The Roerich Museum at VDNKh is not the MCR. The MCR was plundered and is not allowed to work. After all, the ICR was supposed to carry out its activities for people not for money, such was the desire of the Roerichs. And in general the authenticity of the works is questionable. View information about this trial on the ICR website. There is corruption and deception all around.

The museum was ruined. The spirit of Roerich's spiritual quest is not specifically reflected in any accompanying signature. As if in passing, the main driving force that guided the Roerichs throughout their lives is mentioned. About everyday life. Tickets cannot be paid by card. Cash only. Why? The guide was one and infinitely edifying. I couldn't listen. The exhibitions are good, but this is due only to the authors of the paintings.

Roerich- mystic, painter, Durector of second most prominent Art Academy in Imperial Russia, archeologist, slavist, "western" Buddhist, White emigree, tried to repatriate to Soviet Russia, at one time much popularised in America, conducted US sponsored expeditions to China, India and Himalyee. Lived last 20 years and died in Nagar, Himalyee (India). Left 7000 paintings. Considered one of the best painters of mountain landscapes. Museums in Moscow, Russia and New York. Paintings exhibited from Tretyakov to Louvre and Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Helped re-established in modern Russia by Raisa Gorbacheva (Gorbachev's wife). Putin mentioned him in his talks with Indians in 2002 - the person, who bridges culture of the two countries. Stalin wrote not to answer his letters proposing his return to the USSR. Regarding Museum itself - the location is in the very heart of Moscow but mostly people skip it as it is surrounded by bigger and more prominent attractions. One hour guided trip that starts at 1800 makes a huge difference in understanding the context and what Roerich was about. The building feels very old but not much left of original interior. A good destination if you want to learn something off the beaten track.

The museum is wonderful! The exhibition is very well designed. The staff is courteous and attentive. I listened to several tour guides - they presented the material perfectly. The creative developments of the Museum staff are encouraging: many interesting lectures: about Mars, about Lenin, about synesthesia, as the unity of feeling and knowledge in the work of Russian cosmists and Living Ethics, etc.; excursions are conducted not only sightseeing, but also thematic, quest excursions, etc. Attracting attention is such a form of work with visitors as “Fireside Conversations”, where guests can get acquainted with the philosophical system of Living Ethics, perceive and perceive through the artistic creativity of N.K. Roerich to understand the deep processes that take place in the Cosmos and are reflected in our earthly life, etc. The Museum has an art studio “Treasure of the World”, where those interested will be taught how to draw in layers of tempera painting courses

Yesterday I was at an exhibition from the collections of the Roerich Museum. Unfortunately, it was not possible to enjoy communicating with the work of wonderful artists. The caretaker of the hall performed her duties too diligently (a very unpleasant person), she watched and peeked. Her behavior suggests that she is either not entirely healthy, or used to work as a guard. I was still surprised when a young woman flew out of the hall in front of me like a bullet. Our feelings probably coincided. It’s good that normal employees worked at the main exhibition. Their presence didn't bother me at all. The museum is very interesting and varied. This was the first visit. I will definitely go again, but with more time. I bought a wonderful catalogue, and to remember the moment from visiting the first exhibition I bought postcards. By the way, very good quality. And the kiosk seller turned out to be a very nice and attentive woman. Even though the kiosk was already closing, she gave me just enough time to familiarize myself with the contents of the kiosk. I apologize that my review of visiting the exhibition focused more on the behavioral component of the employees who serve visitors. But a museum “begins with a hanger”... Spiridonova Olga

I visited the museum for the first time in March. I think the museum is unique! I was surprised how beautifully and modernly the halls were decorated, freshly renovated, interesting exhibitions, and a very cozy courtyard. no feeling of “museum dust” In addition to the paintings, I really liked the maps of the mountains of Tibet and the huge globe, I was also interested in the personal belongings of the artist and his family - the equipment they used to go hiking with (will be interesting to all hikers) and of course Nefertiti’s ring!!! It’s a pity that some paintings are missing, especially in the space hall where the paintings are illuminated from the inside. I hope all misunderstandings will go away and the museum will continue its work.
