The Harvest Restaurant at Shasta Inn exceeded our expectations and provided a much-needed respite after a long day of hiking. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, which was full of flavor and expertly prepared. We started with the spicy mussels and the ahi tuna dip. The mussles were a tad over cooked but still a great starter. The tuna dip was paired with delicious wonton chips. For our main courses, we decided to try the fried chicken and the short rib roast. Both dishes were expertly cooked and absolutely delicious. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy, with a flavorful breading that added just the right amount of crunch. The mac and cheese as a side was amazing! Perfect comfort food dish. The short rib roast was tender and succulent with mash potatoes making it a perfect dish. Our waiter, Trevor, was attentive and friendly, making us feel welcome and at home. The cozy ambiance by the fireplace added to the overall experience. Highly recommend Harvest to anyone visiting the area. It is on the pricier side. With delicious food, good service, and a cozy ambiance, it's the perfect spot to unwind after a long day of hiking or exploring the surrounding area.

When we arrived at 6:45pm and they were able to seat us right away even though I made reservations for two at 7pm on Jan 15, 2023. We ordered our cocktails..a moscow mule and spicy margarita and let me just say the cocktails were just ok. It was lacking more alcohol. So wasn’t so impressed with the drinks. We were hungry so right away we placed our order when we ordered our cocktails. We ordered a house salad, short ribs and mussels. Keep in mind I noted the time we sat down and the time we got our food. We had to wait an 1 hour and 10 mins for our food to arrive and when It arrived the food was not even steaming hot, just warm and salad leaves were wilted. Basically we just ate our food and left right away not even wanting desserts. For a $100 worth of meal and you had to wait that long it was not worth it. Lackluster service and food coming out warm is not what I expected.

This was our second time here and will be our last. Wait was over an hour for our food and that's no problem if the food is good and worth the wait. Nope. A medium rare steak with no pink inside and tough as nails. For 38 dollars it should melt in your mouth. Fried chicken was tasteless. Potatoes were tasteless. Brussel sprouts were delish, but cold in the middle. Dessert below par. This restaurant has a small menu. When you have a small menu your food should be delightful. It's unfortunate because the inside of this restaurant is beautiful with an astounding ambience. Fyi. No salads and no bread come with any meal.

Overall good experience. The food was exceptional, and the wait staff was professional. My only complaint is allowing people to come in with dogs, it's just not sanitary. It very obviously wasn't a service dog and barked 3-4 times in the 15 minutes we stayed after they sat the couple with the dog.

We went to Harvest (inside Shasta Inn) for the first time last night. Not sure why we waited so long to go; it was fabulous. From the drinks ( a little disappointed they didn't have mint for the Mojito) I had a greyhound; to the Crab Cake Appetizer and onto the Bleu Cheese Crumble Salad and then my Entree of the Braised Short Rib (almost as good as mine) was absolutely delicious! They were extremely busy in there almost all tables were full with 2 servers and the bar packed as well. The staff worked hard to accommodate all the patrons needs and for that they get "Kudos" from our group. Others in our group had the Peruvian Chicken and said it was off the hook. It is not often we all clean our plates (and portions were nice). Highly recommend this gem of a resturant in Mount Shasta, Ca. We definitely will return.

Pretty good food! We stayed at the Shasta Inn, and Harvest is located inside the lobby space, this made dinner super easy. I had the short ribs, which was perfectly cooked, 5 stars. My husband got the fried chicken with mac’n cheese. The mac’n cheese was really good, but I wasn’t crazy about the seasoning on the fried chicken and we both thought it was a little overcooked. Nice menu has something for everyone.

Cozy atmosphere with the option of dining by the fireplace, but I sat at the bar with a nice selection of beers on tap and spirits to keep me warm. I'm normally one to just order a burger but I was feeling a little more adventurous and ordered the Peruvian Chicken. Hard to write a review when I'm at a loss for words on how delicious chicken can be, but it's that good. I even ate all my veggies! Looking forward to try something new again, or maybe come back for that burger...

Had the best chicken. I’m Northern California as I was told. Good chicken dinner comes with Mac n cheese. Sat by the fire would love to check their other meal options as they seem to sell out. Check ‘em out I did.

We had a delicious meal. Amazing service from everyone. The owners were so friendly and took time to talk w us even though they were busy. The fried chicken and the burger were delicious. Great drinks and value for the price!

Absolutely stoked about this place! We’ve stayed at Mt Shasta Inn often and are so glad to see a restaurant here. The food was fantastic. From a spoiled city girl palate: HELL YES and thank you! We had the ravioli and the brussel sprouts. Both some of the best I’ve ever had. Wish I ordered more things. Can’t wait to come back and try more.
