My partner and I went for lunch and it was absolutely spectacular! We were seated by the most beautiful ocean views. The service from the time of arrival to our departure was wonderful. The food, OH MY GOSH the food was so delicious, the portions were perfect the taste, the flavors, I had no complaints whatsoever. We both had an amazing time!

Beautiful setting, but the quality of the food and the service does not match up to its prices. 2 adults and 1 child spent £300 ( over $600BBD), we did not have any alcohol, and the child had 1 pizza, and we only had 1 desert. The starters and mains were OK and nicely presented, but quite bland. We were not allowed to use the beach facilities afterwards as they're for residents only, and we were not made to feel very welcome. We also had a 3 month baby in a buggy, there a lot of steps and nobody offered to help us carry the buggy up or down the steps yet they encourage families and infants. Perhaps if you are staying overnight, you get better treatment, but the food is still not up to scratch. We had much better quality and value meals down the southwest of the island - Champers, Salt Cafe & Naru are all gorgeous and their welcomes are warm.

Really lovely decor. Good spot next to sea but most the places along west coast have that. Poor service until we gave feedback when about to pay the bill! arrived at the restaurant and the woman at top of stairs was sitting there with her head on her elbow looking bored, sent us downstairs to another greeter who did not even speak to us just gestured to us to follow. Had to move tables as floor so bouncy was like being on a boat. The steak was underweight, no way that was 10oz raw weight! no one asked for feedback until we came to pay the bill, they gave us a discount but would have preferred to get a decent night out to begin with. Staff not very attentive or friendly. Vastly overpriced, if you want amazing service and bang for your buck go to Tides Restaurant just down the road, wipes the floor with this place any day of the week!

Wow, what a restaurant food was spectacular, the view and setting to die for. Go there just before sunset and enjoy a drink before dinner. This is not cheap, but the best hardly ever is. I went with a big group, but this would be such a romantic place to be with your special 💗 half. Highly recommended 👌

Lone Star is a lively setting, right on the beach with gorgeous swimming immediately in front. The service (immediately post-Covid) was warm and attentive although I thought the quality of the cuisine was not up to standard. I had a caesar salad to start followed by a medium burger (a speciality)...all just ok...handout fries lacked flavour, etc. The devil is always in the details. This is a high profile address and worth a visit as long as they work on their kitchen and attention to detail.

Lone Star is an elegant restaurant right on the water, a short walk away from where we were staying at Fairmont Royal Pavilion. In our 2 week stay in Barbados, we came twice to Lone Star. The food is delicious, the facility is beautiful, the staff is very friendly and welcoming. We had some great conversations on our first visit, and they have some nice cocktails. The blackened fish is killer, and the proximity to the water makes the entire experience feel special. Great for a tasty memory while in the area.

Had dinner, food was amazing but service from Shacoby and Carlos made the evening even more special. The were more than attentive and laughed and joked with us all night. We witnessed a turtle coming out the sea to bury her eggs directly under the bushes by our table. A once in a lifetime experience. Can't rate the rooms as we weren't staying in the hotel

Appetizer- Scallops Main - Oz Ribeye Dessert - Sticky Toffee Pudding I enjoyed my experience ... again haha and the service, the warmth from the waitresses, the ambience and the accommodation from the manager when I asked a question re persons smoking behind where I was seated. I been a few times before and every time I come I enjoy myself and the food. Always do my food dance.

We had dinner at the Lone Star restaurant. It was OK, but nothing special. The menu is good and has lots of selection. The food was fine, but did not feel like fine dining. Service was a bit of a let down. No issues, but no "service with a smile" either. Our waiter did not seem very happy to be working that evening, so while everything was fine, I don't think she cracked a smile once. Everyone else we encountered in Barbados seemed so nice and friendly, that it almost felt like the grumpy people were all collected to work at the Lone Star! :)

The views of the beach and sea are stunning with a cooling breeze. The seating is comfortable service was swift and attentive. Both the cocktails and food were delicious. Afterwards you can chill out on the paradise beach. Book ahead.

I have to say this is one of the best restaurants in Barbados. Great food, great location and vibe, decor and design is superb along with very friendly staff. You will not be disappointed.

Went for drinks and live music (Kevans the best!) But after he was finished (5pm) they brought us the bill, when we didnt ask for it and when we said we wanted to have another round they made us settle up and didn't come back to take our order. View is great and drinks are good but expensive.

Restaurant with outstanding views of the ocean and amazing food. Great service and the overally quality was excellent. We visited at lunchtime and it was extremely hot in the restaurant (quite uncomfortable). The fans do very little to create any cooling and we visited many other places that have better air circulation to keep cool outside - for the price of the food & drinks more needs to be invested here for daytime

If you want a resturant with a sea view then you will not be disappointed. Attentive staff and good food. The only issue i had was getting my elderly mother down the long flight of steps from the entrance to the tables. I should have asked if they had another way down.

