Great authentic Italian food and deserts. Amazing wine and drinks. Great servers and wonderful atmosphere. The music playing on the sound system set the right mood to enjoy a great dinner. They have a entertainer that sings and plays a guitar on fridays.

Very nice staff and pretty decor, but food was just mediocre. I'd ordered stuffed mushrooms, soup and eggplant salad. However there was no eggplant but fried bread crumbs. My husband ribs were just ok nothing spectacular, he left half of it and he is a meat eater. Not sure if we ever go back there again.

Sal and Jeff were extremely caring, helpful, and accommodating with my father’s funeral luncheon. I had never been to Mambo Italiano before and was planning this while living out of state. I could not have asked for a more attentive staff, delicious food, and familial ambiance. I would like to give a special shout out to Roy for his stellar service and attention. I highly recommend Mambo Italiano!

I should have listened to what I had read in the reviews. Service was horrible. The wait staff was running around, forgetting drinks and what people had ordered. The well drinks took forever because the bartender was "over whelmed". The cook served the birthday boy his dinner on a cracked plate. Which was immediately returned to the kitchen. Remade, but came back with the wrong protein. The ladies room was absolutely disgusting. The smell, tacky floor, over flowing paper bins with all manner of paper strewn everywhere. I immediately turned and walked out. The food wasn't good either. The charcuterie board looked like it was leftover scraps. The chicken parmesan was bland. The house salad tasted like I was eating grass. Although, the complimentary bread was delicious. In short, think twice before you spend your hard earned money at this establishment. Walk down to the pizza place in the same strip mall.

When we first walked in we were greeted kindly by the owner Sal. Our server Antonio was incredibly personable, had vast knowledge and recommendations from the menu, as well as being incredibly diligent. Our food; appetizers fresh and delicious. Salads are very generous. Their chicken Marsala was delicious. Fresh ravioli divine. And the kings plate was the zuppa De Pesche. Drinks; old fashion to perfection, lemonchello martini, lemonchello were divine. For desert we had classic spumoni, delicious cannoli puffs, classic cannoli were everything that we expected! While we were dining we even sent the menu link to our family and friends! Needless to say we highly recommend Mombo Italiano. We will be back soon!

First thing I will say is that the food was delicious despite the wait. Portions were large and all 3 of us had food to take home. We ordered the Shrimp Gambi, Spinach Lasagna with meatballs, and Spaghetti with meatballs. Plus we got a dessert for a birthday! Just unfortunate that we came at a bad time. Walked in to put our name in for a table of 3, but stood waiting behind the door dash guy for 5 minutes as no one greeted people as they walked in. People were all clustered at the door eventhough there was ample seating to the side. Finally put my name down and we sat for another 10 minutes until a guy that looked like the manager asked us what we were waiting for. He said he'd get us seated right away. Another 10 minuets goes by and we ask if we can sit at the bar instead but couldn't having a minor in our group. Checked with the hostess and from her look I could tell that they had forgotten about us. She sat us right after but another wait from the server be acknowledged. He had 2 other tables and a small party besides us. At least he was very apologetic for his delay and informed us that several servers didn't show up for their shift that night. We arrived at 6:30 on a Sunday and didn't leave until almost 9pm.

Nice environment and excellent service. That said, food was on the expensive side while quality was just okay. Ravioli cost $25 but was too salty and just lukewarm when served. Scallops cost $45 but didn’t taste fresh. The best food all night was the complementary bread, which was honestly delicious with their olive oil and butter.

Outstanding service and food! The atmosphere has a somewhat upscale without being stuffy vibe but is very comfortable and inviting. I really enjoyed the many types of raviolis and especially enjoyed the vodka sauce rigatoni. I almost made a meal out of that amazing warm crusty Italian bread they start you out with! The soup was delicious and the servings were all very largely portioned as well, good bang for your buck.

Nice ambience, good food, friendly staff. There were some tables set up outside but while waiting for carry out, some people into the dining room. We ordered grilled calamari salad, spicy chicken and linguini with white claim sauce. Not enough sauce for pasta that it was dry when we arrived home.

First of all, they have a great atmosphere here. Some soft live music and a good menu with options for everyone. I was there with a party of eight and the service was excellent. Everyone in my party enjoyed the music, food and staff. The food was great and I would recommend this restaurant for any occasion.

