Nowadays it's an administration building, but before it was a washroom. I wish I could take a steam bath here! Very cool wooden architecture. Respect!

A Swiss house that was built by the architect N. L. Benoit in the 1870s. This house was the last object that appeared in the estate. An unusual structure, which is especially memorable because of the decoration. The first floor is finished in brick, and the second in wood. A unique solution. The second floor balcony is interestingly designed. It seems to form a roof over the space of the first. It is known that the first floor was used for a bathhouse, and on the second floor one could relax. The room turned out to be closed, although we and many other people took turns going up to the balcony and trying to get inside.

The Swiss house is the most recent manor building. It was built in the 1870s according to the design of the architect Benoit. The wooden two-story building differs in style from other buildings in the Kuskovo estate park. The walls of the first floor are painted to look like brick (like a Dutch house), and the decoration of the second floor is wood carving. The second floor has a large balcony located around the entire perimeter of the building. The gable roof covers a carved wooden balcony on all sides. The last owner of the estate, S.D., lived in this house before the revolution. Sheremetyev. At one time there was even a restaurant here. Nowadays the administration of the Kuskovo Museum is located in the Swiss House.

The house is very original. You can take a bunch of photos from different angles. Such architecture looks funny together with new security and video monitoring equipment.

It's a shame that it was closed.

🏠 very beautiful and strong! I would really like one of these! This is how to build, what kind of houses should be! Strong, reliable, big, beautiful!