We didn't stay, we came for lunch and it was excellent. D'Sean looked after us so beautifully. Neither my water nor my wine glass was ever empty. The food was first class, and the location stunning!

After reading the reviews we decided to check this place out for dinner cause they seemed good, but I've become very perplexed after our experience. Location is absolutely beautiful and I think this is what you're truly paying for. Regarding the food and service? Gosh, where do I start. First of all, we were told we only had a reservation from 6:30-8:30pm. We arrived 15 minutes earlier but they wouldnt let us sit at the table which was already set up. Instead, they made us wait next to the bar until the clock striked 6:30 pm to get to the table. I have never seen such a thing... The parmesan trufflie fries were extremy poor..lacked parmesan and truffle but were not bad. Everything else we ate was bland. The seafood curry and west indian curry tasted almost the same and lacked flavor. The waiters were so unfriendly, they didn't even say thank you when we paid the bill. No one asked us how we were doing or whether we needed anything. One waiter poured wine for everyone on the table except for one. Really poor staff training I would say and they have much to learn. We were so dissapointed we went to another restaurant called tides to finish up our dinner and get dessert. It was a night and day difference!! The next day we spoke to some locals and all them told us that this place has a really bad reputation and they never eat here. Perhaps it was better to come for a quick lunch bite but nothing more. If you know good food, please dont waste your money and time here. You will be dissapointed.

Very pretty. Great location but not very flexible. I had a lunch reservation and knew had a couple of hours to kill, so specifically asked when booking if we could use the beach facilities. Got there and told as they were busy we can't use the sun loungers. Minor thing that could of been handled much better

This place is getting 2 stars for the beautiful scenery (which most fine restaurants have in Barbados). We had a party of 6 people (2 of which were visitors from the States) - this was our final night in beautiful Barbados and we picked this restaurant and have lovely photos of the sunset. Unfortunately, the food and drinks did not live up to expectations. First of all, as soon as we sat for our 5:30 reservation, the waiter said we have a time limit - I thought this was in poor taste. My friend who is not a big drinker could not taste the alcohol in her drink and had to send it to be topped off. Two of us ordered the ribeye steaks. We had to send them back because they were not hot. This was completely unacceptable - so we had to wait while the rest of our party finished their food. Serving size was small and flavor was lack-luster - it was not a 10oz ribeye. No manager came to check on us and no discount offered. This was not a cheap meal which made it even more disappointing.

Went for a Sunday lunch. Food was very good. Drinks came late so was not charged for them.

Omg. Not going to gate keep, Lone Star is ABSOLUTELY the best on the northeastern side of the island for BREAKFAST and LUNCH !!! We had eggs Benedict, eggs and mashed avocado, bacon and hash browns!!!!! Coffee and champagne ! Lunch: coconut shrimp and tuna tartare then the fish of the day and ribs. Chef’s kiss ! All of our if our servers were top notch. Special shot out to the bartender at lunch on Sunday. The hardest working man in the business ! The best old fashions!!! Love this place! I’m obsessed 😍

Had an early seating, 17:30 to enjoy the wonderful sunset at the restaurant. Started with a few cocktails and found my new favourite, espresso martini. The drinks were amazing and the entire meal a highlight for our visit to the West Coast. Will certainly return to explore other entrees on the wonderful menu. Our dining experience was top notch and I cant say enough about the staff!

We had dinner on our last night in Barbados at Lone Star restaurant We enjoyed the sunset from the bar with some great cocktails and friendly service. Our server, Hallam, was professional and down to earth. Dinner was fantastic as were the drinks. Can’t recommend this place more for the lovely view paired with fantastic food.

We ate here for lunch and another time for dinner. Great food,impeccable service,beautiful surroundings and decor. Great for a sundowner drink on the veranda too. You must try this place - one of the best.

Cannot comment on the rooms as only went for lunch to the restaurant - the food tasted really nice but the staff was very inattentive. No asking about wanting any more drinks, no checking in during or before our meal. I felt like a burden while being seated there and it felt like they couldn't wait for us to leave. The location is wonderful and as I said the quality of the food was excellent- however I did not feel welcome and would not come back given the price tag.

Service was impeccable. Food was outstanding. They made our last dinner in Barbados so enjoyable! From the moment we got there...staff making a space for us to park; treating my 2 children like royalty; and surprising us with a "Bon-Voyage" dessert. Just magical. Music, atmosphere...and don't get me started on the gorgeous sunset views. Perfect place to celebrate an occasion, enjoy a date night, or have a drink by the ocean. Spectacular!

