Amazing staff and food. Went for dinner and ordered the king cut prime rib with French onion soup. The soup was amazing and the prime rib was made to perfection. Will definitely be coming back.

Outstanding food!! Great service and a really classy atmosphere. I had the famous "fall off the bone" ribs and prime rib. The ribs were an excellent representation of this style of Chicago ribs, extremely tender, high quality baby back pork ribs with a char finish and a tangy bbq sauce (served on the side). The prime rib was cooked perfectly and came with a homemade horseradish sauce on the side. Great wine selection, Bill the partner there was really knowledgeable about the list and it was obvious that they've put a lot of thought into the selection. I'll be back soon to experiment with more of the menu items! Today I tried the Happy hour specials and I have to say these are some of best specials I've ever had!!

We had a 90th birthday celebration for my mother-in-law. The service was absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond to make this a special day. Everyone attending said their food was absolutely delicious. We all thank you for a wonderful day.

We hosted our parents’ 40th anniversary dinner at Gale Street Inn, and they did an AWESOME job. Their manager Bill was so easy to plan with; he designed an awesome table for our 25 guests. Mario and Rolando did an incredible job waiting on our entire party. They kept our glasses full, and our food came out hot. They provided the best service we’ve experienced in a long time - truly a fine dining experience.

The new and improved Gale Street Inn is a great place to celebrate any occasion. The food is outstanding, the views of the lake are romantic and the remodeled building looks great! Chicago quality in the suburbs! Great place to bring the family or to celebrate time alone with your loved one. Highly recommended!

Gale Street Inn is a hidden gem! Delicious food and attentive staff. Only drawback was that it took quite a while to get our check at the end of the meal. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Have been back a few times since this review. New owners a couple years ago. Menu and quality of food fantastic. They went from supper club to a relatively high end restaurant. Steaks, chops, seafood great. Comfortable spot and great bar friendly bartenders. The prime rib and king crab legs excellent. Combo to. Salad and windowed dining room make for a great comfort food dinner.

Food and service were excellent. Shared full slab of ribs and the beet salad. Yum. The Williams Cabernet was delicious. Disappointed that they don't offer an IPA beer, but good wine selection.

Excellent service food was exactly what I ordered. Everything was perfect high recommended. Chef Jose was very professional. The level of detail on the presentation was beautiful and food was cooked perfectly. The perfect balance of flavor, freshness, texture, aromatic, and color. Exceptional from start to finish. I have not been here for at least 15 years and it is my loss. The place is beautiful service amazing and food even better. From the appetizers to meal it was 5 Star all the way! The NY Strip was perfectly cooked the flavor was one of the best. My wife’s salmon was done to perfection and a huge portion. The Prime Rib was a Queen cut and done to perfection. The house salads are the nicest I have had. Please go and enjoy!

I grew up going to the original Gale St. Inn when I lived in Chicago but this location just blew me away. The atmosphere is very modern, the service is outstanding and the food was delicious. Everything was clean and organized even with the winter blizzard from this past week with happy staff there despite weather conditions. Also, Bill, the GM, was very polite and walked around to all people at the restaurant to greet them and speak with them. We drove almost one hour cause of the winter storm and would gladly do so again as we loved this location more so than the original in the city. Hands down, amazing experience.

My husband and I enjoyed a rare date night at Gale Street Inn Mundelein and the food and service were impeccable. This was the first time I visited the location in probably 20 years, since eating there before a high school dance, and all I have to say is this ain't your momma's Gale Street Inn. (And I'm your momma!) Upscale feel, amazing service, watched the sun go down over Diamond Lake as we ate a delicious filet mignon and whitefish almondine. Highly recommend both dishes, and the vegetables for the almondine were plentiful and cooked to perfection. The bar area is spacious and looks fun as well. Check this place out if you're celebrating a special night, or want to make an ordinary night special.

Great views and great service. Best Bone in Rib-eye. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Worth every penny! Only wish the noise level was a bit more controlled, but not really sure how a restaurant could even do that when the dinner guests are so happy! I will definitely try to return next time I am in the area.

we stopped in for a very late lunch today! The new updated interior is lovely. The owner seated us and shared about all the changes which really caught my ear. I was pleased to hear that they are in house and make everything fresh, no canned no frozen no stuff that i don't eat. Soup and wedge salad were delish hubby had steak tacos that looked great he enjoyed immensely! Shrimp cocktail was wonderful too! Probably my new favorite place when I get back to this area! Well done!

Delicious. Great atmosphere with a view of a lake. Everyone was very kind and complimented my girlfriend on her dress many times. They were a very sincere and kind group of people. The food was really well cooked, fresh, and delicious. The sides were perfect as well. This is a wonderful restaurant and I will be back.

Had not been to Gale St for years! Went there for lunch. What a wonderful lunch! The service was great. The food was excellent! The ribs were better than I remembered. If you haven't been there in a while, give them a try. New owners.