Excellent food and service. Lots of gluten free options - never a problem to accommodate with gluten free dishes and never a reaction. We go for lunch or dinner. Hosted a family event for a large group of elderly people and the wait staff was terrific! Atmosphere is great! Parking is ample. Easy to get to. Sal is also very generous with supporting local charities. Keep up the good work!

The Owner Sal has really outdone himself with this restaurant. He has made it a place where you feel at home, welcomed like family. The food is always incredible and they will meet all your needs when it comes to your dining Experience! and I have to mention the service is impeccable. I can’t say enough good things about Mambo Italian! I highly suggest you go there.

It is a nice restaurant. Food was ok. Waiter was nice. It was just ruined by the fact that they kept spraying fabulous right next to our table. It ruined the taste of the food and gave me a headache. The smell was in my nose and mouth. I couldn't tell where it was coming from until the dinner was over. It doesn't make sense why they have that stationed right next to the tables. You'd think they would have that set up in the back somewhere. I'm shocked that nobody else complained. Staff was apologetic when I mentioned it but doesn't change the ruined experience.

Tonights dinner was outstanding ...Nona would have approved. The Braciole was very tender and so delicious. Nate took care of us, so if you're in the mood for Italian and in the neighborhood, stop in .

I looked up best Italian restaurant near me and it popped up. Our waiter was amazing and had great suggestions. We had the grilled and fried calamari as an appetizer. The bread, salad, and soup were good. My pasta carbonara was amazing! It was my mom’s birthday so we got the three chocolate layer thing with hazelnut crunch. It was sooooo delicious!!!

My daughter graduated this past Friday from the Naval Base. By far the best Italian food I have ever eaten. Sal and his crew were wonderful. We didn't have a reservation but he seated us right away and even sent her back to base with extra Tarimisu since she enjoyed it so much. Thank you again for the wonderful time, atmosphere and food. Have recommended you to several people and will definitely be back.

I was looking for an easy takeout meal. I stumbled across the Peppers and Egg sandwich. They recommended it on garlic bread with cheese. I know it sounds like something weird to get especially at such a nice establishment with so many options, but it was nuts. So incredibly good. Get it with fries. I highly recommend it as well as everything else on the menu. Great location for large family gatherings. Awesome ownership and staff.

Second visit in 2 days. Had veal, pasta efagioli soup, mostacholi w meatballs & sausage, caesar salad, tarimusu and some adult drinks. Sal and the crew got it coverd with the real meals! No complaints, love this place! Forget about eating anywhere else!

We went here for New Year's eve dinner, the food and service was fantastic! A large variety of Italian dishes available including seafood, steak, ribs, and chops. Their own hand made pasta, a good selection of wine, and a nice selection of deserts. We had a great time and loved the food and ambiance. My seafood risotto was by far the best in the NW suburbs, we are definitely coming back soon!

I was a patron at Mambo Italiano on February 3rd in the evening. We had a wonderful dine in experience. I had an eggplant lasagna that came with a salad and a pasta( fettuccine Alfredo). Everything was delicious! The waitress was friendly. Even though I live 5 hours away, we will be back! The atmosphere, food, and staff were top tier!

The service and the food was very good! The cocktails option was optimal and flavorful. First time here and with a larger party of 12. My husband and I will definitely come again. The charcuterie board was delicious!

We went for lunch where the prices are much lower than the dinner menu but the portions are just as huge! Our server was super friendly and attentive the food came out fast and most importantly it tasted amazing. I highly recommend going for lunch!

An awesome Italian restaurant! They have a very classy yet family vibe in there. I got the chicken Marsala and it was cooked to perfection! The service was also very great. Will def be coming back!

Stopped in for a quick lunch and was not disappointed. Gluten free options are so good. The owner really cares about his customers.

The service was incredibly slow, we had reservations for 13 yes a large party but we waited over 2 hours for our food, over an hour for our salads. We could have overlooked this if the food was fantastic, it was not. It was OK, not horrible but luke warm and underwhelming. My husband had the steak, I had chicken marsala.

Great fettuccine Alfredo with chicken (lots of chicken). Great spaghetti and meatballs. Great calamari. Looking forward to trying more on their menu.