Went here for a dinner. Although the food was delicious, we felt extremely rushed through our dinner. Even after explicitly asking to give us a minute before moving on to dessert, server was back at our table to take our order 5 minutes after. Not usually an issue, but for a 300 usd dinner for two I expect more of an experience.

I have visited this restaurant around 10 times at least over that last few years, after this evenings experience I would say Its my most favourite restaurant in the world and I say that with complete confidence. Before today it was lunch times we visited and it was a wow experience from the moment you walk through the doors and see the view through to the sea. Today it was the sunset experience, the staff and service was brilliant and our table could not be more perfect to see the sunset. The food is always fantastic and drink quality never fails. Highly recommend A*****

The staff was pleasant. Especially the bartenders. It was slightly weird though. I noticed that as black person some of the white guest were looking at me like I was lost or like "what is she doing here". But besides that it was a cool experience.

Excellent high end restaurant. The Thai curry with chicken was superb. The staff were frendly and efficient - a special thanks to our waitress Katrina, who was happy to have a laugh and a joke. Worth arriving early to go to the bar for pre dinner drinks, the bar staff were skilled and willing to have a chat. Altogether a great experience. Did not stay at the hotel, so cannot comment.

We didn't stay at the Hotel, so can't comment on what that is like, but the location is BEAUTIFUL!! We went there twice during our time in barbados for lunch and we loved it. Have heard you need to book quite far in advance for a dinner reservation, but we just walked in both times for lunch. Food was great, service was great and the setting was amazing. We could've sat there all day drinking wine and watching the world go by. Highly recommend!!

Service is island time but food and drinks was pretty good. The view is what really sets this place apart from others. Can’t beat fine dining on the beach.

Normally my favourite place to eat but tonight the service was sullen or at best transactional. Food was slow from the kitchen and did not match the description. Accept that they gave me a discount on the meal but would rather pay the price and get the old service and food quality. they need to sort themselves out and get back to the quality we all expect.

The most beautiful and romantic restaurant I've visited in Barbados, possibly in the world. I highly recommend this place. Lunch, dinner what ever you like. The fact you can walk down to the beach after dinner is such a lovely touch.

Whenever we come to Barbados, we inevitably end up with an evening here. Very nicely appointed and a terrific ambiance that is romantic as it is classy/chic. We definately come here for the ambiance and setting. The menu is limited and they do each fairly well. coconut shrimp was good (mostly because I loved the dipping sauce). Red Snapper was good but portions small for what I was expecting for the price. Perfectly done and seasoned. My date had the Sheppard’s Pie due to a craving and she loved it. Cocktails and reception are weak points. While inventive, they failed in taste and in value. Overpriced and not that good. Stick to the basics and avoid their cocktail sections. I was a bit turned off with the reception. We had reservations and got seated towards the back near the stairs. I watched 2-3 tables sit empty near the beach front for the entire course of our meal. Wondered why we weren’t given better seating? Service was great. Polite and courteous with good service.

Service was excellent. From the gentlemen that answered our call when we were running late, to the wait staff. So far this has been the BEST dining experience. We were always greeted with "smiles" (protocols are placed for wearing masks). The food was amazing! Chef Khalid literally made his food with love. I will definitely be back.

I went for dinner here a few times just hoping to get some amazing food that the island rave about, I never got it. I can’t be the only one who thinks this place is over rated for food?! I sent back my lobster twice because it was so over cooked I couldn’t eat it, in the end I didn’t have it at all. The service is impeccable, lovely staff and a wonderful ambience. I suppose that’s why everyone loves this place so much, I enjoy it for those reasons only- not the food. :)

We booked well in advance as it's a popular spot with tourists. Valet parking was extremely welcome. The staff are great and we had exceptional service. The menu is eclectic, with some unexpected dishes like shepherds pie! I enjoyed the shrimp curry which is rightly a signature dish. Our table was by the beach and we dined in the moonlight listening to the breakers. To visit in the evening requires planning ahead. Lunch tends to be more available.

INCREDIBLE!!! We had the most amazing dinner and service. Strongly recommend booking in advance. We dined at sunset (5:30pm reservation in January) which was absolutely MAGICAL. We ordered the Pan Roasted Salmon with Cajun Shrimp and Bucatini Pasta - both were perfection. This is the nicest restaurant on the island so treat yourself - it’s totally worth it. You are paying for amazing food quality, lovely service and staff and of course the ambience and view. This is a MUST when visiting Barbados.

Just finished dinner. The service was terrible. When brought to the attention of the senior person running the area of tables she took 15% off the check. I didn’t want a discount. I wanted the service to be ‘snap on’ and the food to be hot and delicious. We’ve been going to Lone Star for about 15+ years. Staff really did not care what happened. Won’t be back. Time you started to care about your customers rather than just passing off their comments. Nothing genuine about the staff or service.
