurant.

The food is a 4/5, I’m giving a 3/5 because the service wasn’t that great. We waited a few long minutes to be seated and I noticed everyone was standing for a while before being seated to a table (which made me think maybe they were understaffed for a Tuesday, but it wasn’t busy) so I didn’t feel singled out. Apart from the service not being great, we also had to wait on the food. It felt like a Friday in there minus the bustle of lots of people. I will give Reds credit for the cool, dark, yet sophisticated atmosphere and really great tasting food.
