The
temple
was
built
in
the
period
1908
-
1913.
This
is
one
of
the
last
Temples
built
before
the
revolution
within
Moscow.
The
consecration
of
the
new
Temple
took
place
in
1913.
Features:
-
The
altar
of
the
temple
faces
SOUTH
to
the
Holy
Land,
to
Jerusalem
to
the
Holy
Sepulcher
and,
accordingly,
the
name
Resurrection.
-The
temple
has
9
domes:
8
are
black,
and
the
central
one
is
gilded.
The
place
is
prayed
for.
The
temple
was
never
closed
after
the
revolution.
Large
icons
decorate
the
facades
of
the
building.
There
are
four
limits
in
the
Temple.
Of
interest
is
the
carved
cypress
iconostasis,
made
in
the
Greek
style,
not
gilded.
To
the
left
of
the
iconostasis
from
the
royal
doors
is
an
icon
of
the
Iveron
Mother
of
God,
and
to
the
right
is
an
icon
of
the
Ascension
of
Jesus
Christ.
Icon
cases
are
made
of
bog
oak.
There
are
many
ancient
icons
in
the
temple:
the
Mother
of
God
of
Bogolyubskaya,
the
icon
of
the
Iveron
Mother
of
God,
St.
Nicholas
the
Saint,
Panteleimon
the
healer,
etc.
Icons
and
reliquaries
were
transferred
to
this
temple
from
the
closing
and
destroying
churches
of
Moscow
during
the
period
of
the
atheism.

The
“Healer”
icon,
which
has
changed
several
monasteries
since
the
18th
century,
until
it
remained
in
the
Church
of
the
Resurrection
of
Christ
in
Sokolniki.
This
copy
of
the
ancient
image
of
the
Mother
of
God
has
a
long
list
of
miraculous
cures
for
serious
illnesses.

from
the
Varvarsky
Gate
of
the
city
in
Moscow,
where
it
had
been
located
since
the
time
of
Peter

believed
that
this
image
also
heals

protects

Mother
of
God

a
copy
of
an
icon
brought
from
Mount
Athos
in
the
17th
century.

This
icon
is
also
called
the
Goalkeeper
and
is
the
patroness
of
Moscow.

Passionate
Icon
of
the
Mother
of
God
is
from
the
17th
century,
transferred
from
the
Passion
Monastery
specially
built
for
her.

the
Mother

pennies)
and
others

The
temple
also
contains
icons:
the
Great
Martyr
Panteleimon
from
the
Lubyansky
Gate,
the
Righteous
Alexy,
the
Apostles
Peter
and
Paul,
the
Martyrs
Florus
and
Laurus,
St.
Nicholas,
St.
George
the
Victorious,
John
the
Baptist,
and
many
icons
of
other
personalities
revered
by
the
church.
More
than
a
hundred
pieces
of
the
remains
of
saints
and
martyrs
are
kept
in
the
Church
of
the
Resurrection
of
Christ:
these
are
the
relics
of
40
Sebastian
martyrs
of
the
4th
century,
three
saints
(Basily
the
Great,
Gregory
the
Theologian
and
John
Chrysostom),
evangelists,
great
martyrs
Panteleimon,
Tryphon,
Marina,
Saint
Nicholas
(about
15)
and
Luke
Voino-Yasenetsky,
Seraphim
of
Sarov,
there
is
even
a
piece
of
the
Tree
of
the
Lord
and
many
unidentified
relics
from
different
monasteries.
Of
particular
interest
is
the
icon
of
the
Georgian
Mother
of
God,
which
was
in
the
chambers
of
Empress
Anna
Ioannovna.
The
robe
of
this
Icon
is
hand-embroidered
using
precious
stones.
The
icon
was
kept
in
the
Alekseevsky
Monastery
of
Krasnoe
Selo
and
was
transferred
to
this
Temple
during
the
period
of
God’s
struggle.
The
atmosphere
inside
is
comfortable.
The
people
are
friendly.
The
territory
is
fenced
off,
well-groomed,
beautifully
planned.
