One of the most beautiful buildings in Nancy. It deserves to become a museum and not a university office. To visit during the JEP!

This was once a private mansion of a printer, Albert Bergeret, built by Lucien Weißenburger who also built the second addition to the now School of Nancy art nouveau museum. Of particular interest is the famous ironworker, Louis Majorelle (refer to Villa Majorelle for reference) supplied the ironworks for this building. It's now own by the University of Lorraine so there's no public access to see inside. But, I still admire the curves and lines that are synonymous with art nouveau style architecture. It's near Saint Peter's Church of Nancy and the Regional Hospital and Orly Park. It's again really worth a look especially if art nouveau is an interest and what better city to indulge but here in Nancy.

This building belongs to the Presidency of the University of Lorraine, there is no longer access through this door. You have to wait for heritage days to have the chance to appreciate the Gruber stained glass windows with the incoming light. From the outside, it doesn't have the same effect.

Magnificent art nouveau house. Very interesting to visit, it is sometimes a shame that the upper floors integrate less old and modern

Art Nouveau place with beautiful stained glass windows, furniture and glass roof. It’s a shame that only the living room, the hall and the staircase can be visited.

The lady who served as our guide (who worked in one of the offices when she was active) ruined our visit!!! We were interested in the house and its furniture, as well as the stained glass windows. We wanted to see, and not spend our visit listening to it!! Because she listened to herself, the lady, giving great detail on the making of the colors of the stained glass windows, their assembly, what else!! impossible to advance in the visit (BANNED😁). We had planned a 1 hour visit, as indicated when booking, we left after an hour, the visit far from over because of the lady who never stopped listening....

The true future of this marvelous residence would be to restore it (facades, etc.) by completely transforming it into a museum for the happiness and joy of visitors. This unique architecture can be seen from the inside! It bears witness to the genius of the Nancy School. The current use in offices is not appropriate: it makes it invisible to the public. This house deserves better... Thank you for the virtual tour ;-) ... I hope one day real...
