The hostel is incredible nice and clean. Everything is new and looks really good. Also the location is good. You are in 15 minutes at dotonbori and in 4 minutes at the closest subway station/10 minutes at the nearest train station (loop line). The people working here are also incredibly nice and helpful. Altogether really clean and new hostel with good price.

The best hostel I've ever stayed in. Very clean and cool, the beds are great and there are plenty of showers. There's a bar, a living room area to socialise in and the owners are extremely friendly. Couldn't have been better!

Yuki and Show are amazing people! They are very warm and welcoming. The living room area is huge and impressive! The rooms (depending how many people you have sharing with u) have Japanese-style bunk beds (American bunk beds are creaky and unstable) that have bottom lockers (if you bunk with strangers coz you're alone) with a lock (deposit [refundable] of 1000 yen if you want a room key to lock it). AC living room, AC room, the shower is amazing and has great water pressure (you'll understand) and it's really nice to experience Japanese culture. It's an awesome experience...separate from the mundane hotel-in-the-city experience.

The place itself is great! it's clean and well maintained. I love that the bunk beds are not creaky unlike most hostels I've stayed at. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The location is very conveniently located near subway stations and Dotonbori. :)

A charming little hostel with a wonderful host. The place is clean and the room is spacious compared to most places in Japan. The free breakfast was nice :) A definite place to stay in Osaka as it is not far from everything but far enough to have some quiet rest.

Very nice and clean hostel. They propose twin rooms with shared facilities. Very reliable and quick wi fi connection. Friendly English speaking staff. Free breakfast with coffee, toasted Japanese white bread (fluffy like a pillow!) and orange and strawberry jam. Excellent value, very reasonable price. Really nice, highly recommended. You can rent a bike fo 800 yen a day to explore Osaka on your own.

This is a really cute guesthouse. The owners are really helpful and welcoming. The rooms are clean, showers are clean, there's a big living room where you can talk 24h but need to close the doors so we don't bother others guests, a kitchen is available and a bar and close to 2 train stations, including one that directly leave from Kansai Aiport. Only CON is there is NO elevator and it's a building of 3 floors. The stairs are quite steep so it can be a challenge to go up with large luggage. But don't worry, the owners will help you if needed! So I would recommend this guesthouse to anyone and would definitely go back there if I go back to Osaka!

Cozy doesn’t even begin to describe this joint. Besides being incredibly affordable and convenient, Funtoco completed my stay in Osaka. The staff was so kind and informative. They were really helpful in planning my stay in the area. They also rent bikes for about 800 yen for a day. If weather permits, this is highly recommended; Osaka is very bikeable.

👍👍 Go to the basement floor which has all kinds of food stalls and specialty stores. Go there an hour before closing and most of the packaged food items will be discounted like 30% or Y300 off. It’s great deal for budget travel. They also have very good yogurt drinks and other bakery items.

👍👍 Had to wait ~15 min to enter at 10am on a Friday. The beef curry rice was ok. The pancake was nothing special, borderline disappointing. The cafe au lait was decent though. The star of the show was the french toast. It has this melt in your mouth sensation which was quite unique. Felt like eating...
