Excellent
historic
store
downtown!
Interiors
are
grand!
When
it
was
done
in
1901
average
Muscovites
were
too
shy
to
get
inside,
it
was
too
posh.
Eliseev
portraits
are
in
various
formats
in
and
around
the
store.
Dramatic
family
life
for
this
guy
though.
He
was
too
busy
to
cheat
on
his
wife
for
very
long
time,
but
then
by
accident
met
this
woman,
who
was
married
too,
so
he
said
he
fell
in
love,
began
to
live
with
her,
renting
12
room
bedroom
for
her.
His
many
children
were
dismayed.
Moscow
store
was
opened
in
1901
and
in
1914,
aften
Grigory
traveled
to
France
with
his
new
love,
his
wife
after
several
failed
attempts
hung
herself
using
towels.
Grigory
did
not
come
for
funerals
and
did
not
send
wreath.
After
that
his
children
totally
cut
their
ties
with
him,
denouncing
even
nobility
status.
Coulpe
years
later
revolution
broke
out,
2
of
his
sons
were
shot.
Grigory
and
his
love
moved
to
Paris,
she
died
in
1946
and
he
died
couple
years
after..
